I've got a chance to visit many buffets, from the iconic Buffets in Las Vegas to the grand buffets in France, but there's just something about the buffets in Asia that sets them apart. Today, I get to visit a buffet in Bali Indonesia and it's not just any buffet, but proclaimed to be the best in Bali! And what does the best luxury 5 star buffet offer? I'm excited to find out!
The St Regis Bali Resort offers a very unique start to the buffet. The first hour, from 11am - 12pm, is an unlimited cocktail hour where the resort offers their best cocktails for you to enjoy and start off the brunch the right way. The plenty of drinks and libations to choose from and on an unlimited basis at that, celebrations erupted early and the hour flew by.
Next was on to the second phase of the buffet! A quick walk from the lounge to the dinner area, you were greeted with the servers and hosts upon entry. And while there were more drinks to come should you chose your appropriate beverage package, I was more than happy with the alcoholic drinks especially the water! But it's really about the food and they certainly lived up to the expectations of being the best buffet in Bali! From the caviar, to the lobster as well as all the intricate well thought out dishes like the eggs nouvelle with a soft egg custard covering a perfectly poached lobster with salmon roe on top to offer a nice kick. Or the roasts of Wagyu beef cooked to medium and the plates and plates of foie gras and other decadent dishes... It was a wonder 3 hours of non-stop cuisine...from the International fare to the local dishes, there something for everyone.
And of course, it's alway the people you meet that makes the experience special. From the great servers and hosts to the amazing fellow guests that you get connect with. Amazing ladies from Australia celebrating birthdays and friendships, and a big thank you them for sharing the laughs, smiles, and their champagne.

Not your average buffet. Such elegantly presented dishes. That egg and artichoke in the shell. The lobster omelet. Boy, that happy hour almost did you in! Have to remember the old saying "never drink on an empty stomach". Hello from party sunny Corvallis Oregon.

I think that lovely woman (at the buffet with the caviar) was hitting up on you Tim. You looked a little embarrassed... lol. What an amazing buffet. I can't believe how much food you ate. I do hope the ladies at the neighboring table had a designated driver...lol. My granddaughter is of Indonesian descent. I do hope to bring her to Bali one day.
That was a lot of food and a lot of drinks… Between the intoxication and the food coma, it was a struggle to leave… Happy to say we got ride share back

Very nice buffet. The resort is beautiful. Everything looks so delicious. I would stick my face in the seafood gratin. So gooey! You hit the potato jackpot 🎰. Finally the lobster omelet. I was worried there a bit. The girls were certainly celebrating. I think you have a fan club. 😊
It was a very fun event, and I can’t imagine having such a great buffet at such price point! Really enjoyable and the ladies there certainly made it more fun!

Went to this buffet 2 weeks ago when I was in Bali. Price is still the same and for Australians, price converted is $75. Just an absolutely beautiful buffet and I relaxed and spent 3 hours there just enjoying the live music and brilliant food. I ordered off the menu also and Tim is correct, there are some truly outstanding dishes on this menu and buffet. For me, the portion sizes are just right, because you can try a lot of different things, because the portion sizes are half sizes. Great idea.

it all looks amazing. i do worry about the slick on slick plates where it all can slide right off.. one trick is a small napkin underneath to keep them from flying off.
I was a bit worried, especially with the little Glass cups for the dessert. Really had to balance there.😉

No matter what they serve you here, you can't go wrong for $47. That's a super reasonable amount for any meal, especially a 5 Star Buffet!! 🌿
It is an incredible experience and this is the first time I’ve ever had unlimited cocktails for the first half of the buffet. The dining room had levels and steps throughout, and it became a little hazardous to some of the other guests.😁

I would have skipped the cocktail hour or it had to be alcohol-free. and the food was omg tasty and so much and good quality I saw. I think I wore pants with elastic waistbands 😅.and the food just keeps coming. Just a little while and you won't be able to walk anymore. food for days lol. another super nice video. thank you Tim ❤
The cocktail hour plus the peer pressure from the ladies at the next table was a recipe for a fun disaster😉. Really impressive buffet and would highly recommend if you’re visiting Bali.

That 5 star buffet looks so upper class and very smart. Never tried caviar before or Foi gras either, they have a great selection of yummy foods.

I think that was a gazpacho. Either yellow tomatoes or cantaloupe, and I forgot which.

It was quite a nice buffet, and it’s interesting because they just come around with the cocktails to you. It’s a little bit hard to resist, especially once they set them down at your table.😉

You should try the sunday brunch at the Soleil, Mulia next time you're in Bali. I think that's the best buffet in Bali by far with their extensive ala carte and display buffet with Boneka coming in a close 2nd. The cafe's buffet by Mulia is overrated in my opinion, there isn't much of a premium choice that makes it stand out from the others.

I would highly recommend the Saint Regis. Both are great, but it’s the made to order dishes and the pre-buffet drinks that wins it for Saint Regis.

They had a couple of dishes, and I couldn’t order all of them. But I did get the lobster omelette, which was delicious especially the sauce.
Damn! McDonald cost me almost $30.
What you thought was lobster, was actually a prawn.
I NEVER drink booze before eating - or I don't feel like eating!!! Haha

Great videos! I'd have to give the buffet constructive criticism and ask recommend they not bring food to a table at a buffet that wasn't asked for. You can't assume to know a persons preferences or food allergies. It's just not very classy either! Wonderful looking place, but I think they should avoid bad first impressions from such a simple thing not to do!
