Bahut khoob 👍 Achcha laga kaafi malumaat ke saath apno ka zikr bhi sun kar Justice Murtaza Hussain sahab ne apni practice mere Nana ke saath shuru ki thi aur unki accidental death ke baad unka munshi Puttan sahab ke saath hi lag gaye the
His great grand daughter Seema Baquer was my batchmate in JMI from 1999-2002 where we completed our LLB. Her parents were phenomenal human beings. Ali saheb, her father was a thorough gentleman and I have had the honour of having lunch at his residence. They passed away. Fond memories ⚘
Very interesting and informative episode ! I still have the original group photo of 1935 members of the Council with Sir Husain Imam along with my Grand father RS Pundit Gokaran Nath Ugra who was also a member at that time. Sir Imam is sitting in the first tow, while my grandfather is in the fourth row !!
Thanks for sharing this.. Aap to humme , hamarey Ghar le Gaye.. sirf Phatak kholna baaqi tha.. All the neighbours including your family members came back in the flash of my mind.. Nice video covering Lacknow culture, we are waiting for your videos covering Lacknow Azadari. Hope you will make some detailed videos on Lacknow Muharram
Abdi sir! Adaab! Bahot hi umda episode tha yeh. I am a law student and watching it from Canada. Meri khala ka ghar hai golaganj maqbare ke pathak par. Sab jagah jo aapne batai woh main aqsar jaata tha. Unke baare mein jaan Kar accha laga. Main aapse guzaarish karunga ki aap episode banaye Lucknow ke schools aur colleges par, khususan La Martiniere College, Lucknow university ya Christian college par. Bahot shukriya. You’re keeping the culture alive!
Mera naam Amir Nabi hai. Main aapka channel bahot time se follow kar rha hun. I really love hearing the anecdotes you tell about Lucknow. Though I am in Canada my heart still remains in Lucknow! I hope to meet you someday sir!
Correction : Mrs. Zohra Chatterji was Chairman of Coal India, not Steel authority as inadvertantly mentioned by me in this episode . She also held the office of Secretary of Textiles ministry in govt of India.
Thank you for such an informative episode. I was always curious to know about the legacy of Awadh judiciary as one generation of my khaandaan/clan was all barristers who had gone as far as the US or UK. One of them was my mother in law’s grandfather, the famous Barrister Chaudhari Haider Husein of Aminabad. Here’s a little about him on Wikipedia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chaudhari_Hyder_Husein . Would be really nice to have a discussion on his legacy and the history of the Aminabad kothi. There are so many surrounding areas of interest there. I find it fascinating that he founded the Lions club in India and upon his visit to San Francisco, his name was added here and when I moved to SF 33 years ago, I could not believe and had to verify from my relatives in Lucknow that he indeed had already visited SF back then!
