Wonder if that's got something to do in ME/CFS and Long Covid. Apparently there has been an attempt to make a medication for the mitochondria in Japan and now some company is trying again. Hopefully in the next couple years there will be a medication that helps us folks...the dream to get ones life back.

In Japan I have seen some researcher cleaning with iodine I think inside the upper end parts of the nostrils, saying they are infected and inflamed . After 3 months of treatment patients recovered . I saw one teen girl on wheelchair start to walk again return to school once that inflammation goes away .
Its possible since long COVID and CFS etc began with a virus and that inflammation never got treated as doctors don't check or link it .
I want to go to Japan for my long COVID to get that treatment.

Whatever happened to protein folding distributed-compute projects like folding @ home? Did anything come of them to help us engineer biology? Do we know enough probabilistic recursive folding stage trends to decode the adaptive intent and natural selection feedback mechanisms of evolution?

Sounds like it could be more beneficial to take ergothioneine 2 to 4 hours after exercise. I'm guessing it might be most effective for quicker muscle recovery. Anecdotally, I tried it right before exercise with mixed results. NMN seems better with it than AKG. But I'm switching to using it as a post workout supplement than a pre-workout. Let's see what happens....

    • @lowbarbillcraig3689
      @lowbarbillcraig3689 9 днів тому

timing of ergothioneine is probably completely irrelevant - its half life in the body is very long. Rat half life being one month.
Daily intake will raise body levels over time. Even once a week intake will probably lead to steadily rising tissue levels (with an asymptotic approach to a maximum - to see an approximation of what concentration would look like search google for "graph voltage rc charging circuit" )
because it's a very powerful antioxidant it's likely to inhibit some exercise adaptations IMHO while improving others.
I know a couple of studies found some improvements in mitochondrial function in rodents, I'd like to see replicated HUMAN trials of this.
Although if there's money available for research a proper triage would be to study ERGO's effects in dementia & brain in general. It's promising there also and that's a much higher priority, again IMHO.

Here is one for you Nick...the Solfeligia frequencies and their direct relationship to health (healing). All these molecules are nice to learn about but let's get down even deeper into the rabbit hole with all things are energy... frequency, vibration, resonance... Their impact on us is.... EVERYTHING!

Anecdotally this does in fact heal wounds and injuries faster. I've tried high doses on my offspring. All things equal, diet is mostly organ meats, beef tripe, eggs, bone marrow, greens, a bit of fruit, pistachios, macadamia nuts, cashews. Supplements are d2&d3, monomethylsilanetriol, Geranylgeraniol, astaxanthin, occasional rhodiola, lumbrokinase, hylauronic acid 200mg, pqq (20mg once a week). uridine monphosphate (on high potassium intake days, otherwise they'll get leg cramps), omega 3. The l-ergothioneine in high doses i.e 100mg-400mg daily when injury occurs (because kids are walking death traps) I've noticed substantial recovery time. For instance things that would take a couple weeks to heal would heal much faster.

underrated- and some might deem it obvious but the opinion of an expert in the area of "Would you take this or not" is quite important when distinguishing between specialized complexity which a lot fo people might not be able to abstract understanding out of- like biomedical studies. While the opposite: informed opinions, like an experts recommendation are more digestible. Mr. Physionic has a PhD, and seems quite fair, so I would love to hear his opinion.

Dr. Nicolas, I admit this is a strange question but i believe it is one that needs to be discussed if you ever do so. That is… for men, does chronic sex and/or masturbation accelerate aging? The reason I ask is because it would not surprise me if this causes stem cell exhaustion as it requires constant large energy resources to regenerate these cells. They are not unlimited from my understanding. Thoughts, video?

Some of the highest food sources are from mushrooms. The following have high levels of ergothioneine:
King Bolete (Boletus edulis) ( AKA porcini) - often available as dried. I grind them up and put them in my coffee.
Oyster Mushrooms. Shiitake Mushrooms. Maitake Mushrooms. Lion's Mane Mushrooms
The following have decent amounts: white button mushrooms, cremini and portobello.
