I've been playing Axis Invasion disguised as a normal soldier a lot lately. I'm new to the game and not very good, but I win most of my matches because I can act like an NPC and just walk out in the open without fear. It's kind of incredible how brazen you can be if you just walk casually instead of running, as long as they don't notice a secondary weapon on your back then you almost never have to worry about being seen. I also play with iron sights so they can't tell when I'm aiming at them. It's hilarious to stroll across an open field until you spot Karl, then just wander to the nearest cover with a good angle on their path forward and wait for them to walk out.
Im playing sniper elite 4 at the moment, almost 300 hundred hours play time but loving every minute of it. Just started playing the other quests now so more fun to be had 😁

5:10 AFAIK germans tanks were primed in red before adding camo, so it could be some of the primer sticking out due to wearing and the likes. which IMO could be kinda coherent since it appears on the wheels and the base of the piece.
@@your_avg_us_main In this particular mission, the Japanese brought over some of their artillery for Germany to test & use against the Allies. The whole reason the Allied sniper is there is to sabotage the weapons before they can be utilized.
@@kazakhstanisastate4614 Not sure why they would want the Japanese artillery when they had Krupp and Rheinmetall. Usually it was the Germans sending the Japanese some scraps.
WTH is the scope glint in this game?! I thought I was looking at a damn search light the first time I saw it! Might as well add some huge floating neon signs pointing at your enemy.
@@TizbutaScratch that gigantic search light of a scope glint is the biggest immersion breaker I've seen in years. Scope glint is a tiny split second flash of light not the LED high beam of a modern car.

Pretty sure there are scope types that either reduce or remove the glint. Their zooms suck that. One thing Im surprised is that I dont think Ive seen anyone use decoys yet
I just wish games had scope glint work realistically, meaning you have to consider where the sun/light sources are when positioning yourself Scopes having a bright ass LED on them whenever you aim is something games will have now for way too long
Yes, pink is often used in certain camouflagues, such as in deserts. The repeated duels with the last guy were amazing. The disrespect of shooting him through the scope only to get clean domeshots both times after. That's consistency.
7:37 I have rewatched this section so many times, turning it down to 0.25 speed and pausing to look around and I still have no idea how you located that guy.
That kill in the tower was hilarious. I must admit I enjoy the kills when I see the person dive into the bushes thinking I haven’t and I throw a grenade , they light me up with the sniper sometimes even get a shot but they die first from the blast 😂
Thanks you so much for getting me into this part of the game , have played the campaign loads of times and still do as I love it but I never bothered with this untill I seen you and I have to say I’m loving it , it’s just good fun , I kind of wish you could speak or at least message but maybe it’s better you can’t , saves the almost definite trolls and abuse that would happen
I remember so many of my invasion kills ending up like that first one during the launch week when folks didn't know what invasion was or how to fight it
Love the pvp style of the game. I remember getting really good at Evolve when that was new, and when we spawned in, my friend started chasing the footprints. I told him that was a decoy, and the monster went the opposite way. He didn't wanna believe me so I went off on my own and low and behold the monster jumped me, and I spent the whole time flaming my friend for being so easily fooled.
I'm amazed how seemingly few people use Focus during an invasion. That guy you stuck with a grenade in the bush should never have been so unaware that you were there. When I get invaded, I immediately hunt down the invader, and I'm almost never NOT in Focus. Literal wall hacks are your biggest advantage, and using them, I WILL find you. Also, to this day, any time I'm scanning for an enemy sniper, whether player or AI, when I finally see them, I hear Raubvogel's hiss of _"I SEE YOU"_ in the back of my mind.
I gotta say, coming home from work to watch you hunt is actually pretty enjoyable. Maybe it's just that smooth, hypnotic voice, or maybe it's thinking about how I'd perform in your shoes. Either way, this is good stuff.
5:10 fun fact: pink worked wonderfully as a color for camouflage back in WW2, but it was only effective in a dessert environment. so definitely out of place there.
I love SE5, but the one time I played Axis Invasion was my first time playing the game. I was so nervous throughout but managed to kill the Sniper Jäger via SMG. Havent tried the mode since
I’ve just started playing this game, I ended up in the crow bar room until I killed every enemy then switched off the radar. I’m positive there’s a better way. Currently stuck in a field at the chateaux with alarms goin off everywhere. Great game
Interesting you pointed out the pinkish camo on the artillery piece, i live next to it on Guernsey and i dont think it has a third color aside from the green and yellow. It does however have some faded yellow rusted parts that look pale orange so maybe theyre trying to replicate that
I've had to go on hiatus, I started to have the maps learnt so well I could identify almost exactly where the Karl was from where I spawned, knew all of the AI locations and was almost never actually losing bar campers. gonna let the rust build up so I can have some proper hunts again.
Likely the last guy on Guernsey was using his Focus ability and could see your approximate direction on his compass. So he probably was scanning that bunker for you. It's hard to get a surprise on a decent Karl using that.
I'm new to the invasion part and not the greatest. So I do the same thing. I'm the Jager sniper black helmet. And I've taken the silencers off the guns. And I've actually gotta couple people off guard. They've ran into me thinking. I was the npc

It's called immersion. Scope glint is real and it will kill you quickly when there are enemy snipers out looking for you.

My guess is that pink you're seeing on the gun is exposed primer, though its awfully bright.
