- Phillip Schofield joins Andrea, Linda, Brenda and Saira to take a look back at his amazing career in television and to open up about how he's feeling since speaking about being gay for the first time on This Morning in February 2020. He explained how the decision affected him and why he wanted to be mindful of all those it might impact - including his family.
Phillip also opened up about his mental health journey, explaining why he believes it's so important for men to talk about what they're going through. And he shared some wonderful stories - including why he originally wanted to be a gravedigger before pursuing a career in television!

@@caroleoneill2872 there first meeting was a lot younger than 18 for sure. Do we really believe he waited until the young man was 18 before making his move? Possibly?
He was not forced to come out he told Matthew the night before, so he was never going to the press it's all a load of bullshit, & his lovely wife has stood by him & his daughters & they continue to do so right now I'm pleased he has some support Matthew & Philip are still friends & in contact

Weird both the schofield brothers have a thing for young boys/men. I mean both of them. Is it genetic or learned behaviour
The difference is Philip's was with an adult not a boy let's get that part right. Timothy however abused a young boy of 13 for three years & as you know by now was convicted on 11 charges of sexual activity with a child Philip has not been charged with anything he had a consensual on off relationship Matthew the said young man is still friends with Philip & still in touch he recently stopped at Philip's mothers house because he was attending the recent enquiry with ITV about it all. Matthew was very anxious & in a state at the time because he was frightened the relationship would get out to the public Matthew had not told his parents that he was gay Matthew is 27 now so even in the online video that was taken by Jack Jones he would of been 19 not underage as nearly everyone is saying we must all learn to get facts right because this could end up with someone ending their life There is only so much one person can take he has apologized to all of us not that I'm bothered either way he made one unwise decision to have an affair with a work colleague that in itself is not a crime either
I'm guessing this book is in the 50p bargain bin now.

He did not get Matthew the job at ITV they have already said he got the job on his own merits they said this at recent enquiry. It does not matter when he met Matthew these two are friends , I might add Matthew wants nothing more than a private life Matthew mental state at the time was he was worried the relationship would get out because he had not told any of his family, he was gay. There has never been any pay off Matthew's contract as a runner came to an end & he was given a redundancy package like anyone who is made redundant ITV have already confirmed this also. There was no NDA signed nor any pay off on Philip's part if Matthew wanted to go to the Police he could have done so. There has never been an injunction or super injunction if Matthew wanted to talk, he could have done so ages ago he was never going to the press because Philip already told him he was coming out that following morning on the This morning show. Matthew was descended on at his last job after Philip resigned this impacted his life he had to give that job up yet again when all this young man wants is his privacy he has a human right to this. Philip is paying for his lawyers at this time a top lawyer as Matthew does not have access to the sort of cash. Philip has & if there is any truth in a payoff Matthew would be in receipt of a lot of money if he had been paid to keep his mouth shut, as Philip has said there has been a lot said that is categorically untrue some of which is libelous.
