    Might very well be the best video I have ever watched. Interestingly I bought a divot board a few weeks ago. I’ve always struggled hitting the ball first and than taking a divot. The divot board saw me bottoming out before striking the ball=fat shots. Working with this video totally corrected that problem! Better yet taking it to the practice range, I was striping/compressing the ball really well. Huge difference this video has made on my ball striking. 13 handicap now and feel I can knock that down to a 9 or 10 putting your lesson to work. Not bad for a senior golfer in his late 60’s. Many thanks Danny!

    In just a few minutes you not only captured my "exact" problem, you also provided an easy to understand and apply solution! For me, the key is the angle, I have been coming over the top and now will adjust to allow my hands to stay forward. You are spot-on with the flicking of the wrist when I come over the top to much. The other thing I noticed was it allows the left wrist to stay straight much easier ... you are the best!

    Great video Danny. Played today and had a really pleasing day with the irons. It's an awakening when the feeling of hands forward of club head arrives. More distance and cleaner hitting. This video and your driver video, where you take the driver back and through the golf swing plane with the left hand only has helped my game a lot. Thank you 🤠🏌️

    This is a great blend of three classic swing drills. ('split hand', 'rod on grip' and 'paint brush') The graphics were a nice touch too.
    The arm and body positions from 4:40 through 4:48 are powerful AND square. The grip is strong through a beautiful arc.
    It would be interesting to see how that translates into face orientation at setup.

    Something about this drill clicked today, I’ve been having trouble with consistently striking irons and fighting a slice. By focussing on the ‘paint brush’ feeling it allowed me hit down on the ball and maintain a forward shaft lean far more consistently and also naturally helped me reduce my over the top and getting too handsy on the downswing. Really focussed on trusting the lower body rotation squaring the face rather than manipulating with hands and arms and worked a treat. High, straight ball flight with a slight fade bias which is my natural shape. Cheers Danny 👍🏻

    Thanx, Danny. This video is just in time. Last week I crushed a drive from the 17th green tee box, hitting way past the other three. The best drive of my life, only to screw up my iron shot to the green. A familiar story, I am sure.

    As always a practical visual on how to make the game more enjoyable. I have been a habitual flicker since day one and am slowly working through it to what you are teaching here. Your lessons/drills are making a difference - seeing more GIRs along with several nGIR which means more looks at Birdie and more pars made. Will be making this drill and last weeks part of the regular work - as both can be easily done at home.

    WOW!!! I went out today and put this to work exactly how you laid it out. While going after the first ball it felt weird coming down, but once I made contact it immediately made sense. You can ABSOLUTELY feel the difference in compression on that ball and it explodes off the club face. But, it feels very solid, comfortable, and consistently controllable once you grind that path and position into the swing. That was a revelation, lol. That was really cool and made a very big difference. Nice!! Thank you!!! AGAIN, LOL!!! 👍🏻😎👍🏻

    Hey - I think it's great that so many people seem to be helped by your videos and other golf instruction videos but, and I mean this in the nicest way possible, given the amount of golf instruction videos out there by so many "highly respected" instructors, with all due respect, why aren't their more really good golfers out there?

    • @DanielMaude
      @DanielMaude  3 роки тому +1

      I think there could be many answers to that. One could be people misinterpret lessons, coaches like me don’t put it across well enough, golfers aren’t patient enough often looking for a quick fix. There are many reasons.
      It takes time to improve. I do believe if we all had more of a child like mindset and were willing to mess up more often we would get better quicker
