you can see why Michiru is the best the series has offered by far, he actually do shit that pros do IRL in VG matches, damage deny according to matchup, early guards, tempo control, and ofc a bit of trigger luck
fucker has a gameplan from turn 1 and knows how to capitalize on it at every turn

@@ClassicalSquaresoft bro i've been playing this game since 2012, and trust me, not a single braincells has grown up there, which is why i always use the most braindead deck possible in every format, no matter who my opponent is and what's their deck, my one strategy is "fuck everything in that general direction"
Can we appreciate how in every fight Michiru has been so far he has a gameplan from the get go, sticks to it and it pays of ?

Very good game from Megumi as well, Alpin looking very good for the deck !
That's not his main appeal tho. It's that besides his champion attitude he's kind and passionate about the game but the dub makes him look like an asshole.
I do like how Michiru isn't an asshole, like he just enjoys playing the game but his general vibe comes off as snobbish while other people are literally playing their best just to try and reach his level.
bruh, Michiru is a pro for a reason, in episode 2 his playstyle was agrresive to counter final rush, today he was legit chilling, giving megumi 1 dmg, until he ride drajewel, then he started whaming her, while barely letting megumi attack to pass through till turn 4.
he fights like an actual player at a big event, knowing his opponents decks and what would be the best way to hinder them to maintain his advantage.
Idk tho, I think there was some cheating done on his behalf by the animator. There's no way that he's able to spend so many cards on guarding almost every attacks early and still have such a huge hand (with a lot of g0s) on magnolia elder's turn. And, it wasn't like he was holding back on calling rear guards too lol.
Also at the end, he never realized that he only won because megumi didn't get a single perfect guard. Megumi got robbed by the plot :(
@@stanleya.8805 Megumi certainly got robbed by not having the PG, but there was no cheating with Michiru's hand count. He went into Elder's turn with 5 cards in hand, which is not a huge hand by any stretch, and is consistent with what he should've had at that point.
@@liri7184 yeah and also he get a damage trigger and the rearguards of megumi were at 25000, 35000 and another 35000 power those who get guarded by not perfect guard so it was easy to michiro to guard them
@@liri7184 yea with his 2 rystal galer he was probably able to chuck his non trigger units into his soul and probably filtered into triggers.
Now that was a good display of how to handle strategy in this game. Michiru showed why he's such a boss.
I really like the effort the put for changing his play style depending on the opponent and there deck really shows why he’s considered the best.
Yeah, aggressive againts Bruce deck, and don’t making too much damage to opponent and guarding at early against magnolia
Notice he also discarded the multiattacker G2 in favor of that other G3 that retires stuff knowing that Megumi likely would've blocked a 4th attack and Magnolia is vulnerable to retiring.
@@elin111 Yeah, this is one thing I've noticed of Drajeweled that's making me shiver : he and his followers have EVERYTHING!!
Control, multi attack, draw, soul recovery... If you play it well, you can grab a win from any kind of match-up with this deck. I seriously think that Drajeweled can become meta.

Im really glad we could see their traning before tournament Megumi really gave her all.
Another banger episode, the use of top notch strategy in the game from start to finish and the emotion of defeat after working so hard towards something, it hurts my soul seeing that fall of megumi but what hurt more was michiru's genuine attempt at giving advice being taken as an insult I can feel it and I enjoyed watching this episode :D
Michiru playing against Magnolia like a season player. Really like Michuru's fights they are really close to IRL Tournament fights.
Is nobody gonna talk about the awesome theme song for Michiru; god frickin love that theme
I feel like the new character OST this season are on point all the way: the Metal Rock theme of Raika; the Requiem theme of Michiru; the Badass theme of Yuyu's Xo-Dress
Actually, about Raika's insert song on episode 3 is kind of trivial, since his VA Ogasawara Jin was the one who is singing it with a different character of another franchise. (More likely an anime band). The VA confirmed himself on his Twitter post.
Hazama is really a professional champion in this tournament as he knows everything about how Megumi's deck works. The ending takes us by surprise that Masanori actually working with an organizer.
I'm really liking the minimal card effects. In the past seasons, they were really in your face
Megumi tried the best she could but couldn’t beat Michiru. No wonder he’s considered the best fighter.

Michiru is such an interesting character he's always trying to control the tempo of the fight and has actually has a winning image in his head.
He reminds me of Zane from Yugioh Gx during his first duel with Jaden
I wonder how megumi could’ve won because I feel like she was pretty aggressive but michiru played around her, knowing that she needs cb to activate her effects.
I get the strangest feeling that Michiru can see things no human can see. Still, Megumi's character development has really picked up this season.

Well megumi did pretty good, surviving till turn 4 against this beast was already pretty good. I kinda want Megumi’s deck to get a new Magnolia in set 7 so her being in the top 8 is not just fodder.
Michiru's definitely the one to beat. That strategy was vicious.

He can feel he accidentally break her spirit (by reading her flame). I mean, she had been training rigorously, and luck came to help her (the twin critical check) yet that is not enough to beat Michiru.
I like how Blackout are portrayed as pompous, unskilled, and bratty instead of the stereotypical band of protags we usually get. I can see why Danji left the team lol

We finally get to see best boy Taizo fight and I seriously hope he tips the scale and wins against Raika.
Yeah I hope so too. I feel like Raika should get some type of loss before Yu-yu because I think it would make him more open to having fun during a match, if that makes sense.

I sorta want to see Raika losing to Taizou next ep since Taizou is built up to be kind of a more important character this season. And it also raises the bar for Yu-yu when he fights Taizou since at 1 win and 1 loss, he is at a precarious situation if he loses again, since I don't see Raika losing against Zakusa.
In fact I would see Jingi breaking the rules for Yu-yu's block with 3 players having 2 wins and 1 loss if Yu-yu wins against Taizou.

When they revealed all support it will be a very strong deck. Falcate Performer and Rock Agour are the keys for the deck to function properly. Rystal Galer is a hand replenisher. I also want to know about Power Gem and Matelbara effect.
@@kodokutamashi1569 Power Gem was revealed today: when it boosts, if you did the vanguard SB4 ability this turn, CB1 to look at top 2 cards, add up to 1 to hand, put rest in soul.

100% plot driven and 200% important for shadowing set up for season 2 and what the hell did michiru promise to danji
Megumi lost for not sleep enough, kinda sucks that only the people with imagination power are the ones to win the tournaments.
You can't win through effort alone, if you don't got the talent to hone with that effort then that's it. Despite the supernatural elements, it's fairly realistic.

Ok so this basically confirm my suspicion that all of block C is pointless as tohya is basically destroying them and willing to bet that the Other side character don’t matter. So although this may be late here my bet
Block A- yuyu and raika
Block B- urara and mirei
Block C- tohya and the hero dude( forgot his name)
Block D- michiru and megumi
Honestly I am disappointed that the other character didn’t even have a chance to show their play and it was just only the main story character that matter and the other are lose fodder for the main story character to beat which is such a let down
My theory is that Tohya fights Kirishima (the hero dude and dad) and their fight is about responsibility or some shit so I think there’ll be some sort of c block conflict

Alpin bind himself so it's fair, you can't recycle him with Elder or orders for more use, but if it can counter charge/soul charge on grade 3 turn it will be must have because of sinergy with Gabregg, Enpix and Bear

So what do you think about the episode explain and plot and ending
Well that was to be expected, but I do feel bad for Megumi though, all that effort only for her to lose, and to put more salt in the wound Michiru started saying how she would have made him change plans but due to her own actions, everything played out exactly how he wanted, I know he wasn't saying anything mean but he really made Megumi very frustrated just from that alone.
Also I just realized that we're halfway through this season but we havent seen a single full match on Block C, I was expecting Tohya vs Himari for Lyrical Monasterio presentation, but no it's a skipfight, now I'm really curious on who would be the other Block C fighter to join the tournament. Also Jinki has some ulterior motives along with Masanori, and a mystery person, wonder who it might be.
Next is Taizo and Raika, and I don't know who would win this one, though I do want Raika to lose.
I'm kinda expecting Raika to get his ass handed to him by Michiru.

I knew LM wasn't gonna make it past the blocks but I at least would've appreciated if they freaking acknowledged the nation and gave us an animation fight between her and Tohya since they spent the time to keep reminding Tohya to get ready for his next game. Well, whatever we get heroes and bastion for block C

Yeah this episode was 10 times better than the last one but the result is as expected. Megumi really did her best, but since she was facing someone who was stronger than her and even though Megumi gave it her all she still lost, it's sad to see Megumi lose, but I still respect her for going all out against Michiru. Judging from the episodes alone it looks like Semi Final matches would be composed of Yu-yu, Raika, Urara and Michiru if those four continue winning. Also it's great to see Masanori again along with another new character which would mean the plot would get better from here. The next episode will be the CEO Vestra guy against Raika which is something to look forward to. As for Jinke, he's just as crazy, hateable and punchable as Takuto if not worse.

@@emondadon From how i see it, Urara's backstory was meant to emphasize how she isn't really "special" but rather a normal person.
@@dotvee So basically like Mimori from the Shadowverse anime, but even then it was better handled than Urara. Compared to Mirei, Megumi Haruka and Tomari, Urara has the weakest character. It doesn't help the fact that she beats the previous antagonist with pure luck.

or during her Elder turn (making it triple trigger). She probably would still lost, but we could've seen a pink/white bear with deer horns whamed a giant dragon with at least 100 million damage lmao.

Drajeweled lowers the power to 1, but doesn't prevent power gain from effects.
Tch, the revelation today is kinda lackluster. I was hoping for Falcate Performer and Rock Agour. With those 2 cards alone and Drajewelled deck is complete. Rystal Galer is nice, because his skill is no cost, while Power Gem needs cb and very situational. But more or less it boosted the deck a bit
