The way a parent will protect their own kids is the same level of love and devotion a gang banger has to his gang/click/crew/hood. They will die proudly if it means they represented where they were from til the end. As a kid. I was guilty by association like James says. My homie was a gang banger. I remember on a summer night I’m watering the front lawn and my neighbors were from the north. They were kind of having a get together and my homie walks out of his house to get in his car. The northerners stand up to show em like what’s up we hear. A couple pull their guns and put them on their sides. The homie looks at them and laughs. Says something like “this is JT you ain’t going to do shit” his voice seriously shook the block. The shit was loud and strong with no fear in his heart. Ready to die for his hood right then and there. Those guys stayed posted til he drove off but you can see with guns they were even shook. Even after he drove off all of them were quiet asf. A couple days later the homie is chasing enemies out the hood shooting at their car. I seen so much shit from him that made me realize I could never be a gang banger. I don’t have the heart for it. It looked like that shit gave him a rush even when he was out numbered at times.

All James is trying to say is that Suge bought into the set and repped it afterwards. It's no different than Pac repping the set once they accepted him. The common denominator was money. Yes, Suge grew up in the neighborhood, so he was more an affiliate than an actual member. The Death Row run is what made Suge official because he was feeding the dudes from the set and they were putting in work as needed to ensure the money kept flowing. It was a symbiotic relationship. Had Pac lived another 8 years and stayed on Death Row, he would be known as a member as well. Nobody would have cared how he got on. Pac had dudes all across the world repping MOB even though they didn't know what it truly was. The same thing with Wayne fans. It became a fad. If you want to be honest, Suge only moved the way he moved because he had the set behind him. There's not one story with Suge rolling dolo and actually doing something. Every story with him rolling dolo and ending up in a confrontation, he took an L. In Vegas with Pac and Pac getting shot and Suge narrowly getting missed (In the casino it was a jump), In Cali when the Barber knocked him out and on the set of Straight out of Compton. The man was a bully purely because of his size, but he felt confident with the set holding him down. You can't be mad at James when they were the real gang members but Suge is known as a bigger blood than them simply because of fame. The point is Suge was able to move the way he did because of stardom while the real gang members had to keep their heads on a swivel. It's not the same level of participation. If you're from any set, you would understand this. For everyone else, you're just fans and this lifestyle is intriguing to you.
Agreed. Id say around 15 now, Better than Durant though, he has never led a team on his own. I think Joker will be top 10, needs another dominant championship run.

Industry Gangsts is a branding strategy. With Tupac, he was simply a revolutionary and artist. He saw art and metaphors in everything. i.e.,He would associate his gun, as being his girlfriend so well that those who were in the know, couldn’t differentiate the context. He was talking about MOB as in the true context of MOB how American Film introduced it. Tupac the artist, found varying meaning in the word by whites the first 3 characters into acronyms to fit his circumstantial style. He utilize the military terminology the same as did the western style of OUTLAWS. Tupac is much more complex than the average mind and even more complex to the brilliantly beautiful mind.

He's not knocking Suge he's actually giving him his flowers but also collecting his...if you know you know.. they're speaking about gangs and gang banging.. he's explaining Suge didn't own or doesn't own their click or didn't form it or rocked with the originals when they were rocking....James introduced Suge to the click and sent him soldiers to get started..James should have had a bag from Suge bigger than Dre, Snoop, and Tupac...Suge is definitely a real one though.. viewers just gotta understand the level's of the shit..Free big Suge BKA Simone! 💯💯💯💯💯💯
James lying Suge was a hood star everybody knew Suge
Suge a Boss..it’s levels true..he puts players in place and puts everything together to get the bag..when jealousy comes in the muscle gets jealous and want to be the man especially in this internet generation..but Suge was the face of a bad mofo creation Death Row…but black gangsterism has been tainted and infiltrated by snitches so he went out like a gangster defending his self
Talkin down on Suge and he did all the business and had niggas on the streets shook. As far as this dude naw nobody feared him.
Reggie, were there any safe parts of Compton in your day with no gangs?
Fantastic show... Keep it up!
Suge Knight still put his life on the line by wearing all that red and taking on the persona. Everybody knows that affiliation can get you tore up to. I get it though, he wasn't out there gangbanging like the real gang bangers, but to some extent he put his life on the line for his City and Hood that he definitely put on his back, while even helping out the other side. It's unfair to call him soft but I definitely understand how real gang bangers feel, because they get no breaks. 💯 Pasadena California Love when you grow up, you start to understand life in a whole new way. I love everybody, but ain't nothing like the section😮
85% of gang members never killed a soul. Just like it could 65 dudes from one neighborhood hanging outside selling drugs stealing cars and what ever else but only 12 of them has ever killed somebody
Dogg suge had money......dude wasnt a gangbanger or a gangsta, dude went to school and college..... the fact that his physical frame was huge and he became affiliated with some real dudes, and due to him having money he was able to create a fake persona.... he went around bullying industry dudes,
You saw them on video getting into it with street cats and this is still your story. People be wild trying to discredit folk.
@@adgee5401that don't make someone gangster. I don't gangbang, gangster but if someone fu**** with me, we fighting. It's called being a man. Suge had money, grew up in hood but never was involved in real street stuff until money...
@@chasenickles260 even DOC said Suge Knight was always a menace. Even when he was in school and all of that, he was always a bully. He always had that gangster behavior in him. He just never fully acted on it because he was trying to make it in the NFL. But trust me, even if he would have made in the NFL he was probably going to fuck up his career doing some street shit. Suge Knight, was who he was. He may be didn’t jump off the porch as early as those guys, but he was definitely with the business.
Mr.James right it's a difference between a Gang Banger and a Gang Member that's fact
A gangster can stand on his own a gang banger is a follower that stands on the program of the gang
💯
Please get a quality mic/mic setup. That would take your videos to another level and make them more enjoyable and desirable to watch/listen to. The echo makes it difficult to understand what’s being said compared to other podcast/video account’s regarding Tupac etc.
Also you’re saving a part of history, save it in quality. Mean all of this respectfully and on a genuine note.
I knew Marion in the late 80’s and trust me, Marion was about that life!
What gang was he in?
@@rtz549 never known Marion to be in a gang! Marion was a bouncer when I knew of him. There was a place called the Red Onion in LA (if it still exist) he use to be at. Also mom’s burgers on Alondra Blvd. i have not been back to Cali since my college days. I hope this satisfies your inquisition!
@@reggiewright love to email you some pictures I have. Also your show is great.
It really don't matter what level of gangster you are because the police look at everybody the same and giving same football numbers
There are more Busters in Gangs than Gangsters....
funny fact, Suge, 2Pac, Tha Realest and Lil Wayne all strarted climing Mob around the same age - 25 years old lol
I feel that
BUT DOESN'T MEAN THEY'LL WHOOP ASS OR BE A BOSS
Dudes on here are weird. Mob James was a REAL gangster. Suge was an athlete who put gangsters on payroll. Then he started claiming the set. If anyone understands that type of life they would know why Mob James is saying what he said. Stans have no clue how the street works.
None Of Them Dudes Was Stanley Tookie Williams Facts 💯
MOB James, you put on Suge Knight into the MOB; just like Buntry and Trayvone lane put on 2Pac into the MOB. Full stop
Grapes went on sprees robbing everybody from what I heard. 300 sum ninjas all moving together as a mob, ya finished
Suge's defo a gangster a shot caller a boss in my opinion. he's not on the killer level like James but he'd employ someone like James to do it. he hired cops had shooters the man moved like the cartel/Italian mob bosses alot people in the hood criticised him for it but won't say shit about cartel mob bosses moving the same way.
Real talk. Suge was bossed up
Different positions Different levels thats all
I'm a Crip and I have to admit Mod James be saying some real gangsta shit cuzz.
James needs a hug he’s conflicted 😂
There’s a difference from being stand up and suicidal. Being a crash dummy isn’t gangster.
Reg I aint heard you speak on Game much. Whats your opinion of him?
Gang members are some active some not affilates and those from the area...Bangers are Frontline
Suge was the Most real gangsta. Because he was about getting to the money, he wasn't about just doing dumb stuff.
In the building...Salute Bomb first ..
James trying to discredit Suge because he never had to stand out on the block being broke. What he don't say is Suge wasn't no ho azz nicca never. Some people don't think standing on the block and doing drive by is cool. Take your time and hit a real factor and not just constantly putting in work.
AY Reggie can you speak on the CK VELL and DARNELL BRIM situation?
Wasn't nobody trying to put hands/running up on Simon 💯👑🦍
Reggie keeps it real mob James b capping
12:00 Suge to me was the most dangerous kind of individual. Apparently, he came in as a boss. When anyone across the world, that's not a Piru, thinks Piru. Suge Knight comes to mind.
Suge was a mob boss
Basically it's the difference between the incorrigible trouble makers and the settle minded ones that try to stay out of trouble. James just has a problem with Suge. Every gangster, gang banger, gangster etc doesn't have to do drive by's and fights representing the hood. What O.G. was letting James get away with buster week? Can he really justify his actions? Look at the Italian Mafia. The BIGGEST GANGSTERS! Most came from two family homes, go to church religiously, went to college and own businesses. Could you honestly set there and say this is not a gangster because they stuck to the script and legitimized. Man there are people on the internet saying that James was cripin at first. Although I don't believe it, it shows everyone has a start somewhere. Suges parents instilled in the man to go to school and work hard. Can't knock that. And didn't C.J. discredit James on an interview on StreetTV and say that he himself was just guilty by association? So people just have opinions of others. ©2023
Reggie was looking at james like he was ready to shoot that nigga depending on how the quote came out
Bro gotta get some better mics
MOB James don't say shit for no reason.. definition of there levels to it!! Keep schooling em'
In 87 mob James stepped on my shoes in front of mom's burgers, he slapped me and took my money for a new bike ..I started to cry, and he wiped a tear and licked his finger and said "I love the taste of bitch" he rode off on my bike while giving me the finger until he was out of view... I cried for 2 hours in front of mom's burgers
hahaha

Y'all got to understand what he saying gang bangers are the ones out there in the field every day hunting the enemies a gang banger mind set was to knock down the enemies, the other dudes in the hood gets love but it's a different when you at war and you out hunting the enemies that's a nother level of respect in the hood homie
James always got something negative to say about Suge

You got the heart. You were just smarter at the time. Hope your homie doing good
Suge has done a lot of bad ,dumb, stupid crap to people. BUT ! we wouldn't know these rappers without him. My opinion brothers
50 a clown for saying that about Tupac. 50 gets no more money or time of mine. I don't care what he put out
I wonder if Suge in the pen watching all these Death Row stories on youtube, using his contraband cellphone...?

They was right there supporting suge and pac why y’all didn’t say nothing back then ?
Just say Suge had a walk-on role and that's it.
One of the best scenes you two have done lately.
Preach!!!!
Suge was not gangster, not gang member, but he was a boss, and had power. Any nigga knows well that shit is above a gang member/gangster. lol
Hey Reg, is Nikola Jokic a top 10 player of all time? Just curious since you're a sports guy.
Agreed. Id say around 15 now, Better than Durant though, he has never led a team on his own. I think Joker will be top 10, needs another dominant championship run.
You ain't gotta gang bang to be gangsta...and you ain't gangsta cause you bang....the most gangsta you can be is standing as a man on all positivity, but willing to go either way when running across a dummy. It ain't about who's the hardest.its who's the smartest
Not every gangsta is in a gang And not everybody in a gang is a gangsta .
I think both can be true, Suge didn’t gangbang but at the same time he wasn’t afraid to handle his business if he had to.
This fool always find a way to hate on suge
Suge put the MOB on Worldwide.
At this point, james will never give suge props for anything! 😅😅
But he'll give Lil Wayne a pass for claiming his hood through..
I agree, James resentful of suge it looks like to me. Ha
Suge still seemed to be on the front lines with his boys
@@almightytre3730 lol a hood he don't claim anymore? timmy ru and trevon are in charge of that.
@demontemorton6381 base off your logic than he shouldn't have problem with Pac & suge claiming it.
@almightytre3730 ya, they rept it.
By James logic if you move to a hood you can never claim that hood or the click you run with?
