In this clip, Reggie Wright Jr. asked Mob James about his thoughts on award naming controversies related to Dr. Dre, and the fallout of Terry Carter's death. In response to the question about the alleged assault cases against Dr. Dre, Mob James stated that he didn't care about what happens in the industry and believes that people should allow others to move on from their past. The conversation then turned towards Suge Knight's inability to return to Compton after Terry Carter's death. When asked whether Knight should be in prison for the incident, James explained that he wasn't in a position to judge but stated he'd previously commented on what Knight should have done. He concluded his point by saying the situation should've been addressed much earlier.

Dre isn’t the same person he was when the whole D.Barnes incident happened or with Michel’le that he was accused of. No human being is the same they were when they were in there mid 20’s. If you are then there’s a big problem. The male brain doesn’t even fully develop until you are 25-26 years old. It’s a little sooner for females but if you don’t grow up and learn from your mistakes then there’s a major issue. I think that Dre has changed for the better definitely not for the worse like Suge did. Suge went the opposite way of what you are supposed to do. Suge went to college,started Death Row,got extremely rich and then fucked it all up by getting involved in the gang life. Because of that shit Pac was killed,Death Row fell apart,Suge lost his money and now he’s sitting in prison with a 27 year sentence. It’s like WTF??? Kids that’s what you don’t do. Most dudes the grew up in the streets and made it out through music like MC Eiht and DJ Quick never went back and got involved in the streets again.
