Nothing wrong with Ozark Trail gear. I been using it for 30 years, in all weather, all across the country, in various camping disciplines. Hiking, XC Skiing, snowshoeing, kayaking, motorcycling & simple leisure camping. Now my adult children & my grandchildren all buy Ozark Trail & we are all happy campers.
I have an ozark trail tent just like that the thing I do first is set the poles then feed em through the sleeves and clip them and lift the poles up I do use those cheapo stakes I do opposite corners and set the stuff in and your camping
Thanks for the review. I was looking at these for our Scout troop. The part around 5:20 showing the door zipping to the ground was very helpful and convinced me to pass. This tent does not have a 'bathtub' design with heavier material coming up the sides from the bottom. The tent fabric appears to go all the way to the ground. From experience, if you end up in a heavy rain and set up in a low spot where it may puddle, water is definitely getting in. If you are in dry climate its probably fine. For us, hard pass.
For a basic 1 or 2 (very close) people tent that won't be used in more then light rain these things aren't bad. Looks like they made a couple improvements from the previous "2 person dome" of the same dimensions I rocked for a long time, but it's kinda laughable they call it a 3 person now lol.
The "Welcome Mat" is how most use it, but it is intended to fold over and protect the door if you unzip it down...since this is a full top zip, not a D zip like most tents, where the door stores like a curtain. 5lbs but it can pack pretty small as the pole segments are shorter than most. Excellent for motorcycle, paddle and bicycle camping. If you are single manning it, I just leave my sleep bag, mat and warm clothes in the tent. Fold it and roll it to shove on the back of the bike as a bedroll. The bottom is a tarp so it keeps everything dry. 5 minute departure with no packing and stuffing....5 minute dry setup at next campsite.
Great review you did a good job explaining everything especially weight and good advice awesome review thank you for covering this I hope you keep doing reviews your good at them$$$$$
I just purchased the three person dome tent the exact same one and I got the Ozark trail Queen tritech air bed.$51 to go camping you can't beat that thanks for the video bro. 🍻✌️♥️
@@berniemackattack86 you could, but you’ll have to rethink your stakes. Use screw in dog leaders for your stakes and tie the tent down with that. You can pick them up at harbor freight for a few bucks. You could up your investment and buy a ozark trail 10x10 canopy with a connect tent as well.
I just got it today not for camping but I’m homeless an I was just trying to check out tents an came across this one I will be trying it out tomorrow but won’t be homeless for long
You had me at AR15 🤣👍 camping and shooting with friends, ahhh glad to see you generation keeping traditions alive. 🏕 Great vid and answered a lot of questions and yay Bangladesh vs china Go Sabbir 👌 Stay safe and have fun 🤩
@@WintersReviews thanks so much for such a quick reply!! I'm doing a solo trip Algonquin and I think I'll definitely pick one of these up. Thanks again!
I luv ozark tents.. you can get years out of them if you take care of them.. i use them for solo trips mostly. Fine for a weekend, but I do prefer using a tarp underneath it. Also have to do the spray water proofing every once and a while depending on use. Use a Coleman cot, a little fold up table as a night stand, have a place for a fan and a small space heater, and a 10x10 ez up canopy..when I’m in state parks/ or campgrounds with electric and long trips I find them at garage sales really cheap all the time. People buy them and never use them even
I have a better tent and amazing durable tarps but this tent could be okay if it’s protected from the elements/wind. I have this in the Jeep and feel quite good knowing it’s there.
I also camp with my AR. A must have piece of gear. I have the same tent, it’s good for the price, but not good in strong winds. It will collapse. You’re right about three’s a crowd though. Definitely not meant for three. Especially after a can of beanie weenies with sardines. 🤢

Just wondering if the bottom is waterproof or would I need a waterproof mat
Great review. I'm convinced, this is definitely going in my 72 hrs kit. Tfs.

Great review!! I got this yesterday to go camping this weekend!! Can't wait!! I'm a newbie tent camper and just now investing in gear!
Hope you have a great time!
I'm from Bangladesh and was looking for a tent for myself. Had no idea this was made in Bangladesh. Thanks man for pointing that out.

Could you use this at the beach or it won't be stable because of the sand ?

Great review!!! Thank you, for posting..
Does anyone know can I tent be setup on a cement ground without any stakes?
This tent is OG! My new $50 12in queen fit in like a beast, already blew up lmao! Have to stretch it in but yea it is PIMP
Nice review, I just bought one.
Great review. Got one coming tomorrow

Just bought this tent, picking it up tomorrow
How’d it go
I just got it today not for camping but I’m homeless an I was just trying to check out tents an came across this one I will be trying it out tomorrow but won’t be homeless for long
That's what I'm going through, but it's cold here now, I know it's an older video but did you use yours in winter any? Thanks
I just got this havnt tried it yet...it says a queen size air mattress will fit is that true?
Yes!
can one person set it up? Looks like it can be done. Thanks
Yes.

Thank you much!
Does it5 fit back in the bag after it has been put up
Yes! It's actually one of the easiest tents to get back in the bag that I've had! Once you figure out how to fold and roll it, it goes back easy!
@@WintersReviews thanks
So Do you recommend it?
Great video! Would this be an easy tent to set up when solo camping?
Thank you! And yes

perfect for kayak camping on the cheap!
Great review! Greetings from Costa Rica
Thank you!
Idk how the heck you fit 3 people....I cannot lay straight....I'm shorter than 6ft 🙃
However yours is a tad different from mine
It's definitely tight for 3 people. I usually only have 1 or 2.

Mine has worked fine - probably won't withstand really high winds
Does this tent keep you dry in the pouring rain?
Not 100% sure honestly. We rarely ever get rain. I've only experienced light snow and light rain
Yes I used them alot in the pouring rain and with the rain shield provided in the tent package it does work very well at protecting from rain
Good review. For my personal taste, i think the door is a negative. It shouldn't touch the ground. That's asking for it to bring in dirt and get torn.
bought this and happy but i use it only for myself so lots of room
6:37 the bug zoom in and slow pan away!!!
