Addressing multiple genders, the homophone with "by" and "bi", "switching tides" indicating changes and flows between gender preferences, AND having his Flower Boy era sing it??? Masterful.
From an artistic perspective this is probably Tyler's best music video. Absolutely insane creative storytelling, and to top it off its nostalgic as anything by displaying every stage of his career. The fact he sat on this for almost two years is absolutely insane.
I remember first hearing tyler in 2012 from my older brother and from then on ive been a massive fan. Everything hes ever done has been perfect and im not just talking about music. Im talking about his tv show, his brands, and his music. He was the first person that helped me realize it was okay to be the weird kid and that i wasnt alone. He helped me grow and mature as a person through these albums and i honestly cant wait for his next era❤
The fact that Tyler actually takes the time to make music videos, clean up and officially release his unreleased songs is another thing I can respect him for. Most artists unreleased songs are unfinished and unpolished and are usually only found through obscure sources or unofficial remakes, but with Tyler he makes it officially available for his fans.

I love how each persona was in the music vid and how there’s a piece of every era in the song. Wether it’s Sir Baudelaire talking his shit, Igor’s vocals, or goblins rough edgy little verse, it’s all perfect. The little pieces of every past album in here let the song seem like a grand opening to a well deserved finale for Tyler the creator. Also notice the order of which shirtless Tyler kills the others. Igor/flower boy are killed off screen, cherry bomb is seen being rushed for a split second. Then wolf is dragged off and goblin/bastard are then killed off screen as well. Why would he leave sir Baudelaire for last? Probably because sir Baudelaire is the most pretentious and egotistical of the bunch. Tyler is essentially killing his ego last. Once you kill your ego, a new transformation will occur…likely leading us to a new Tyler for the next album. I’m afraid this one might be his last because of it.
Theory: Notice how you see the people getting killed but not Igor? Example: Flower Boy looks to his right before being taken away. Cherry Bomb is being shown before being taken away. Every other persona of his is being shown BEFORE being taken away, but Igor must've seen shirtless Tyler killing the others, so he dissappeared. Kind of a stretch though...
Nice analysis I have a feeling he will now stray away from “Tyler the Creator” and just be “Tyler Okonma” he’s hinted to it and your analysis makes perfect sense
As a Tyler fan since bastard, words can’t explain the way this video makes me feel. I think it’s safe to say it’s his best video yet. He hasn’t stopped progressing as an artist and I’m so proud of this man
one of the best things about tyler is he doesn’t have the same mindset as a lot of other rappers or artists in general i feel like they could maybe come up with a similar idea but something about how he does things he takes it to the next level the highest level and it can confuse people and make them happy or sad and it’s so interesting to listen to and look at i think what he did with this is exactly what takes those ideas to the next level it’s sparks and he runs with it and that’s why i will always love him and his creativity as tyler the creator.❤️
Tyler is actually talented and i love his music because he seems very genuine about what he does and he is worth billions and people in 10 years gonna look at this and start studying
the storytelling... the film direction..... the mannerisms of each era..... as a tyler fan since goblin, this is just, wow. he has truly exceeded any expectations i had for him with this one
I love how he gives the most authentic straightforward apology for those who only see him on surface level as weird or outlandish and then he talks his shit unapologetically about who he is and what he’s done and how he feels good about his development and maturity. And for those who still don’t understand him or disagree with his vision and image “I’m Sorry..” 🤷🏽♂️. It’s beautiful
This has to be Tyler's best music video to date. The way the characters and actors (who have starred in previous phases of Tyler) reflect Tyler's vocal inflections and lyrics, the concept, the costumes, the ending, everything here is incredible.

Fucking hell what an open and honest line, one of the best descriptions of expressing your sexuality I've ever heard. Addressing multiple genders, the homophone with "by" and "bi", "switching tides" indicating changes and flows between gender preferences, AND having his Flower Boy era sing it??? Masterful.
Tyler’s so gay 😂
you really reached with that “homophone”
@@dubiousdub That's not a reach at all. It's like how Frank said "I'm high and I'm bye/bi" off of Oldie.

From an artistic perspective this is probably Tyler's best music video. Absolutely insane creative storytelling, and to top it off its nostalgic as anything by displaying every stage of his career. The fact he sat on this for almost two years is absolutely insane.
major facts
The fact it’s already been 2 years is insane too lol
I don’t think he’s been sitting on this one, it looks recent. He’s quite literally beating his most recent era. Meaning some kind of change is coming.
@@isaiahlujan1350 I was kinda thinking that too, sounds way too good to be a bside, same as Dogtooth
It’s SOOO good
I feel like this just ages like fine wine.. it gets more mysterious as time goes on. I can almost imagine Tyler leaving us hanging on this forever...
Undisputedly the magnum opus of Tyler music videos. Absolutely incredible.

The fact that Tyler actually takes the time to make music videos, clean up and officially release his unreleased songs is another thing I can respect him for. Most artists unreleased songs are unfinished and unpolished and are usually only found through obscure sources or unofficial remakes, but with Tyler he makes it officially available for his fans.
meh, ziploc, his louis vuitton album, and many other songs…
@@samuelepipoli isn’t it because they got leaked though or sample clearances. i don’t think he releases leaked songs and a few of them are just him rapping over beats like CANTYOUSEE

Thank you for everything so far, Tyler.
seriously one of the most creative pieces of art ever made. it's like an autobiography of your youth growing into a beautiful man. every season of you. so glad you love to share...it keeps me motivated. 😊👽💕love u a ton
Interesting analysis
I just got into his music . I don't want him to retire this soon😭😭
I had to watch it twice to notice people were being killed left and right lol

Bruh at the end when he killed Baudelaire I was like oooooh new Tyler character unlocked 😳
What an amazing video
I feel you brotha. It’s been 12 years now
one of the best things about tyler is he doesn’t have the same mindset as a lot of other rappers or artists in general i feel like they could maybe come up with a similar idea but something about how he does things he takes it to the next level the highest level and it can confuse people and make them happy or sad and it’s so interesting to listen to and look at i think what he did with this is exactly what takes those ideas to the next level it’s sparks and he runs with it and that’s why i will always love him and his creativity as tyler the creator.❤️
Man never gave a fuck and never will. That’s why I love Tyler.
I literally shed a tear watching this all come full circle; Tyler’s been a generational artist gone timeless

Lyrics, vid, emotions conveyed and instilled - absolute perfection!
It's so cool he dressed up as himself from each album and killed them off. It's showing us that he's changing as a person. He isn't who he was 14 years ago when he dropped bastard, and he isn't who he was 2 years ago when he dropped CMIYGL. He's telling us that he is who he is right now, and he's sorry if people don't like it but it's who he is. Beautiful.
a masterpiece.
Yes!!
I took it as that some things don't change, because this was made during/before cmiygl so it might be to show that some things don't change, idk tho
lots of ties to the same concepts used in sam is dead, super sick to have that continuing storyline and rly emphasizes that cycle of change and identity
you can see it from two perspectives since even he changed those are still parts of himself, he definitely not the person he was a year ago he will always change because that’s a human thing to do but you can sometimes sneak peek into the past to stay true to yourself today.

I'm always going to apperciate the beauty of this song and videography of this masterpiece
gives me chills every time
Baudelaire delivered that last verse like he knew he was gonna die
But if he did, it would have messed up the flow of the song; a metaphor for how Tyler switches up style with a new album every two years. Also a metaphor for us, how we might react to four straight years of Baudelaire with CMIYGL and The Estate Sale
I felt like badelaire was getting desperate trying to justify his existence as in being Tyler's fame and ego. in the end Tyler didn't need to be famous nor have big ego anymore since he made it, man can retire tomorrow and be set for life if he wanted to.
