There's only one fighter that can hurt Nunes at this moment in time and that's Valentina Shevchenko. Probably the toughest female MMA of all time.

It’s clear Nunes wants no part of Shevchenko. All you have to see is the tactic she chose against Valentina in fight 2 as proof. Nunes is arguably the most attack oriented fighter in female mma history (I mean, she literally chose the slugfest option against Cyborg - and she won), but look at how painfully strategic and passive she was against Val. And she did it for five rounds, meaning it was a deliberate strategy, not something that just came about randomly. Nunes wanted no part of Valentina Shevchenko and won only because of a couple of last minute desperation takedowns that did zero damage, but won Nunes enough brownie points with the judges for the win. The benefit of the doubt all champions are afforded. We need a trilogy to settle this.

@@lindamoore3729 I agree I don't think Val wins even if they were to meet again - not under current UFC rules where counter strikes and defense don't score you points. But keep in mind the 2nd fight only happened because the first time many saw as an inconclusive draw and the 2nd fight many people actually saw Shevchenko as the winner and the judges simply gave the fight to Nunes (for the record, I don't include myself in that group, not because I think Nunes was actually the superior fighter in the Octagon that night, but applying current UFC rules, Nunes did more to win the fight than Val did). Val's naturally 20 pounds lighter than Nunes, so that they're that close is pretty unbelievable.
Valentina didn’t even have to cut weight for this fight. Amanda is much bigger than her and she never looked superior in their fights. If they both had the same size there would be no competition
