We have big Coalfish or Glasán as we call them here in Ireland too. I love them. Biggest I've ever seen was 7 foot long. They taste absolutely delicious. It is my absolute favourite cod-fish. They are a great fighting fish
@@anton2417 Not all record class fish are counted or recorded. But coalfish get huge. The world record on a fishing rod is 24kg. That fish was 5 foot long. But the recognised maximum size is 35kg. I've seen coalfish brought to shore in Ireland clocking 7 feet. You'd be more likely to find them in the 5 foot range nowadays tho
