I worked in this pub back in 1986. I was a recent college graduate from the States. I was enrolled in BUNAC so I had a legal work permit. NHS and all. (BUNAC For every Brit who came to the US legally for summer work, one Yank could work in the UK) Anyway I stumbled upon this Pub by accident during one of my random tube journeys. Liked the looks of the place and immediately asked for work. The staff was Cockney then and the boss lived upstairs with his partner. Those were the days. I really enjoyed my summer as a Barman there. Honored to be a part of the history. DT San Francisco
You're about same age as me. I remember BUNAC, almost went to US on it. I am hoping to visit this place with my old friend who I've known since two years old .
The pub is awesome! The exterior and interior are beautiful! Fantastic location! The noose is interesting! The lunch looked yummy. Thank you for taking us here!! Love from Vermont
I haven’t seen a video from you in ages. This one in particular is such high quality, it’s like watching the telly. You’re right, by American standards customer service seems sub par elsewhere. x
Thank you for sharing the enjoyable and informative video, Also enjoyed walking down the streets and seeing London . I felt like I was there with you and also enjoying your lunch. I hope some day to visit.
I was there about 40 years ago on a visit. Often wondered if it was still around. Used to be a small parking area outside and I remember a very weird looking jeep type car there and the gear stick had a shrunken head on the top.😵 Nice to see the pubis is still going strong. Thanks. 🙂
Best fish and chips in London? At a Greene king pub? Whilst fish looked decent the rest looked pretty average and the peas nuked in the microwave. Nice setting tho.
Did you listen to the video? In case you missed it, it is where they hung people for piracy back in the day and the gallows are still there. Maybe you should watch again 👍

I spent the evening here the night in 1966 we won the World Cup. An awesome experience.
The noose should be in front of the Parliament buildings.
Hi from Australia 🇦🇺 that's amazing for a Pub to be that age ❤
If those walls could talk....love history especially Tudor ❤
Excellent pub. UA-cam and cab driver recommended! Enjoyed my visit with 2 pints and an appetizer. My favorite in London.

he wanted to hang around for a while so he can tell you all about it !
That is where Captain Kidd was hung in 1701.

Uber has boats over there
Why is there music ? It ruins this video.
this video could have been much more concise
It's not that much, must say underwhelmed
