Nice deep green, tufted banquette against the wall. Had a vision of sitting exactly there, adjacent to the window, same quality of light, a heavy snow falling. Think the power here is that **floor, Steve, as well as that sealed storage area below. Imagine all that that's absorbed. Your plates of food looked delicious and hearty. Thank you as always.
This is amazing! First time I have seen the inside of a real old historical English pub!! I would definitely visit here for a meal and English ale. That original flag stone floor!! That in itself is a historical landmark!! Imagine walking where folks waked drunk 500 years ago! The music, the laughter, the fun! It is beautiful inside with the woodwork, the shelves of bottles, the leather seating, and the levels. Great that Paula and Al joined you on their visit. The only thing is, that I dont know how appetizing it would be looking out the window and seeing a gallows. LOL
I would love to come to Prospect of Whitby. I've actually heard about this pub before. I remember the gallows. The small city just east of me is called Whitby 😀
Looks such a nice pub. I miss them. It's amazing how old that floor is and doesn't show any wear though you don't know what it started out as. The gallows are a bit of macabre touch. That food looked incredible, nice big chips. Here am I who had a salad and am lying in bed feeling even more hungry than I was before😢. Those pictures are the cause. I can imagine eating that food. Did you find anything on the beach ? They have people who have gone back to mudlarking along the Thames. That was a very narrow path to the beach.

That food was amazing, but no Lesley didn't find anything down there but had a good look 👍😀
