Thanks for your helpful recipe to get rid of ants much appreciated 🙂
You are welcome!
Powdered sugar works better, it dissolves better. I use 3 parts powdered sugar and 1 part borax. I premix it then put just enough water in to wet it but not make it runny. That way you can just spoon a small clump any where needed.
That's a great suggestion!
Thanks
Some ants like carpenter ants like protein so add peanut butter to the mix if ants are not going for the sugar based solution.
Great idea!
That is a 16-1 ratio of sugar to borax. Personally I go down to a 4-1 ratio.
You don't want to kill them fast. You want to kill them slowly so they have time to share it so that it eventually gets to the queen and the colony collapses.
I put it in a plastic water bottle (poke a few holes) because I have really snoopy cats!
That’s a great idea!
Trying this hope it works!!! So many ants in my kitchen right now it’s scary !! 😭
I pray it works for you as well!
you know I wash my head with borax it is the best so soft an clean mom did it when we were kids it use to say it on the box but I think they took it off I use it all the time
That's awesome!
Thank you and I sure hope this works I’ve tried all the ant baits with same results there was one that raid made that was in a little red tube that actually worked pretty good but have not been able to find in my local stores anymore probably reason they pulled it cause it worked I’ve sprayed outside my house and I still get babe there are ants AGAIN
Hope this works for you as well as it does for us! Ants can be such a pain!
looks like a lid from plastic cool whip or something would work too.......
Definitely! I love repurposing things when I can!
Instead of throwing the Maple Syrup down the drain, You Should have used the Maple Syrup as the sweetener instead of sugar.
there are many uses for old maple syrup.....even our plants like that in their water......
I did not see here throw away maple syrup, I must have missed something.....
