I give the tech in the last clip 10,000 at-a-boys for busting his butt and showing all the senior techs just what he can do.

In civilized contries we have inspections every two years on cars over 6 years old, none of these cars would be on the road.

In civilized countries they leave it up to the citizens. My Cadillac is a 2006 model, no rust to speak of at all. Garage kept. Probably a lot less rust than a typical 5 year old Audi. I don't need no stinkin' inspection. If I were to get it inspected they'd probably complain about the side light amber marker led that is out in the headlight assembly that can't be replaced. So $800 ($350-$450 after market non OEM) to replace a whole assembly to fix a 50 cent led. That led has been burned out for about 10 years.
Some places in America have inspections. They're often corrupt. Such as Chicago. It won't pass without leaving a $50 bill on the seat I'm told. Might be more now. 30 years ago $50 would get a pass.
The cars we're seeing are probably owned by people that have no money and it's their only transportation. America has some dirt poor (white) folks just like everyplace else.

If you live somewhere that salts the roads, maybe it's justified. Otherwise it's just socialism giving a financial free kick to mechanics and body shops. It's extremely rare to hear about accidents due to poor maintenance, poor driving yes, and we do have police issuing repair orders at traffic stops.

Crazy people are abundant they shouldn't be allowed to open the hood. They should be in the passenger seat where there are no controls. Great video I love this place

150ft/lbs? If he was doing it the proper way, he literally wouldn’t be fighting it. One knee on the ground and push down. Also helps if the tires are just kissing the ground.

or, reposition and just pull upward instead. It's how I usually finish tightening my F-150 lug nuts because I have more control (going the easy way first until gravity stops helping)
Mainly for the featherweight guys like myself anyway, and guy in the clip

@@austinh1028 not a bad strategy, but higher risk of injury, much like the kid. I get it, though.
