      @Kellier1916, Sorry I have no experience of that fault. Normally, it’s best to start with a physical check for wiring damage around the module. To blow the fuse there might be sort in the loom somewhere. Then try a code reader and read the error codes. This should give you some clues as to the fault. Do you know where the radiator fan relay is? Both of my fans run constantly when the battery is connected. I had an engine coolant low message which I corrected, but I think it tripped a message to keep fans on or the relay is bad to the fans...

    • @ODRModurol
      @ODRModurol  3 роки тому

      P Gansz, try turning the Air-Con off. The fans will run if the engine is running and the air-con is on. Assume this is to assist with reducing the Air-Con temperature by increasing airflow over the Air-con radiator. Are they running just with the battery connected and the engine off? • @ODRModurol
      @ODRModurol  2 роки тому

      Parker Family, there is no relay for the reverse lights. They are controlled by the 'Security and Locking Control Module' and the signal coming from the 'Automatic Transmission' switches. Check out wiring diagrams 9.3 and 5.3. Probably one of the J Gate switches aren't working. I believe its probably the linear switch not sensing Reverse. Hope that helps, regards Damian

    • @ODRModurol

      JVickers187, accidents happen and it is probably been protected by a fuse. There is a fuse for the head-unit and separate fuse for the amplifier if you are lucky enough to have premium audio. Hope its just the fuse. Thanks for the comment regards Damian.

    question will u hurt the transmission by shifting up and down in the "jgate" (i never down shift to slow down tho but i go up and the use brakes to slow down and come back to 2)

    • @ODRModurol
      @ODRModurol  3 роки тому

      @FederalTracks, I am not a gearbox expert but don't believe you will hurt the transmission by using it as it was designed (ie the manual side of the j-gate). Its the best way to get some decent performance when changing up by holding onto the gears. The only time the VVT units actually get used. Changing down doesn't really help with braking on an auto jusdt got to be careful not to overrev but there are protected rev limits I believe. Only thing to be mindful of it the age and state of the gearbox. Either way you need to use and not wrap it up in cotton wool. Mikeyboy68, ok understood. From what I understand the XKR uses two fuel pumps one for normal load and the other for higher demand. • @ODRModurol

      Matt, might try locating the exterior lights fuse which should be located in the passenger side dashboard end fuse box. Possibly fuse 17 - 15 amps. This is for all the exterior lights and high power sockets. So if you don't have other things not working possibly not a fuse issue. Might be a bad earth on the rear registration light units. Hope you sort out the issue. Thanks for the comment regards Damian

      Alan, don't give up. Here's a link to the Owners Handbook on the Jaguar website. Go to the pages Fuses 215, 222. It shows where and how to get access the rear seat fuse box. Also shows the location of the F19 Active exhaust (10amp red second row up, on in from right had end). Looks easy enough to try. www.jaguar.co.uk/Images/XK_Owners_Handbook_09MY_tcm91-26483_tcm634-546618.pdf Hope that helps, regards Damian. (PS what year of manufacture is your car because this may help identify the correct handbook, there are several on the Jaguar site see here www.jaguar.co.uk/owners/handbooks-guides/xk-library.html)

      Don't think my car has it, found the correct handbook for it and nowhere does it mention an active exhaust fuse on 19, don't get it.

      Alan, there are several fuse19s one in each fuse box. Make sure you are looking at the rear seat compartment fuse box it’s definitely in there. See page 213 2021-MY2012 owners handbook. If you have supercharger it’s definitely got one as standard. Regards Damian.
