That has to be one of the most complete "under hood" MGBs from that era I've seen. Those emissions parts (smog pump, etc.) are not available anywhere. They're likely rusted through, but if not, are very rare finds.
@@darrylyoes414 yeah, pretty much every other post smog MGB I’ve had has had the smog pump removed already. I’ll be taking this one off of it, and it probably is rusted up, but if not, maybe I’ll stick it up for sale for someone that may want one for a restoration. Thanks!
Hi im from UK 🇬🇧
Good to see this MGB being rescued, still lots of them about over here,
They are getting more rare around here than they used to be. We’re hoping to have her running and driving pretty soon!
Just down the road from where I live, there is a classic car dealer and they have a 1970 MGB Roadster for sale @ £12,995 in blue (I don't know what that would be in Dollars)
Awesome find! Get the lads involved too!
Looking forward to the next few videos on this.
Thanks! The boys love working on old cars! We’re hoping to have our next video out on it by Friday or Saturday at the latest.
Another good find, hope to see you get that Tr4 out from the tree, and snag that 240z!
Thanks! Yeah, we are definitely going to attempt to get that TR4a out from around that tree, not sure about the 240 but would really love to get it as well, as well as those MGA’s!
The 240Z is known for rusting in the front frame members.
Yeah, I did not get a chance to check the frame, I will though if I end up trying to get it. It’s definitely a cool car!
Are any of those MGAs for sale?
It's awesome to see your boys involved.
...and daughter. I commented too soon.
@@justinschroder6094 thanks! The boys love working on old cars, and I think my daughter might finally be coming around to it as well. As for the MGA’s, I’m still working on her to try to get them. They are extremely rusty and need a ton of work though.
If you can, please save the MGA fixed-head coupe. They are getting so rare now.
@@ianblakesley3349 definitely going to try! It is in really bad shape, but would make an extremely cool project!
Sorry but you’re wrong about British steel,it’s the climate in England and not the steel!!.just like in America the north and the south.
The only British Steel I know of that’s held up to the test of time is Judas Priest! Lol! Just kidding, I’m absolutely amazed though that this car is in such good shape after sitting in the woods for 48 years. Most of the other MG’s I’ve found that haven’t even sat nearly that long are absolute rust buckets. The minimum amount of rust this one has is absolutely amazing, can’t wait to get it on the road!
I can’t believe you’re moving heavy stuff about with just flip flops on😮 accident waiting to happen
Your tie down method is not very secure. Do some research on securing a car on a trailer. Enjoyed the video as I own a 1974 MGB.
Yeah I forgot my chain I use to secure the back of the vehicle. I normally secure the back with a chain and then pull the winch tight. We had a very short trip on back roads, so I just took it slow and checked it occasionally. I was a heavy equipment operator in the Seabees and hauled heavy equipment on tractor trailers for years. Thanks for the concern though!
