Part 6 - The safety a pet provides...

Part 6 I had to put my pet to sleep and this is my way of grieving the loss of my pet. I thought if I shared my experience with people that it may help others. Sometimes I realize how much I miss her and the safety and security that having a pet gives us.
When heading out into the yard late at night with my pet, I had no problems what so ever but going out there now after my pet dying is very hard. I don't feel as safe or as comfortable. When she would go out with me I knew that if anyone came into the yard she would totally go after them and bark and not let them in our yard.
Its funny the things you start to realize gave you such comfort and now that my dog has died, I am less "brave"
I realize that i have moved from crying all the time to more of a fondness for my girl. I am happy and thankful for what she gave, Im not crying anymore all the time. I must be healing from the loss.
