Great test good results. Performed as designed, can't complain. It's good to have options and tools in the toolbox. Some might choose these for bear, boar defense if they carry either of these calibers. I can see some using the magnum for bow range deer or hog hunting and maybe even the Sig. Good to see you my friend.
Good cop bullet ,I have shot those and recoil seemed really low and there is almost no flash from those in 357 sig, save those Hornady stopped plating those.Good show too.
Good test, AZ! This ammo seems to be like the ammo your grandpa relied on for years. It wasn't fancy, it just worked, every time. Old reliable, as it were. Nothing awesome, nothing spectacular, just worked. Personally, I'll stick with my super duper, ultra modern Lehigh XD ammo but I wouldn't feel undergunned (much) if these were all I could get! Cheers, jc
The heavier Hornady 357 Sig 147gr round gets more velocity than the 135gr so I see no need for the 135gr other than having less recoil. Also no surprise that the 357 Mag is being down loaded by the big companies.
Nice testing I gave you a shoutout in channel shoutout vid. I tested the Magnum I believe vs Underwood 125 gr Gold Dot. Fyi Macpherson said 14" was ideal after that likely doesn't count ie exit on bipeds meanwhile fbi gives most points between 14"-16". I'll happily take a 13" HST w much bigger wound Volume and wound mass due to greater expansion.
@kevinrichardson8859 for the performance of the Gold Dot 125 grain 357 SIG if buying 50 rounds is 40 dollars plus tax and shipping so about 50 dollars for 50 rounds is hard to beat for price vs performance but this is my opinion if your talking 357 SIG ammo I've been getting Federal 115 grain 9mm JHPs +P+ local for 25 dollars plus tax is another fairly effective round the is hard to beat price vs performance in 9mm even in carry 3 - 3.5 barreled carry size handguns it performs much better than decent l think these old school rounds vs new high tech ones are very close unless your buying something like 50 grain Liberty Defense 9mm but these are anything but cost effective but the do kick ass
Glad you're back bro! I have an H&K 357sig and a S&Wmod 60 357mag. I think the biggest difference is rounds, 14 compared to 5, it's a no brainer. Also don't care for Hornady ammo, I carry UW only. Great vid!
2 of the best handgun rounds for stopping 2 legged attackers
.357 showdown!!! Love it!!
@@DeepSouthEdc Thanks bro!! Plenty comin.. I'll have the hst *sig/mag* test up soon too. Was another fun one.
Glad to see you back!
Thank you buddy, good to be back!!
Me too
I'd like to see the same test with HST.
@@vashmatrix5769 That one's comin soon😁
@@AzAirgunner.Awesome
Definitely 2 of my favorite rounds. I usally carry a 357mag snubbie or a Sig 229 in 357sig. Always interesting to watch👍👍
Both did really well. Thanks for the test.
Thanks. Nice comparison test.

defense version usually better than duty...latter more for penetration thru barriers

Hey AZ, good to see you buddy. Love this testing because either one of those rounds is outstanding.
@@c.r.chandler5905 Thank you buddy!! Always appreciate ya taking the time to check em out!!
Y'all . 40 cal hydrashok deep is 16.99 for a box o 20 at smoky mountain knife works !!
Cool test. Thanks!
@@fourthhorseman4531 Thanks buddy, appreciate u checkin it out!!
OH YEAH!
It's a shame the 357 SIG is loaded to +p+ velocity
nice
not bad.
🤷♂️ revolver or auto your choice same 💥destruction.
I wonder how that load would do in a lever gun?
I could be wrong but l think Gold Dot 125 grain 357 SIG would go 1375+ - 1400fps from a 4.5 barrel
You aren't wrong...that's about spot on!!

Weak sauce on the ammo! The underwood you tested 135 grain in tone 10 mm was like 1500 and something if I remember correctly
