Love it. So simple, plain & beautiful! If I May ask will the fondant sag if I leave it out room temp on the cake or do I have to store it in the fridge?
hi Heaven, I never put fondant it the fridge. it makes the fondant wet and sticky. if you leave fondant out at normal room tempt it will never sag it just firms up and once fondant has firmed it stays like that...
hi Marissa thank you very much :) yes i did but like i said in the video your much better off using cotton balls or tissues paper because its MUCH MUCH MUCH easier then pulling out harden fondant...
My pleasure Rohit :) thanks for the awesome comment :D It depends you can knead half fondant and half gum paste together and once you've made the bow place it on the cake exactly where you want it and let it dry, added the gum paste to your fondant will stiffen and strengthen your bow so it won't have that "floppy saggy" look...or you could do like how I do and do it exactly like this video and then where the middle is put some royal icing and glue it were you want it to be. if you have Instagram go on my page and theres a cake I've made putting the bow on the side...you can see the picture...
yes fondant firms up pretty hard and if you want a even firmer fondant then use some tylose powder. it will be impossible for paper wipes to break fondant. just scrunch the paper gently and pull away slowly...you should make a small bow first to practise...that way you will be confident to go bigger...
hi Doris its corn flour. some people use icing sugar but i find that stiffen/hardens the fondant which makes it pretty dry and rough to work with...so i use just regular corn flour..
Thank you, this will make doing rainbow bowties on some cupcakes I'm doing for a class battle much easier.
