- I took a cruise ship excursion in Dunedin, New Zealand called Natures Wonders while cruising in Holland America Line's MS Noordam cruise ship. Join me as I travel the Otago Peninsula to experience fur seals and more.

Hi Tony, Thank you so much for this wonderful tour. I really enjoyed all of this. The baby seals were so cute. It was so interesting to learn that an albatross does not fly; it soars on the wind currents and has a 7 foot wingspan. I do wish we could have seen the penguins, but do realize why they must be protected. The bus driver was very informative and pleasant. This was a great example of how booking a tour through the ship is the best way to avoid being left behind, if there is a delay getting back on time. 👍🙂

This is why it's our favorite thing to do the first time in a port, the drivers teach you so very much and are often quite entertaining as well. Once we get the lessons in, we can decide what we really want to see next time.
Beautiful coastline. It's definitely a wow factor when you see all this. The wildlife was so cool to see. This trip you're on is a must do! Really appreciate you taking the time to share all this with us! Absolutely fantastic.

I live in Port Chalmers and as a local, we know where to find the seals and penguins are for Free, but of course you need your own transportation and time. It was good to see what that tour is like as I’ve often wondered. I was pleased to see so many seal pups and glad you had a good time despite the rain. Cheers

Thank you for doing this whole video. I really enjoyed it. Some parts reminded me of the crazy small bus that I squeezed onto in Roatan 😂. I did quite a bit of excited screaming when I saw the baby seal 🦭

Wow. Love all the green, and beautiful water, and houses on the drive. So clean looking. Lol the bike path $$$. Interesting info from driver. Seriously so amazing . I love listening to the Crocodile Dundee accents of those from that area. It’s funny seeing the door on left side and driver on right. Omg baby seals and their little noise. I am dying this is so beautiful!!! The town buildings are incredible. The courthouse, wow. Train station is cool. ya glad you are on a ship excursion. I would be freaking out if not. You are really embracing the rain, guess no choice, ha. What a fantastic tour, Thank you so much for sharing that entirely. Love it so much. ❤👍

Its a shame the cruise didn't offer the penguin watching tour from the albatross sanctuary. Staying until dusk and seeing hundreds of penguins come ashore and walk right past you was my wife's highlight of our whole NZ holiday. Beautiful place.

Tony that was fantastic! We loved the tour and your filming. I do this kinda thing on my vacations but no one ever watches them in my family. Great job. We’re cruising to AUS NZ to Hawaii in April 2024. Can’t wait!

Great video, beautiful scenery, you were so close to the Royal Albatross visitor center, could've seen the parent albatross on the eggies... the blue penguins are there too... I hope to make it there one day... take care.
