That is the catch-22: development whilst maintaining cultural identity and traditional lifestyle.
Really enjoying the content love watching you in Sonny’s videos and love it that you’re doing your own too!!
Great content, keep going Andrew!!
I like your content it's uniquely "different". I hope more people find you.
Nice video! I’ve never been to the northern mountains part of VN, only one time in Hà Nội.
I really hope your channel grows, you deserve a bigger audience
Well done! Stella episode!.. keep up the great work!
Another excellent journey!
For animal welfare comparison, we should look at the west's treatment of animals in large scale industrial slaughter houses. Not all of them get killed painlessly or quickly. Even before that, see their crowded living conditions living on top of each other caked in excrement. All at scales many orders of magnitude larger than these markets.
Excellent content Andrew! As unsettling as it is to see those birds being killed, it is part of their culture. Personally I don’t like seeing those animals being slaughtered, yet I respect their culture. Thank you for enriching our lives with your videos.
if you eat meat then you should see it respecting the animal is far more important
Great content! Hope your video can be longer like 20 minit
One day. That is the dream.
I agree, 15min at least, cmon, Andrew 😅
Loving your videos Andrew :)
I love smoked food too! Annother greaat video, thanks Andrew!
The Landscape in Vietnam is Beautiful. ❤🎉
Love your videos man, mixing cinematic shots with vlogging, almost like an Anthony Bourdain feel, keep it up!!
Another great one!! I love the comparison to what we in the west are used to versus what real life looks like in these cultures!
Can't wait to visit with my fiancee2wife Charlie ( as I call her) with me now in the Philippines ( I am from USA and served proudly & honorably in both the Navy 1st and then the Army.) I am game to try almost all food at least 1 time when I visit. My love is the seafood though!! Will try all of that!! All be blessed, safe, healthy, happy, aware, smart, prosperous, and great ( compassionate). Yes, si, chai( Thai), dung( Vietnamese), ja, oui, Oo ( tagalog filipino for Yes). Much love to all!! ❤❤❤🎉🎉. Real talk&Nuff Said! Thurl G-( one of my many nicknames) ghost or out!!
P.S. Can't wait to see the haircut in the next video!! Lol.

Sup2.cuzy from Sydney Australia
brilliant i ove birds but there are a lot of of them
Great video 👍
Hi Andrew, I came across your channel a couple of weeks ago. I’m hooked. Love the content, you are definitely a hero eating bugs, I draw the line at prawns.
Loved seeing the market and sort of understand that it’s their culture, but you are welcome to the wildlife.
Rats, bugs, hornets 🤢
There are so many awesome food UA-camrs, I can't believe this page isn't more popular 😮
Great video, a good balance or raw and honest. Really demonstrates the diversity and stark difference to how most in the developed world get their food from sterile supermarkets!
Quê tôi đó
I like that you are coming out with more videos more regularly! Just wish they were longer! I don't mean that in a bad way, I just like the content you create and you are quite the character to watch lol! Keep up the great work and can't wait for more!
I wish the videos could be longer too! Just delivering 10-15 minutes of high-quality content every week is hard enough right now though. One day though, for sure, I'm aim for that 30-minute mark, but man, that's a whole lot more work!
@@Andrew_Fraser damn you make a good point! I'm sure there are many things I wouldn't even think of that make your job way harder than ppl think. I am glad for what you do create tho, your content is cool and I look forward to the next video to come out. I hope you continue what you're doing cuz it is inspiring to ppl who wish they could do what you do!
Really enjoying your content. May I make a suggestion? Your videos are too dark.
Sure, still finding the right colour grade. I hate the started youtuber oversaturated HDR look but this one might be a bit dull.
Dogs are not food..
On what basis?
Thanks for visiting Vietnam! Hope you had a great time here.
Good afternoon Andrew
eat it, man, just eat it.
The Heron? Nah. Not for me.
Hey Andrew, when I have hot🔥 Jerky , I eat just a little piece to clean your palette.
If you are traveling and you have to eat yucky it sure helps!
JO JO IN VT 🇺🇸💞🍁🎃
Thumbs up and subs; cuzz he ate insect for us.
Eating worms, insects 😢 I won't.
People who eat pig, chicken and cow flesh have no right to criticize their eating of cat, dog and rat flesh... If you want to really be logically consistent and not a hypocrite when criticizing them, then you better be Vegan.
Hey Andy, As disturbing as it may be to some people I would like to see a full episode of dog and even cat recipes. Just because they are pets to some they are still potential food. And do they eat a variety of breeds of just harvest one type. Please go deep into the variety of fruits as well. I get it with the wild birds. Who the F#@& gets up and goes to the market for some parakeet meat 🦜. Love the market vids.✝️🙏
I agree with you. People are weird like that. For me any animal is food. If you thinking about surviving. But your right non this topic. I don't know any channel who's ate cat or dog. So I would so lbe down to see a video of people cooking cats and dogs. I do know in Australia they do eat cats since cats has fucked up there eco system.
I am with you two. Differentiation between animals that are pets and those that are foods is really rather hypocritical.
Hahahaha such a big idea and straight to the point comment!

Unless you are popping your cherry the first time in Asia, NOTHING is shocking anymore. Try eating dog in Philippines.😊🇺🇸🍻✌🏻
