    I have tried both the kiwi and VR cover made for fitness. The Kiwi let light in on the sides and the cushion was harder. The VR fitness one had a better fit on my face but let more light in on the nose. The better field of view on the VR cover made a big difference for me enhancing everything! I sent the Kiwi one back.

      Are you talking about the leather ones on the Kiwi one? If so then yes, I did make some mention of it in the video. It is comfortable to wear and stays on your face well. Is there anything in particular you wanted to know about it? I have done previous videos on earlier versions of it where I go into a bit more detail on the foam pads. If that helps check out the link here... ua-cam.com/video/iPvh40OUXoE/v-deo.html

    well personally i just ordered a set BECAUSE of the cloth interface i think it looks super soft and comfy like the one that came on the reverb HP...
    i use mine stricktly for sim racing and i put a fan blowing at me and the headset and with the vents in the thing there is NO sweat involved....for me this is the NON sport interface the cloth one :)

    Hello, I was wondering if the Kiwi interface would solve a problem I'm having where the stock foam interface is too shallow causing the middle front of my nose to hit the plastic inside the headset, would the kiwi one provide more distance or is it the same thickness as stock? If it's the same thickness, I'm thinking of getting the original VRcover instead to solve this problem since it came with a thicker pad or should I just use the kiwi one with a glasses spacer to provide more distance? Thanks.

    I'm a bit late to the party, but I have a question.
    As a younger member of the VR community, my face is still developing.
    Wearing the standard quest facial interface, there is light leakage on the sides, as well as the nose. To counter that, would you recommend the vrcover one, at it is more concave, or the kiwi one?

    • @MyTechGearGaming
      @MyTechGearGaming  Рік тому +2

      A more concave one would be better if you have a smaller, narrower, face. So, yes, I'd say try the vr cover one.

      @@MyTechGearGaming I feel like I'm just casting aside your judgement, but I feel that I may just go with the Kiwi design one.
      After watching your video again, I think that it just might be the best choice for me.
      I find joy in more physically demanding games, so temperature sometimes becomes an issue. With the Kiwi Design facial interface, I get both a pad better for sweating, and better cooling, which both sound like a plus for me.
      I understand that because of the more concave shape, the vrcover one might FIT better, but I'm very used to the slight light leakage of the normal quest one, and the better nose shield will help with my smaller nose, helping for less leakage in that department.
      The decision was always between these two, it was just a matter of researching until I came up with a final solution.
      I thank you for the help and guidance, and I will try to update you later on.
      One last question, though.
      Is there a return policy on it? I'm sure I won't be utilizing the policy, even if the interface doesn't fit me PERFECTLY, I'm just curious in case I feel compelled to return it and try out the Vrcover one. I may even just buy the vrcover one without returning the other one, and see which one I like more.
      I thank you for your time, and I apologize for making you read so much.

    • @MyTechGearGaming
      @MyTechGearGaming  Рік тому

      You can get the kiwi design one with or without the extra cloth face pad. So it's $47 with it or $36 without, and the VR Cover one is $29. I covered the price differences in the video. So people have got plenty of options to pick the one that's right for them. You'll have to let me know your thoughts on the VR Cover one once you've got it and tried it.

    I am new to VR I just pre-ordered the Quest 3 which will be my first headset. I am a bit confused about something. I want to get a better headstrap than what comes with the Quest 3 but not sure which one to purchase. If I get a KIWI headstrap (I assume they will release one for the 3) would that come with a facial interface or do I need to purchase two sepearte products? Also, how soon do you think the third party accessories will arrive in stores? It would be great to get my accessories at the same time I get the Quest 3. So far I haven't seen any official announcements of the third party accessories. OF course Meta just made the announcement today. Really like your videos!!

    • @MyTechGearGaming
      @MyTechGearGaming  8 місяців тому +1

      I'd suggest waiting until you get your quest 3 as you might find that the head strap it comes with is fine for you and you don't need to buy another one. Other companies will be releasing 3rd party head straps for it though and you should start seeing them around the official quest 3 shipping date of 10th Oct. I'll be posting reviews of them as I get them too so keep an eye on this channel! 😉

    • @MyTechGearGaming
      @MyTechGearGaming  2 роки тому +1

      Both the VR Cover and the Kiwi Design one have vents and I haven't noticed any light leakage in either. I have seen it where people don't click the facial interface into the headset properly and then you do get some light leakage. If it's installed properly then I've found them both to be fine.

    • @MyTechGearGaming
      @MyTechGearGaming  2 роки тому

      You do need to make sure that it clicks in properly into the headset. If you can see the white of the headset between the facial interface and the lenses surround, then it hasn't been attached correctly. I covered this briefly in the video. Hope that helps.

    • @apostasiaelegcho5612
      @apostasiaelegcho5612 2 роки тому

      @@MyTechGearGaming It's more than that, though. When you take off the headset, or just lift the headset off, it becomes disengaged enough to crash an application. The plastic isn't long enough to seat as thoroughly as the original. I'm returning mine.

    • @MyTechGearGaming
      @MyTechGearGaming  Рік тому +1

      I don't see how a facial interface coming off can crash an app. Still, you need to be happy with what you buy so I hope you get something that works for you. Maybe the Kiwi Design one might be an alternative option for you?

      @@MyTechGearGaming Try it. Take any face cover off while you're playing an app and see what happens. The oculus quest 2 cannot even properly boot up without the face cover on.
      Sidenote: it was the VR Cover that I used, not the kiwi cover. I posted this by mistake in a video about the kiwi. It was meant for a VR Cover video. I don't know if the kiwi has the same defect that VR Cover does, but there's definitely a defect in how the VR Cover attaches to the quest 2.
      I'll be trying the kiwi, which is what I probably should have purchased the first time since I've been very happy with their headset, so far.

    IMO, the $30 VR Cover Fitness is still the overall king. 🤷‍♂️
    And the $30 Fitness interface + VR Cover's optional $20 "Minimal Foam Replacement Set" (aka $50 total) is STILL the Quest 2's "maximum possible FOV upgrade" king as well, at about ≈100° horizontal (vs ≈90° when totally stock & ≈96° w/ the Fitness interface's stock "Slim" pad, & all the vertical FOV gains are similarly sized jumps as well), which is getting DAMN CLOSE to the 105° horizontal FOV that the Quest 2 actually renders! (Which thus is the HARD limit on potential FOV on Q2.)
