I want a mini to replace my full size. After losing signal my full size ended up in a tree. It took me all day to get it down and had 7 bolt holes from my minicross bow. I used heavy duty fishline tied to the bolt. Normally, I just hit the branch its cought in and shake. The bad thing this time was it was a very branchy tree. It kept getting snagged in the next branch below it every time it fell. I had to use a ladder and 20 foot aluminum pole to finally get it down. The plane is in bad shape. I had it for 4 years. It was my first plane since 1978.
I'm thinking that might be a second plane now that I got a good multi plane radio. (Spektrum - DX8 8-Channel DSMX Transmitter Gen 2) The mini can take a bit of abuse. I trained at an AMA airfield and have been doing well with few mishaps.

Such a great plane I learnt to fly with the full-size I’m heavy into fpv drones now but still love the planes
Thanks for your reply.
very nice. thanks for sharing!
Excellent
John Newcomb thanks john

How does the mini-apprentice handle wind compared to the apprentice?
Not quite as good but still fine
Nice score bro, looking good.
Joe Strickland Sr yeah they are really awesome planes
You guys forgot to hook up the elevator/rudder clevis' for the control arms... Duh!
Also any idea on how far you can fly the plane away from the controller?.
Cheers
Squizzy Gold Dog Taylor generally as far as you can see is ok but 1km should be fine
Hi Guys just wondering what the flight time was with that bigger battery in??
Cheers Guys and keep the video’s coming!.
Squizzy Gold Dog Taylor from memory it was around the 15 min mark
My front wheel doesn't match the rudder the rudder is straight but the front wheel turns left? Anyone able to help?
Nita Johnson there should be a screw holding front wheel on loosen that and adjust position may have to take prop and cowling off
Great video, do you know how much average flying time you get from the battery supplied ?
J anstee95 thanks mate with battery included roughly 10 to 15 mins depending on how much your on power
Which is better the carbon cub s+ or this one.
krishna dev Carbon Cub by a long way
Just wondering in what way theCarbon cub is better?.
Cheers guys
What do you think the largest battery (mah) do you think you could fit in there. 3200mah?
RC reviews & tutorials by Mac 2200 is max
What Graphene battery works in the Mini Apprentice and did you have to alter the center of gravity?
Thanks
James Carter we tried a 2200 3s a we bit heavy tho
How did she fly and what flight time did you get?
James Carter close to 15 mins with a 2200 flies good but feels a bit heavy, have you looked at the carbon cub s+

Does the carbon cub s+ comes with the same transmitter.
krishna dev hi again lol yep it comes with the same radio dxe
Mine crashed today :/
thats no good man, hopefully not too bad
Did you go to an AMA field and get some training?

box says 4 channel???
Mike Farinella yes it’s a 4 channel plane
are the rubber bands on that the same size as the big apprentices
RC reviews & tutorials MA dont think so as the big apprentice is alot bigger in wing span and width
Hey bro! do you prefer this plane for a beginner.
krishna dev it’s good buy the new Carbon cub s+ is better
It's a nice plane. I like a nose wheel but I think I'll get the Carbon Cub s+ in the spring as my second plane.
