there is literally a setting to turn if fully off doh... in audio you get two setting for the narration, one is the amount, on base its at 25%, at 0, no random talk whatsoever

Heya Nema 😄 long time man. Biomutant is super fun. It’s kind of janky but there is a charm to it,…like that ugly looking dog that’s hard to look at but you want to pet it because it’s so sweet
Hey, how are you doing? Sorry this is a late reply, had a tornado and a phone die so I got off track. You're so totally right, the janky can be forgiven because the game is just so much fun
What I don't understand about the need for graphics is that the people who say that these graphics in Biomutant for the Switch are horrible are THE SAME PEOPLE WHO PLAY AND LOVE PS2 CLASSICS (whose graphics are WAY WORSE)! I mean, if those people think that these graphics are so bad, why do they still enjoy PS2 or N64 classics? And then, can't they just "imagine" that this too is a PS2 classic? If you see it like that (if you view the game as a classic from the past while you play it), the veil is suddenly removed from your eyes and you can finally focus on what matters, which is the gameplay.
Seriously, I played and beat The Outer World BEFORE the patch, back when its graphics and performance were "awful", and yet I enjoyed it incredibly much. In my opinion, it's a 5-star game, EVEN WITH THE "BAD" GRAPHICS.
That is so true, and honestly I'm with you on that. I can say when you compare ps4 biomutant to switch biomutant there's definitely a drop off, but like I said for me it wasn't a big deal because it's definitely not unplayable or anything. I still find it odd that this game got review bombed and so many people talked about how weak it is. For me though I really enjoy it and just really had a lot of fun getting lost in the world of biomutant
@@nemA96 The reason it got review-bombed is something I've talked about in the comment sections to other videos. The problem is that Nintendo reviewers ALSO HAVE either a PS5 or a Series X, or both, so they play the same game on the Switch and on either of those consoles, and by doing so, their judgment gets irremediably clouded. Once you've tried a "better" version of the same game, your review for the "worse" version will be tainted by bias. And the problem with that is that if you are a Switch reviewer, you should review games EXCLUSIVELY from the Switch owner's perspective, and NOT from the perspective of a gamer who has every single console and PC at home. Why? Because to people like me, who only own a Switch, those "huge problems" related to graphics and performance don't really matter nearly as much, and in consequence, reviewers are shooing people away from games they would actually ENJOY. This has happened to me A LOT. I end up buying a game despite the horrible reviews, just because I happen to be very attracted to its gameplay or art direction, for example, and it turns out that when I play it myself, I rate it like 4 points above what the reviewers rated it. It's stupid, honestly. People who own a Switch OBVIOUSLY are not crybabies when it comes to graphics and performance! You cannot do a review for a Switch game talking trash about it just because of those aspects.
The outer worlds performance and quality IS awful. Just because you enjoy eating garbage doesn't mean everyone else has a taste for it too. This is not about muh 4k 120fps. This isn't 2010, and we at minimum should be getting at least solid 30fps performance, and even that, it's a dated standard with the tech advancements. This isn't a ps2.
@@thatanonwholurksmoar7386 And you are incredibly dumb then, because many of the people like you, who CLAIM to absolutely need great graphics and framerate to enjoy games, would still gladly play the PS1 and PS2 classics they played as kids, and enjoy them just as much, which is clearly hypocritical. Again, the VAST MAJORITY of the best games in the history of the industry (considered the best even today, in the PS5 era) are "ugly games with ugly graphics", so if you absolutely need to see the atoms in a drop of water in your games, you'll be missing out on the MAJORITY of the most fun games ever. In fact, the Switch, with its "unbearably horrible graphics" has WAY more exclusives than the PS5 (it's literally like 130+ vs 10+), and almost ALL of those exclusives are way more fun than your average PS5 AAA game. That's the reason 99% of the people who release videos on UA-cam saying that "gaming is boring", "games are not the same", "the industry is dying" are precisely PS5/Series X/PC players. So, it's YOUR loss, my friend. You are the one who's missing out on a lot of fun.

I actually kind of like the Nintendo switch look style. The graphics kind of remind me of a super HD 64 or GameCube game of the early 00's. The few games they've released on the bigger consoles I bought specifically for the switch even though I've had in the other
I definitely understand, I have a series x and a ps5. 95% of my gaming is done on the switch lol

I believe the Just Cause team made Biomutant, and i love me some Just Cause titles.
Play those first (skipping the original- 🍅 🍅 boo).
Biomutant looks amazing on PS5, meh on PS4, and blah on Switch.
It’s not a bad game either, but ppl didnt get what they were expecting.
Sadly we may never get a sequel to Brutal Legend just because there was no jump button!
Expectations.
I recently purchased brutal legends at a garage sale, I never actually played. It's funny I only have one memory of the hype of biomutant, it was Conan playing it on the late show 😆, but I do know when it dropped many people were disappointed. It does seem that's also the climate(for good reason, usually) we get hyped then the game is usually lacking or broke. It takes 6 months to a year before we get the product we were expecting if at all.
This team should be hired to make a planet of the apes style game just like this where you can be from the tribe of man or you can be from the tribe of apes who our looking for a MacGuffin and along the way uniting the tribes of their people/ape.
That would be really cool, I also like how they keep working on it. It says alot about a studio who keeps putting the time in.
I originally bought this for PS4 and loved it immensely. Always in a "it's very flawed but boy is it fun!" sort of way. I was originally going to wait until it went down in price before buying it for Switch, but i caved and got it day 1. Now i'm addicted to it all over again!
😆 I'm with you 💯 it's hard to say "oh it's a great game 10/10" on the other hand, I'm really enjoying it, it hit at a good time where I didn't know I needed this in my gaming life

When I got yesterday only one copy at eb games it cost 60 for me In Australia 🇦🇺
Ouch....is that $90 AUS or $60 AUS. Which either way is a bit pricey, although if you got a physical copy that was probably a really good pick up, I haven't seen one in the wild here in the US

It is a great, old school Zelda-like that mixes RPG mechanics with Zelda/Metroid mechanics and classic Supergiant-like narration. The world feels like classic Fallout. The PS4 version is pretty, but has frame issues.
That's really true, especially about the fallout comparison, now that I think about. It's probably one of the best fallout type games on the switch. An you gotta love that crafting
Crafting is insanely detailed in this game. Soooo appreciative about that!!!! Couldn’t care less about graphics despite the price.
I'm with you, I don't really expect it to look impressive on the switch, and I don't mean that in a negative way. I just think we know as switch users -graphics aren't gonna be the best-

Yeah, I'm sure you can find really cheap on the Xbox one. It's definitely alot of fun, yes it's a bit janky but alot of fun 😁

This game is Good! Don't listen to these @ss reviewers youtubers that say this game is bad. I'm really enjoying it even on Switch. And I think it looks cool on Switch.
I'm really glad I bought it despite what I initially heard about it. I feel like this was a game that got popular to bash, or people were just in a place where they were done with open world games. I also agree, I'm not bothered by the graphics, but I know there's some who definitely will.
If you hadn’t mentioned it, I would’ve been non the wiser. That ‘Thomas the tank engine’ narration would really get my back up. Smudgy and pricey game too, perhaps once the price has gone down and there’s nothing else on the horizon.
The narration is my biggest issue, I with they would've just made it subtitles or something. It takes me out of the game. Aside from that, I really like it, even though it is flawed
Meh... I'll never understand people's obsession with graphics juxtaposed with them constantly complaining about how long games take to make and how the industry doesn't wanna take risks or do unique interesting things anymore. Focusing so much on graphics is a big part of WHY those things are the way they are, because those crazy photorealistic graphics take a lot of time, money, and effort to produce; time, money, and effort, that could be spent on making the games more unique and interesting.
Yes! You get it. In one of my videos, I talked about the new prince of Persia being one of the best games I've played in 24. I'm sure dev time was quite a bit shorter than skull and crossbones. They really just made the game accessible, performed great, and had a good story. Graphically, it's not insane, but who cares? I actually had a lot more fun playing POP, and to your point aside from time to make it, I'm sure it was a lot cheaper for them to make.

Yeah, I think he'd like it alot. There's nothing to gratuitous. BTW you're child has an awesome taste in games. Fenyx immortal rising is so slept on.
