@@jayo3074 speaking as a civil engineering student, YES IT DOES TAKE THAT LONG. 10000 square kilometres is a lot of land to sand fill, talkless of the amount of sand needed account for the depth of the ocean floor. Utilities, and city infrastructure also needs to be built. To make it even easier for you to understand, London’s newest railway line the Elizabeth line took 13 years to build from start to finish. Eko atlantic is significantly larger in size. Secondly, South energyx (the company responsible for providing the land) is only responsible for the city infrastructure, not the buildings. That is up to developers for them to buy land and build. I hope you are aware of the numerous construction projects already taking place there if not LOOK IT UP. Buildings alone (especially skyscrapers) can take anywhere from 2-10 years to build, especially if you want them to reach international standards. So to conclude, 14 years of building, a lot has happened. 2040 will be the time where eko atlantic starts to reach its full potential with current projects completed and a lot more arising. Construction ALWAYS TAKES TIME, or else you sacrifice on quality and increase prices.
@@jayo3074EAC is not a government estate like the ones developed in Dubai. It is a normal developing area that will grow naturally. All the landed properties there are already acquired and the landlords will build when they are ready.
Keep it Up mann the Video title got me thinking so i watch the whole video😂

Eko Atlantic have been there since 2009 or 2010 but it still 80% Empty
Do you realise how long infrastructure takes to happen?
@@IOdele It does not take almost 15 years to develop a project like this.
