"The Weight" is an original song by the Canadian-American group the "Band" that was released in 1968. This is a great rendition of the song & great collaboration by artists from around the world. Proves that Music is a universal language.
The last singers, Sherieta Roslyn are singing in front of the house that Bob Marley grew up in. This has always been one of my favorite songs. Wasn't this whole thing amazing! Gives you hope for the future!
more playing for change please! when the levee breaks, all along the watchtower, redemption song, or even their latest waiting on the world to change! you can’t go wrong with anything you pick 💕

Larkin Poe (the two young women who came in on harmony with Markus King) are stellar in their own right. I first encountered them when they opened for Elvis Costello and haven't been disappointed with anything they have put out since.
One of my favorites from Playing For Change is one of their earlier ones - Stand By Me. Definitely worth a listen, as is Gimme Shelter and, so apropos for today, War/No More trouble.
I love Playing for Change❤!! Please add their production of “Peace Train” featuring Jusef (Cat Stevens) to your list of videos to react to!! The instrument is a sitar- one of the most difficult to master in the world, they say. And the one before that, I believe is called an Oud- a type of lute that is relatively rare
Thanks, Nick!.. PFC is an awesome organization... hope you listen/react to more and promote them... p.s. do you know that Lukas Nelson is Willie's kid?
Nick, how about Ringo's drumming? He's 83 and still got it! Rest In Peace Robbie. This is a great way to raise world consciousness about how to live together. The man in India is playing a sitar, George Harrison's favorite instrument.
The two ladies from Jamaica are standing in front of the house where Bob Marley was born.
Playing for change has raised many millions and started schools all over the world in deprived communities!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lukas Nelson's dad happens to be Willie Nelson. That apple didn't fall far from the tree.
Hey dude ...my goosebumps have goosebumps ! RIP Mr Robbie Robertson ...you are immortal !
Don't know why but that makes me a bit emotional it is so wonderful.

This was glorious
This is wonderful!
Blimey he is 83;years of age, where does he get his energy from?😅
See "Govt. Mule" to see more of Mr. Marcus. He is an absolutely insane guitarist, as well as vocalist.
And John Cruz is one of the biggest artist in Hawaii for very good reason. Yeah, his voice is gold.
That was a good one and cool how they did it 😊
Fantastic!
For any reactors out there Playing for Change has enough music out there to keep you going for awhile not just this song
Because you SIT ARkwardly, it's called a sitar...
