Michael C Well, I don’t agree with you about government workers in general (many of them are indifferent, but not dangerous like bad cops), but I absolutely agree with you regarding law enforcement. For a few years now, I’ve been saying that we need to “reboot” law enforcement in USA, with a strict prohibition on any existing LEOs from participating in the new police in any way. Civilians and ex-military only. We deserve to be policed the way we the citizens consider to be reasonable. Sadly, in recent decades, the police have become totally divorced from what civilians consider reasonable.
I would bet my beating heart this happens every single day for politicians police officers lawyers and judges, ill say it again EVERY SINGLE EFFING DAY
This is a great investigation very entertaining and satisfying knowing that somebody is keeping up with our government officials and our police officers to make sure that they follow the laws that they expect us to
It's less about making sure they follow the laws, n more to do with KUST EXPOSING the violations. The system is too great n corrupted to actually change... these corrupted get replaced w more corruption It's sad... n WE the ppl continue to PAY
The justice system won't let us police because then we'll go higher up the ladder. This went from one cop, to a whole department, to the State Police Commission, to the Govenor....now imagine this is every cop, Dept, commission, and Govenor in every state. That's where we are right now
I realize I am dropping this on a very old video but it perfectly captures what our media should be like. I assume this is a local org? We truly need to stop supporting all nation news and especially cable news and focus all of our support on outlets like this. Truth, facts, holding the powerful to account. This is what this nation needs so badly.
so instead of going home and setting down the law to his sloppy drunk reckless driving daughter, he attempts to malign and injure the trooper who got her off the road. good daddy.
Great job on investigating. Superb work! My two cents, NO public official should EVER be allowed to take a government vehicle home. EVER! I wished i had the stats on how much tax payers are paying for gasoline for the public officials to do personal errands in government vehicles. Some cops are commiting crimes in off duty government vehicles.
Great work from FOX 8. It says a lot when a TV company can do a year long investigation into police corruption and expose the guilty while internal affairs who`s job it is, sit and do absolutely nothing.
Wow,, the power of the camera, press, and most of all HONEST PROFESSIONAL, AND FEARLESS REPORTERS, If this reporter was a police officer, for the very first time I would say I feel safe and proud of law enforcement, BUT unfortunately he is not, and I can not. Well it sucks to be me.
the local fox news networks are independent of the cable news superstation what happened in 1998 was fox bought a bunch of CBS stations in cities around the country . It kept those reporters on so local Fox Stations generally are pretty good
Yeah but of course Fox News would find the one Black guy that's corrupt! Their racist asses been doing shit like this since this country's inception tho!
I love how they felt the need to hire a Tulane law professor for the entire series to help break down these complex legal issues for us regular folk without years of fancy book learnin’
How can you resign for corruption and criminal activity!? How can you resign from facing your charges!? What's really criminal is that they collaborate for no criminal charges!
You guys did a good job on your investigation I hope that all the people that you caught violating the law are arrested and they lost everything that they own and served hard times not this 3 months 18 months in jail that's it I'm talking 20 years I hope they are in jail to this day thanks to your team
Outstanding investigation! You have produced a true work of art. You need to take this work to Hollywood and give all of these uniformed thugs the notoriety that they all deserve right up to the slimy Governor as he doesn't have the time to be bothered over this. Let me throw out a nice title, "BLAZE2: The Millennial Generation." *WVUE, don't fail us now!* Get all of these thugs on the silver screen so this story lives on until all of these thug pass away. These guys make the Long family look like angles. I would not even feed my gators with this nasty tainted meat. The movie money made from the film should go to charging all of these thugs as the criminals they are and before throwing them in prison they should forfeit every financial account they hold and liquidate every dime of their pension. Typical Louisiana politics. We hang suites on street thugs, get them nice SUVs to drive around in (let them sit in their driveways at home) and they rob the public blind and then turn around and illegally selectively enforce laws on anyone that is not a personal friend or family member. Yeah, great job thugs! You can suck my crawfish head. Resign my ass. Send that lying thug to prison! Oh, but first tase each of them until they drop to the floor, then tase them 17 more times just to show them how it feels when they did it to others.
I had a senior chief in the Navy do the same thing. To me . He would not hold his friends and family accountable. For any thing. So what I did is retired because I couldn't server with people like this. These people have no honor.
Why they never get the punishment they deserve?? Anyone of us endup in jail with no way out, this MFRs get one hundred of the punishment, and they come back to their positions clean slate!!! WTF...
Absolutely superb investigative reporting. Just imagine the nationwide scope of this problem... I believe it stems from the attitude rife within the law enforcement community that those involved in law enforcement are, themselves, exempt from compliance with the statutes they enforce upon others. Handheld cellphone use by officers while operating their vehicles is a common sight. I followed an officer at least 10 minutes through stop and go city traffic and observed him using his computer to visit entertainment sites, watch news, etc., while operating his cruiser. What is sad is that serious issues of fraud and abuse of power, not really that invisible to anyone working closely with the perpetrators, only seem to be “discovered” by governmental officials after some (often) hazardous investigative reporting has brought the abuses out into public awareness.
Since the airing of this program and investigation. What has become of the troopers and all involved. And was restitution repaid of those thousands of dollars paid to the fraudsters. Would love to knows the answer.
They got too comfortable in their privilege and didn't think the public would know (or care). Glad they were exposed. Hope they are embarrassed and full of shame.
The fact that people feel so save to write down these things is proof it is endemic. This should not have taken an investigation by journalists: their peers should have brought this to light. The fact nobody did tells you they all have each others back.
Years ago I rode with a NM state trooper in his private vehicle. He ran stop signs, sped constantly and even ran stop lights. I asked if he was worried about city police or sheriffs but he said not to worry they all knew him. I also helped a state trooper tow his car to the mechanic and he was breaking the speed limit the whole time and got made at me (in the tow vehicle) for braking.

Now these are real Journalists..... I'm proud of these professionals... Keep it up!
I appreciate the tenacity that this reporter and his station have to expose the blatant corruption in one of many agencies in that state.
THIS is real journalism, like the great papers used to do.
Thank You!
This happens more then anyone would like to believe. In every state!

Sates, countries, governments, ect, 99% of people are corrupt.
To the reporters and staff that did all this, FUCKING GOOD JOB!
This reporter is no nonsense. Great investigative reporting.
The governor should have been charged also
They all need to be in JAIL for at least 20 years!
Lol this commisiner is a real pig.
Thank You John
You all did a great job in your year long stake outs and investigating all the parties involved!
the governor should be forced to resign and the charged for his complicity in this
You say ‘professional courtesy’, I say ‘extortion, malfeasance’.
I would bet my beating heart this happens every single day for politicians police officers lawyers and judges, ill say it again EVERY SINGLE EFFING DAY
That's why people are calling for reform

so instead of going home and setting down the law to his sloppy drunk reckless driving daughter, he attempts to malign and injure the trooper who got her off the road. good daddy.

They spend our tax money this way ALL DAY LONG!
Can't say I'm a fan of Fox News, but this is a job well done. Good on you Fox News for investigating and running this story.
the local fox news networks are independent of the cable news superstation what happened in 1998 was fox bought a bunch of CBS stations in cities around the country . It kept those reporters on so local Fox Stations generally are pretty good
You can actually find some really good liberal opinion articles on fox News
Yeah but of course Fox News would find the one Black guy that's corrupt! Their racist asses been doing shit like this since this country's inception tho!

Great journalism!
You are the true hero!!!
The members of the same gang will protect themselves. They call it professional courtesy. I call it corruption at its highest level
How can you resign for corruption and criminal activity!? How can you resign from facing your charges!? What's really criminal is that they collaborate for no criminal charges!
Professional courtesy would be to treat everyone equally under the one same law. If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.
You guys did a good job on your investigation I hope that all the people that you caught violating the law are arrested and they lost everything that they own and served hard times not this 3 months 18 months in jail that's it I'm talking 20 years I hope they are in jail to this day thanks to your team

This needs so many more views

Huey would be proud, some things never change.

Awesome report.

Congratulations Louisiana! You edged out Massachusetts for most corrupt state!
Well done
I had a senior chief in the Navy do the same thing. To me . He would not hold his friends and family accountable. For any thing. So what I did is retired because I couldn't server with people like this. These people have no honor.
Bro, GREAT WORK!! THAT'S WHAT WE WANT TO FIND OUT ABOUT OUR FINEST QUALITY OF SERVICE FROM THIS THUGGS!!! CRIMINALS ON DIFFERENT FRONTS..
Why they never get the punishment they deserve?? Anyone of us endup in jail with no way out, this MFRs get one hundred of the punishment, and they come back to their positions clean slate!!! WTF...
The commissioners attitude towards that reporter was basically "fuck you".
Sounds like they need a new governor too..
The balls you have to have to write it down, where you can't deny it later...like wow. Dude just wrote it down like it was okay.
Absolutely superb investigative reporting.

We the people are going to react accordingly
great job people
Keep on Backing the Blue!!!!
I would like to work for you.
To help stop the corruption
They make. Enough money to pay them snall fines
Perfect example of corruption in this country. I am Former US Army and it really makes me wonder what I was fighting for. It is sad.
Shows the level of corruption. Go's to the top
How can the police police themselves when they are this openly corrupt?
Corruption trickles down.
SO MANY of these troopers AND public officials should be fired & charged!!!
Since the airing of this program and investigation. What has become of the troopers and all involved. And was restitution repaid of those thousands of dollars paid to the fraudsters. Would love to knows the answer.
Well sovereign citizens and their families don’t get tickets is that understood? We have our own laws !
This happens everywhere. Sickens me
Makes me wonder how many innocent citizens these criminals have harmed.
I’m High, A,F ! Legal 420 now! 🇺🇸
Corrupt cowards.
This journalist has some balls😀
They got too comfortable in their privilege and didn't think the public would know (or care). Glad they were exposed. Hope they are embarrassed and full of shame.
Great investingating
Do these crooks get to keep their pensions?
Poor tax payers

Governor and the commissioner should both be removed from their position
Sounds like what the police do every day. Now he’s feeling the heat
OK what did I miss. How did this video jump from Braxton resigning to a "side trip" connected to Edmunson. What side trip?
