You have no idea how useful & entertaining your videos have been over the years & this latest one with EVA & Hua Hin is just the icing on the cake. We leave October 25th from Parksville to BKK & part of this trip will be around Hua Hin & Bansaray. Retirement to Thailand is about 1 year away & if you are available I'll buy lunch & a beer or 3. Cheers, Glen
im currently in indonesia and cant wait to go back to thailand..indo is cool but thailand is the shiznit especially hua hin and cha am. so peaceful and cheap to live and legalization !!! last several times i was in thailand i stayed 2-3 months this time im staying 6 months with a visa run in the middle. most i can stay for now but i just had my 49th bday and next bday i can get my retirement visa in thailand with 25k usd in a thai bank...yeeeee haw baby cant wait...i love thailand so much. also, i watch your vids a lot to learn more about thailand. thanks for the info bro !
great vids...back in 1977 i got a train from penang to bangkok...i fell asleep, and on waking, the train had stopped in hua hin..so i got off to take a look...it was a lot different then ..loved it though...would go back but i am in my 70s now...health insurance is prohibitive...but i am there in spirit.
I've wondered how did it work back before when you traveled. You used physical maps that I understand, but what about money? Did you take a lot of your currency with you and then exchanged it when you arrived? And could you call home back then? What did you do if you lost a friend? How do you even find someone without cellphones 😅
I'm in my late 30's, I've stopped drinking a lot, been meditating and doing gratitude journals, mindfulness exercises, stepped back from overworking all to address the stress component. I make 95% of all my meals from scratch, sleep more regularly, and am more frugal. I do this because I love to splurge on travel and I want to be in good health well into my 80's, and if I have to spend a lot on insurance then, I'll hopefully have the savings.
Your ability to seamlessly utilize the public transit around Thailand is superb! I don't have nearly the confidence or knowledge to do all that, but hopefully I can learn over time
Hi STL, I live in the West End, (the best end😊). Have followed you thru Thailand and now the home town. Love your Vancouver vids! Will be in HuaHin/Cham this winter. Thanks for all you do, yoi are appreciated😊
Hua Hin !!! So glad you're back. Forgive me, I'll admit that I did not watch your Canada videos because I don't expect to visit ever. Too cold and too expensive for my taste.
Vancouver is one of the most gorgeous cities I've ever seen, and the air there is some of the freshest air I've breathed anywhere on the planet, even at the airport the air doesn't smell like jet fuel, it smells fresh and clean. If you don't like cold, summer or early fall is the best time to visit. You are very correct that it has become so expensive there over the last 10-12 years, much moreso than it was in the late 90s or early 2000s.
Hua Hin 🎉. An amazing travel video - well done! Thank you for taking us along. Looking forward to your next video after you get settled back into your favorite place.
Hua Hin! Next time take that rice home and put in the fridge overnight. Cooling rice for 12 hours after cooking creates 10x more resistant starch and that way you won't get all that sugar in your blood stream. Google resistant starch rice for more info. Works with potatoes too.
So Glad as a Washington grown old gal it's a great time to leave for the warmer weather & back to "Thailand". That would be my choice too.Loved your "Thai" Vids Long Time.
Hua Hin… I fell In Love with Thailand back in 2019 had to go twice that year.. Haven’t been back since the pandemic.. But My plan is to retire there I got another 10 years, but now is the time to lay down the groundwork.. the next 10 years of traveling to Thailand I’ll know for sure where I want to be. Your channel has really helped me quite a bit… Thank You..
Yvr is so easy. Try the 15 hours from Toronto to Incheon and then another 5 to Chiang Mai. Always crushes me. Lovely to see hua hin old station made Instagrammable. Welcome home. 😊
It must be so incredibly expensive traveling back and forth, too, not to mention that exhausting 15 hours in a pressurized plane. I've done 14 hour flights, non-stops with roundtrips from LAX to CDG, SFO to TPE, LAX to SYD, and MEL to LAX, but something about YYZ to ICN sounds exhausting. Perhaps it's that you still have an extra 5 hour flight to Chiang Mai. Now that I think about it, I guess I'd forgotten that I've also done the roundtrip 14+hours for LAX-MEL plus the additional 5+-6+ hours to DPS going to Bali. lol My subconscious brain sure remembered it, though, when I read your comment.
I am a fellow Vancouver person living in Medellin Colombia it’s amazing how your views go up as you get back to Thailand . Vancouver is beautiful don’t get me wrong but too costly. Enjoy your time back in the land of smiles ;)
My husband and myself have been re- watching your Hua Hin- Cha-Am series! We will be heading over there in February and cannot wait 😊 We’re so happy to see you back in Thailand where you belong 😉 Thanks so much for posting this awesome video 🙏🏼
Loving all the content especially at the end…so magical and beautiful and happy you’re in Thailand again. Love Canada but I really can’t wait to slow travel Thailand and all the surrounding islands, hopefully soon.
