Thanks a bunch Tammy! Its the journey not the destination right? haha. appreciate the words of encouragement and yes Lisa's AJ was a beast! will have to catch up with Julz and film you leaning into some giants 😊
Good video mate. Should try ventilating the big oversized cod just behind the pectoral fin using their own weight to deflate with some massage. We have successfully released a heap using this method. Once again great video mate 👍
Could you not keep the cod? It would have been buggered either way and poking holes in it any which way probably wouldn’t do it any favours. We need to have release weights in WA, maybe you should look into them if you haven’t already. Nice mixed bag of fish, would have been a good feed.
Great fishin johnny!!! Hows the size of the cod 😂😂 Samson fish are endemic to WA so if ya get a seriola species on the east coast its either a amber or yellowtail 👍🏽👍🏽 Lovin the fishin bud
well done, a great success with the cod. had him back into the water nice and safe. great job
Thanks Calvin. Yes we do our best to look after the fish! Was a beast 😀

Maximum size of the cod in Qld is 120cm. We released it and made our best attempt to revive it.
just started watching your channel Johnny, great fishing, what boat ramp did you launch from?
Thanks David, we launched out of Turkey Beach.
So am I correct in assuming that you head out to the 60m - 70m depth mark and then you start to sound around for rocks etc.
Spot on mate, the best depth is the 55-70m depth
