Just stumbled across your channel and a recipe and subscribed! I live in Houston now but grew up in Singapore and was looking for a dish similar to this. I think I will give this ago.😊

Soup turned very sour from the pickled mustard. Can't say I'm a big fan

Hi! Sorry to hear that it didn’t turn out as you’d like. The pickled mustard greens can vary in sourness from brand to brand, so you can give it a taste before you add it in and adjust to preference. Here are some other ways to lower the sour flavour:
      - Use less pickled mustard greens.
      - When rinsing the mustard greens, squeeze out as much liquid as you can. Repeat the rinsing if need be.
      - Add more water, then season to taste.
      - Add sugar to taste.
      I hope that helps!

Thanks for the reply @@WokandKin , we transformed the dish into curry to "save it". But if I ever try again, I'll certainly use your recommendations :)
And you get bonus points for introducing me to taro, fried like that, they were better than potatoes haha.

@@hedfe Oh wow, so good that you were able to make it into a dish you could still enjoy! I’m curious as to how you turned it into a curry. I love curries!
Haha, yes, taro is so fragrant! I love it in dishes, especially spring rolls 🤩
