A quick summary of what Brazilian newspapers wrote the day after the historical Brazil 1 - 7 Germany defeat in the 2014 World Cup semi-final. Newspapers include Globo, Extra, O Dia etc.
As you can see, I had a lot of fun doing the video but I want to be clear that Brazil prepared an amazing World Cup and it was a privilege and a great fun to be there!

You missed a nice little detail: the newspaper that had "No cover today" had a "disclaimer" at the bottom that said "...while you read it, Germany scored another goal"

I was in heaven as i watched it on television. For sure i'm german. But now after i have rewatched what it has meant to this country, to be humiliated in their own backyard i felt sorry for all of the supporters of brazil. I know that Brazil is a proud nation and that they don't need my "sorry" but i think it's important. I think our national team should have just scored 3 goals to be honest. I'd remember myself watching and loosing the semifinal 2006 against italy and it was horrible. I really really hope that the brazilian nationalteam rises up for the next world cup. I'd loved to watch Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos etc. and i hope that they get back to old strenght! Forca Brazil!! greetings from germany

Man every so often I come here, to gain my humor back. Sometimes I feel like I am not good enough for anything not even humor, but when I see how Brazilians always keep their humor despite everything it inspires me to keep it up and not give up on myself.
a true fan always supports his team. doenst matter if they win 5:0 or lose 0:10. sooner or later every team will lose. Makes no sense to me to say "i will not support brazil any longer" if u say so ur not a true fan at all.

As a Brazilian, only 12 years after 2002, seeing our team loosing like this, was terrible. First goal was okay, second, its all over, third, oh my god, what happened, fourth, i turned off my tv, went to my bedroom and cried, cried like never before, only 20 minutes or so of game and loosing like this is a shame, if only the win by 3 but NO, it was by 7. All i think now is just focus on the 2018's and getting back back to our national league and watching my team hopefully going to the first division :D

I watched the match on puplic viewing and it was... arkward. Of cause we wanted to see our team winning. But not like that. Until 2 - 3 Goals we where celebrating, but then it got more and more in a "holy sh..., stop that!" like mood...
When Oscar scored a lot of people here applaused. Was like a release.
You can rise again. A WC would be boring without Brazil:)

"Não vai ter capa" means "there will be no cover" as in paper front cover, not "there will be no cup".
0:44 "Pena" on this context means "Pity" and 7:05 the newspaper said "Go to Hell" because Felipão said months before "who don't like how we play just go to hell". So the "you go to hell" is a response. XDD
Just something I would like to mention: The protests' slogan was "Não vao ter copa" Copa = World Cup. The newspaper was saying "Não vai ter cApa" Capa = Cover. As you could see, there was almost nothing written in the cover besides the saying.

I agree with you, picking one person to blame alone and to make this person a scapegoat can be very harsh and unjust in some cases, not to say that you know there haven't been big failures but I think no matter what kind of failure you have made in life nothing should ruin you and your life so that you are a scape goat til the day you die, it is just very sad.
Well, one of the comments about the press is not accurata at all, yet is totally wrong. The word "CAPA" means "COVER" in some situation means "DUVET", so, the phrase in the second newspaper that says "NÃO VAI TER CAPA" it means literally "THERE'S NO COVER" but the meaning is: "The shame is so big that you cannot hide from the consequences...no cover could hide Brazil from its shame"...that's is the meaning. CUP is written COPA, not CAPA...and it continues...by the time germany is s coring another goal...

MsJoselix I am not from Brazil, but I am big Brazil fan since 1982. Congrats on the win and you have no reason to be sorry, your team did great, win the game and it's not their fault if their opponent was unprepared and cracked under pressure. Big respect to Germany for showing great sportsmanship and playing hard till the end.
Don't be sorry. Germany did great. And we (Brazilians) supported u guys in the final (come on, we can't support Argentina haha).

Oh, come on! Why the hell would someone blame the PRESIDENT for the defeat?! The blame lies with the team coach for failing to either train the players properly or for poor strategy or failing to get the right players. True, one or two players were ejected from the game before this but I doubt their presence would have had a big impact and even some Brazilians believe this considering their defense was just appalling.
