Hoarders ❤️ All I want for Christmas is a Clean Kitchen | Disaster Cleaning Motivation

- So we sort of let this kitchen go...like really badly!! But that’s okay because we are getting back in this kitchen and making it clean for Christmas!!
#Cleanwithme #Kitchen #Declutter
As far as dishes, I would do a purge of the majority of plastic cups. If your kids are at home during the day, tell them they can only have one cup for the day. Pick a place in the kitchen where they can keep it. This eliminates getting a new cup everytime they drink. I agree with the others, less dishes is probably best. Believe me 1/2 of the stuff people have in the kitchen is not even used. You did a great job cleaning!
i used to have a purge bin in the kitchen for a while. every time i came across an item i hadn't used for a while i took a moment to reflect on keeping it. If i decided against it, i would put it in the purge bin until that filled up and i moved the bin and its content out of the house.
I agree less is better,especially with cups🎄
We always did this in my family and it worked great! With the plastic cups you could even write the kids names on them so they don’t mix them up.
we have a water bottle for every family member and that's what we drink from every day. we only use cups if we are drinking something other than water which is rare so it works amazingly!
@@kaseyjondahl7979 Great idea!
Our kid rule is: rinse and put your dishes in the dishwasher to help Mom out. At age 6, all of them were able to help with this. It's a life skill your boys can do! Kitchens get messy and some days we all are just busy. That floor is beautiful!
We have four boys and when they were about 10 ish I also taught mine how to do their own laundry. When my oldest two went to college they had roommates who had never done their own laundry! It's not cruel to teach your kids life lessons that they will need when they leave home
:)
Get rid of all those junky kids cups girl! If your kids only have access to two cups/water bottles guess how many can get dirty at one time? Think about it!
I was going to comment the same thing, except try 1 cup for each family member. Find one that is good for cold or hot, make sure you can travel with it, and it’s dish washer safe. Try using this method for one month and see if you don’t have way fewer dishes to wash. You don’t have to rid of the other cups, but put them away so you can’t reach for a clean one. Just quickly wash your cup each evening and it will be ready the next day
I agree
Girl you have it hard working a full-time job, being a full-time mother of two and also being a full-time housewife. No wonder, out of time you tryed to compensate by buying things and getting all money could buy. You should be extremely Proud of trying so hard. You have accomplished so very much. You are always so very patient with you children.
Maybe invest in a mircowave cover to help keep the microwave clean when heating food.
Kitchen looks great! 😉
Lemon juice added into the cup of water used in microwave deodorizes and helps clean it out. Smells good as you clean.
That's EXACTLY what I do. Love the fresh smell
Skórka z pomarańczy lub mandarynki dodana do wody jest jeszcze lepsza
I think your kids are way too big for this kind of cups and plates. Just let them use your regular ones and you'll be amazed how much easier it will become 😜
i know it wasn’t your intention, but lots of older people need split plates. my BIL is 32 and eats with a split plate because his food touching makes him squirm. no his plates aren’t cartoons, but still. i also ate with cartoon split plates well into my teens. some people need them and we shouldn’t assume that her boys aren’t the same
I'm sorry, I just wanted to help. I didn't think this might be a issue.
@@maranta21 you’re really fine. you’re not the only person saying it. it def never came off like you were being rude! i just wanted to tell you that other perspectives might be looked at
Your commentary just cracks me up. Your personality is awesome. I know you’re getting lots of dish feedback. The best thing we ever did was to get rid of all of our dishes and buy two packs of a pretty Corelle pattern. Dishes are thin but very sturdy. Fits easily into the dishwasher. We still have plastic kid cups but my kids get a new one each day and leave it at their place at the table for use throughout the day. They can rinse between use if they change the kind of drink. At the end of the night they put it in the dishwasher. Helps a lot. Keep up the great work!! Thank you for adding your sunny personality to my day!
I just want to say thank you so much for putting out these videos and motivating me to get my problem spots tackled!! When I watch videos of ladies with already perfectly clean houses doing a “get it all done with me” video...I feel a bit defeated to be honest. Thank you so much for keeping it real with us and for helping out us moms with kids, real messes and busy lives.
“A slob comes clean” explains the concept of dishes math in her book. It changed my life. Highly recommend her method.
There´s also a video here on youtube where she explains it. My dear Miss ♥ you can make your life so much easier if you start to clean as you go (and teach your boys) .. Put the dishes directly in the diswasher, put things away insteat of letting them sit out .. The minimal mom said in her recent video: It has to be as easy to put away as it is to let it out. I realy like this and I made this a habit here for myself and for my kids (which are on their own now ..). I was a full time working mom of three for almost 20 years .. If I was able to do it you can as well becaouse you are strong and wonderful. No presure - learn as you go and you will get there! ♥ Look at this kitchen at the end! Wonderful and I like the floor a lot! And you of course and your boys are the sweetest .. And I wish you a Merry Christmas in middle of the 2. lockdown here in Germany ♥
Oh my goodness, dishes math...I love it!! I gotta check it out! Lol
Vinegar and baking soda, hot water and elbow grease. Ahhh sent too early. Wanted to say I love this video. You are so funny ❤️
Lol!!! Thank you so so much for your advice ❤️🙏🏻❤️
I hear vinegar and baking soda so much and it helps in some cases. The fizziness helps to unblock drains etc and for cleaning it works as long as you see bubbles but then it becomes just salt water. Here's what another person said:
Vinegar is an acid cleaner. It suspends hard water particles without the soda. It suspends hard water particles better than the salt made from mixing baking soda and vinegar. There’s no need to add soda to your vinegar bottle unless you just want to neutralize the cleaning power and make yourself work harder. If you want to clean with acid, do it. Don’t toss in the soda.
I do the same thing. And if you have a garbage disposal on that side of the sink, after you do the vinegar and baking soda and let it sit for 20 minutes then run hot water afterwards to rinse it and then throw ice and some salt on top of it run the cold water and run the garbage disposal and it will help continue cleaning it and sharpen the blades.
@@amara560 That is true. Let me be more specific: I sprinkle a ton of baking soda over whatever I want to clean and THEN I pour cleaning strength vinegar over it and let sit.
For the oven - I’m also really sensitive to bleach and other chemicals. The best product I’ve found that actually works is Easy Off Fume Free. Yes, it still has a scent, but it is tolerable with ventilation, and it does the job in one go (the baking soda method just doesn’t work fast, especially on a really dirty oven.)
You are a new woman!! You are so kind to others, in this video you are finally kind to yourself. No judgement its like - this is me! Let's just clean it!! 😉 Hurrah you are an inspiration xx thank you xx
I just have to say your kitchen looks amazing love the hardwood flooring better than the carpet.
So much better!
When we bought our house in the 80’s, there was carpet in the kitchen from the 60’s! It was the kind with the black rubber
backing that was glued to the floor! The hours we spent scraping it up was ridiculous! Not only that, it was so ugly!!!
I'm always surprised how fast I can straighten an out-of-control kitchen once I start. Once I'm left in peace to tackle it the motivation fires up and the war begins! And yes, I sometimes look at the drainer and think, "Oh, Yuck!
Isn’t it glorious when you do the microwave steaming trick? So satisfying!!!
Right!!! It just wiped right off!!
Totally agree!!!! 😍 It's the little things!
Maybe the boys could help doing the dishes after dinner?
Hot tip: your oven door is removable by opening slightly and pulling up. Makes reaching the back part so much easier!
Oh wow, I had no clue!! Thank you for sharing that with me ❤️🙏🏻❤️
Great job! If you having problems with too many cups being used every day, try limiting water cups to one cup or bottle to one person per day. Of course, they can get a second cup if they going to drink something else like juice, but otherwise, this could cut down on how many dishes pile up. Also if you have your microwave on the counter it would be a good idea to move it and clean underneath it as you did with the toaster oven.
I also recommend putting out healthy snacks on display. Bonus points if they don't need dishes! I have a bowl of those tiny easy-peel oranges out in the kitchen. Whenever someone wants a snack and goes into the kitchen, the fruit is the first thing they see. With how many treats there are this season, we could all use a little reminder to keep eating healthy.
Your kitchen looked like I would expect any houses kitchen to look like! Your doing so good!
I wish I saw your mask on lol it looks so cute, definitely you
Lol!! I posted a picture of me wearing my mask on my Instagram page! And thank you ❤️🙏🏻❤️ You are such a good friend to me...I’m so grateful for all your encouraging messages 🦄💜🌟
Ah ok, I don't go on insta. I prefer facebook. Creature of habit.
I've been on tiktok a lot! I've learned so much about adhd, things I do but didn't realize it was a real thing! Lol
You could do to your oven like what you did to the microwave: steam water in a oven safe container of some sort. Like what you use to bake a cake
Add some lemon juice to the water. Then when whipping it down use backing soda to help scrub tough areas
Great job! Vinegar and bicarb would've worked on the sink if bleach gives you a headache! I only use vinegar, bicarb and essential oils (and elbow grease!) for cleaning now!
Also for kids cups/bottles, the kids have 1 bottle in their lunch box and 1 cup and 1 bottle for home/days out, makes clean up more manageable!
RE: the oven. I might be wrong, but I think you're going to need to use a regular heavy duty oven cleaner to get that dealt with. Spray it before bed, leave it overnight, and the next morning it will easily just wipe off (and the fumes won't be as bad) Then, maintenance can be something less heavy duty like baking soda and vinegar paste or something.
I have a self cleaning oven now, but years ago I used to use a fume free Easy Off , and it was great, worked really well.
Nice job getting your kitchen set back to zero! The trick is to follow your morning and evening routines. Once you've got those in place, it really is half the battle!
I am chemical free here. I dont use anything toxic in my home.
I use carborundum sponges for stove, bottom of pans/pots, cookie sheets etc
Nothing brown here anymore since using them. You can purchase on amazon.
For the door of my stove when it got bad, I used norwex cleaning paste and my door looked brand new
Also, invest in a enviro cloth from norwex. Cost upfront (about $22 for a towel) But, I have had mine for about 6 years already and is still like brand new. I use for all cleaning. No longer need any cleaning supplies so in the long run, it has saved a TON of money. They are antimicrobial, antibacterial...so I never worry about meat on my counters
Ooo yes I love kitchen declutters!
Love how you have been including your family more in the vlogs!
There is no doubt you’re a busy lady but I would say it’s more likely the messes get out of control like that from the habit of not putting stuff away or picking up when you’re done with things right away. Leaving a lot of small little tasks to deal with later adds up to a lot of work that could be otherwise avoided. Maybe try to enforce a rule that if something takes 5 minutes or less, don’t wait, just do it right then. Like the bags on the floor, or the dishes and miscellaneous items left out on the counter. If you timed yourself I bet putting all of those things back in their spots at the time they were initially used would all take less than 5 minutes. Even a quick rinse of dishes and into the dishwasher after each meal only takes a couple minutes. Just work on developing those habits and I think that would go a long way for you. You can do it! You’ve already come such a long way and are doing so great!
Oh it’s 100% my habits that contributed to it too!! I mentioned my ADHD but I didn’t go into details. My mind is like the stock market ticker...it is a constant running thought of information. I have to pause my mind to process the thought. So what you see is all those unfinished tasks because my mind raced to the next thing. I’m really go to reprogram my mind to make putting things away a subconscious habit since my mind is always racing! Thank you so much for your advice and help! I appreciate that ❤️🙏🏻❤️
Just putting away stuff promptly is easier than going back to a mess. Looks good!
You're comments about your kitchen & dishes made me laugh! 😂 I'm handwashing my piled up mess.(I don't own a dishwasher) I'm about 1/2 way thru. Thanks for sharing this kitchen clean up. I really needed this kind of motivation, too!!! Great job on your cleaning!🤗💖
i have used a mix of vinegar and baking soda with dish soap on my oven
Wow! What a transformation! Now you can truly enjoy the holiday! ❤️👌👍🥰
Get any oven cleaner, Spray it on thick, Grab some clingwrap and lay it on top of the cleaner and Stick it to the Sides. Let it sit for a day and then it should be easy to Clean. The clingwrap helps keep the cleaner moist and working very long
I try to use one cup for the day. I rinse it with hot water after every meal/snack then put it in the dishwasher at the end of the day as part of my nightly routine.
You did a fantastic job. Wow 🤩 how far you have come! The kitchen looks awesome...🥳 My advice would be: Hubby should not help. Because then you are still the project manager. And you still have a full head. Share responsibilities instead, this makes a good equal partnership...Maybe you take responsibility for washing cloth and he for kitchen cleaning. One takes cooking, the other buying food.... When you work, AND homeschool the kids, then you can't have full responsibility for household tasks... because then you try to live the life of more than 4 persons (mother, wife, teacher, worker, youtube star, good neighbour and friend, caring community member, artist), but you have only 24h a day. 💚
Thank you my beautiful friend, I really needed to read your message ❤️🙏🏻❤️
Maybe after Christmas you could do a video on decluttering my kitchen cabinets. Use one of your cabinet that rolls for not everyday using. Watch Dawn’s video and pack up what you think you can do without put in basement after a few months see if you miss anything. I would try to downsize on drinking glasses and see if it makes a difference. 😊🥰
Dear Ms. Heart, if you have a problem with bags on the floor then the best solution is a wall coat rack. When you enter the kitchen, immediately hang the bags on the hook and it will not bother you on the floor. Greetings from Serbia.
Love your kitchen Christmas look and vibe! And I cannot take my eyes off the floor! I remember the carpet! As many-for the oven a good solution of either baking soda and vinegar either citric acid will help. And same as with the microwave-try out lots of steam before. To make it smell nice, and help out with the grease, you can toss some half lemons in the water and make it steam in the oven:) Take care Mrs. Heart. A joyful and full of love Christmas to You, Your family and all the people in this channel!
You are doing an exelent job and you obviously care so much about your children having a safer and welcoming home. There is clearly a little bit of a plastic cup situation in the kitchen 😀, but just remember that it's nothing compared to where you were before you started your journey.
Great video. But your kids should be washing their own cups and loading their own dishes in the dishwasher. They are way old enough.
For the stove I’ve found that the self cleaning mode is a life saver. It helps so much. Mine still has yucky stuff in between the glass panes.
Your kitchen looks so beautiful! And you got your wish for Christmas! Yeah!!
My kitchen has been a lot worse...because I don't have a dishwasher and hand washing dishes is just something hard to bring myself to do. But I have been keeping up with them recently. I cleaned the top of the stove and hood. It took me five days (disabled and can't stand up for very long) but I got it done. Now I just want to sit and watch it gleam! With help, the fridge, freezer and several cabinets are also clean. Counter is almost completely cleaned--all but one little spot. Still need to clean off kitchen table and mop. It feels SO good to come in and find a clean kitchen! But I bet you know that!
Just wanted to say that I felt connected...because of my dislike of washing dishes, messes everywhere (got the messes off the floor too!) and things that accumulate on counters.
Happy holidays to you and your family!
First!!!!! I am two minutes in and your commentary is hilarious! For the oven and even the sink I use soda bicarbona and white vinegar. It works magic.
That’s what I use as well. Can’t do the bleach.
You are the Unicorn of the Day 💜🦄🌟💜🦄🌟💜🦄🌟 And thank you!! I will write that down!!
@@donnajohansen5915 where do you buy the bicarbonate?
@@9023rsd it is just plain baking soda.
@@donnajohansen5915 duh! 🤪 thanks!
Is wasn't as bad as I was expecting. You are definitely making progress. Great result.
A couple of thoughts for you
I hate cleaning oven racks, so when they look a bit grotty I put them in the dishwasher on a pot cycle with the pots and pans, they come out sparkling :)
Have you got a cute small container you can put on the bench to hold the sink plugs, sponge, scrubbers etc. If you corral all the small things in a cute container then it makes it look a lot tidier, takes up less room and looks a lot nicer imo
I also agree with what others have said, you get one cup a day per person or maybe two for adults, one hot drink and one cold. I rinse after use and store on the drainage part of the sink until I want another drink
Also dirty dishes go straight in the dishwasher. I only rinse them if they are particularly dirty. It keeps the kitchen tidy if the dirty dishes are out of sight
Great job btw
Baking soda and peroxide and even some vinegar on that oven! Make like a paste 😌👍
Yes!! Get a good scrub brush too. Please don't buy those awful chemicals. They are so bad. Put a paper bag under the door when it's open To catch any gunk.

She will help you clean anything!!
Thank you so so much girls!! I will check out this video too ❤️🙏🏻❤️
@@ahoardersheart she has a ton . She will help you organize too.
I'm gonna work on my kitchen.i hate cleaning everything.but I gotta start somewhere and I want to change for the better thus next year and try to be less hoarded and such.thanks for inspiration.
Dawn the Minimal Mom suggests to only keep the amount of dishes you need for one day and then they HAVE to be washed before you can get more food.
Omg I am so with you on this one, I have no problem keeping up with laundry but dishes not a chance, always dishes lol
I didn't see anyone else say this- you need a dishes routine! My dishwasher is run every night even if it isn't totally full. Then I empty it as soon as I get into the kitchen in the morning. So all day we know it is ready for dirty dishes, they can bypass the sink. At the end of the day I should just have some pots in the sink to handwash. Whenever I get away from this washing dishes feels like a major chore!
Happy for you that you got your Christmas wish!
Girl have your kids help with the house hold chores. Your oldest is old enough to be able to start doing dishes, helping with the laundry, or cleaning the bathroom while your youngest could could help by sweeping or vacuuming too. There are three of us and we had a chore rotation. For the week one had laundry, one had dishes, and the other had bathroom. We didn’t have to do it everyday of the week either just 2-3 times. It will also help to teach your kids life skills. You helping them to grow their decluttering muscles but they can add keeping things clean into that. The first time I did laundry in college their was another mom there showing her daughter how to do laundry and that is a skill of independence that they need to start forming before they leave home for college. Also for the oven we use hot water and super degreaser dawn dish soap but you don’t want it to be super bubbly.
Omg you absolutely nailed that clean up. Well done 👍 Your kitchen looks great and the floor is amazing. Stay safe and healthy. Mary, Joes wife 👏👍🦄💐🥳
Try "Pink Stuff" to clean your oven, then when it's clean put tin foil or one of those oven liners on the bottom 🥰
Oh I will definitely try it!! Thank you! I hope you are having a healthy & fun Holiday!
@@ahoardersheart I don't know if you will see this but we like to use an all purpose cleaner (mixed in a spray bottle) made of Dr. Bronner's liquid soap on our oven😁 We share this whenever we have the chance!
I recommend Method Heavy Duty Degreaser for your oven. Baking soda and vinegar work too, but I find it hard to clean up and I don't always want to wait hours for it to work its way through the grease.
Thank you for the motivational video. I have learned that there are 3 things I have to keep-up on for a clean home. Dishes, laundry, and bathrooms. (If my dishes are done likely the kitchen is clean too.) So... I guess it is time to start a LOL (load of laundry) and do some dishes. 😊
First looks wonderful! With everyone home run the dishwasher after breakfast or lunch and have the boys empty it. Your husband isn’t helping you, you two are a team and working together. I would think about using plates that can go into the dishwasher. You can try water with lemon in an oven safe bowl for the same trick in the oven. Putting down foil or a matt under the elements helps a ton.
If you want suggestions I have two.
1. Run your DW every night...even if it's not full
2. Put a little vinegar in the water for the microwave
Good job girlfriend, you have done so amazingly well but I think the kitchen would be less work (maintenance) for you if you did another kon Marie, your decision making muscle is so much more in tune and I think less plastic would not only help you keep on top of it but for your health it’s good to minimise the plastic especially ones that’s has wear & tear 🦄🌺💕
Good job :-) I think that I gave away most of the things that I cannot put in the dishwasher, so that I have to wash as least as possible by hand. I don't keep decoration in the kitchen, because it really annoyed me to move a lot of stuff before cleaning. For the oven: baking soda and water, you make a thick paste and leave it over night and you rinse it with water. For very hard spots baking soda and vinegar and rinse with a lot of hot water after that. Thank you for your honesty and your hard work, you are inspiring! Merry Xmas!
When mine were little, we put more than half the dishes out in the garage in a storage tote. Just to see what we could live with at a minimum. If I wanted something, I would go out and bring it into the house. But usually it was just inconvenient enough that I figured something else to use. Now, we each use one glass a day, all day. Hubs and I use a regular drinking glass, little guys use a water bottle with a lid. We now have popcorn night with cereal bowls, drink water out of coffee cups if need be, and kids eat off the little plate that came with the dish set. We got rid of everything that was still in the garage after a year. (I don't think most would wait that long, but I wanted to get through the whole set of Summer BBQs, birthdays, and holidays first. )
Hello Mrs Santa Heart, I wish you all a lovely and safe Christmas time!☃️
Great your husband helps with the chores, I really get your struggle with the kitchen, but luckily my hubby is a former cook, so it's his territory 😁 my part is the laundry, which again he struggles with.
So I say Go, couple chores cooperation!
Great job, HH!!!
About the too many cups, The Minimal Mom did a vid a few years ago about Air BNBs/vaca homes having a limited number of pots/pans, plates, cups, betc for the household. I use to hoard dish sets but deciding on a sets & putting away what we dont need has cut down my dishwashing. And I don't have a dishwasher so its helped my hands.
❤ your channel!!! Thanks for sharing with us!!!
Great job on that kitchen!!
Looks awesome! You can replace those drip pans on your stove for about $10. It will make a big difference! I had to do it too
I bought a Dupray Neat steam cleaner. Works wonders all over the house including the oven. No chemicals. Just water.
Fume free Easy Off oven cleaner. I spray it at night and clean the next day.
Ohhhh...I’m want to try that! Thank you!!
So impressive! You did a great job on the Kitchen - which happens to be my favorite room in the house to clean because it's so easy and satisfying to see the progress made. Something to consider - put the initials of the boys on 2 cups each. If one is dirty, they can use the other, but if not, they are old enough to wash and reuse because they are really old enough to be doing dishes. I can not use bleach or any cleansers that smell so I clean my oven with baking soda and vinegar - make a paste, let it sit overnight, and wash off the next day. If the oven is still crusty, rinse and repeat. For my cabinets, I use Dawn dish soap and water. Vinegar water or non ammonia Window cleaner for mirrors. The only bleach you'll find in my home is in Comet which is what I use when my Kitchen sinks get gross. Have you considered setting a timer for 15 minutes and working on the kitchen each night? There is nothing like getting up in the morning to a clean kitchen and it's not so much about minimalism at my home as much as it is about creating a peaceful environment where I can rest and relax.
I have that same little snowman cookie jar! I just love him! ☃️
My new oven is self cleaning! I highly recommend!
They make an easy off that is fume free it's in a blue aerosol can.
This is what I use and I love it
I hate cleaning the oven cuz the fumes with cleaners. The best ive found is baking soda mixed w water to make a paste and let sit in oven for awhile then spray with vinegar to fizz it up then wipe it out
One important thing I have learned with dishes is that if they are there to be used, they WILL get used. So, if you have 800 cups, people will go for a clean, new cup and use all 800 before they start cleaning the dirty ones. This means that limiting the number of dishes you have will enormously help the amount you have to clean. I have a rule that we can only have 2 each of something (so we have 4 of all the main dishes - plates, bowls, etc.). I never keep anything more than that. Also, no duplicates of special kitchen items. Only 1 whisk, only 1 apple slicer, etc.
With that said, it might be useful for you to go through and do another sweep of the kitchen.
Love a clean kitchen
Love it great job!! I find I still have too many things in my kitchen and I feel like I’ve decluttered a lot haha but when I think about it I don’t use all of it...ok time to do some decluttering haha be my Christmas gift to myself!! There is nothing like waking into a clean kitchen. Makes cooking dinner and finding things so much better! I absolutely think your doing a great job and everyone’s oven and sink get low that from time to time so don’t be embarrassed ❤️ MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎄
Hey, Ms. Heart, I figured out your real name. The S in the kitchen stands for Mrs. Santa! How fun that parade must have been for you and your boys! :D
Lol!!! Awe, you are so sweet 🤩❤️🙏🏻
I am so excited to watch your video whenever you upload 🤗❤️
Much Love from Philippines 🇵🇭❤️
Merry Christmas. I love your honesty with the “funky dunky” stuff. You made great progress and your kitchen looks beautiful. I would suggest watching Minimal Mom about having too many dishes. Boy was that true for me. I totally went through my kitchen and it made a world of difference. Now that your boys are getting older they can have their special cups and when they are done they go in the dishwasher and if it’s full they can clean them immediately. No negotiating on that one. 😀. I love your videos!
I use oven pride. Its really strong smelling but its the only thing that's worked to get the grease of it.
Looks great! I think you have too many dishes though. I have found that if you have less than you can only have so much to pile up. There are 3 of us and so we have 6 plates, 6 bowls, 6 cups, and I have 4 pans with lids, etc. Just a very pared down kitchen. We don’t even have enough to make it worth using the dishwasher, but my kids wash their stuff most of the time because they know if they don’t they won’t have a dish for the next time they want to eat something. Less inventory makes for less cleaning. I love your backsplash by the way.
cant get enough of these videos! i love seeing the weekly updates and i celebrate with you seeing all the progress 💜
Magic erasers are good on oven, if you do it often after over cools down it won't clog up like that. Thanks for sharing your experiences, really inspiring 😊
For your oven order a pumice stone (ones for toilet) on Amazon. Use that on your oven door window and anywhere else grease won’t come off.
How is it that I'm just now finding your channel? I've finally found my tribe😂. I have the most random crap sitting in my kitchen right now.
Love your clean counter!
Great video. It didn’t take much time for you to clean. You’ve come so far!
Thank you so much ❤️🙏🏻❤️ You’re right, the old me would have made this a 5 part series 🤣🤣
The fume-free Easy Off cleaner is the only thing that worked on the super old, really crusty oven at my last apartment. (I had tried multiple "non-toxic oven cleaner" recipes from Pinterest on it, and while they made some improvement, they never got it fully clean.) I have asthma and get headaches easily, but it didn't bother me.
Since I know that reducing the number of cups you have is easier said than done, I'll echo another good suggestion: try having your boys pick a cup to use throughout the day. When I started this with the six-year-old who I nanny, I would put a sticky note on the counter/table that said "Sara's cup" and she practiced putting her cup on that when she wasn't using it. After a couple of days, she started writing the note for herself when she got a cup in the morning. Now she's graduated from the notes and can keep track of one cup all day - a big improvement from 3-4 cups that each got rewashed twice a day because no one knew which cup was whose. 🤪
As a housekeeper, when I clean ovens I take a soft powdery abrasive cleaner such as bon ami and a metal scrubby (Scotch bright is my most used brand) to scrub the oven, and then an all purpose cleaner (Or soap and water) to get the oven clean. It's a bit scary to use at first but the brand I recommended has never scratched an oven I've cleaned, and there's no odor. It takes a bit of elbow grease to get everything but the end result is worth it. :)
I hope to see a kitchen declutter soon, because I think that will help you a lot. Less stuf also means less dishes😉❤️ doing great!
That sink would have been fine with some vinegar. Dishsoap and backing soda. And lots of hot water. When IT is really bad i put a little dishwasher poeder with bolling water in it. I never use bleach.
Also having loads of cups encourages to grab new ones all the time. So having less bowls, plates and cups usually means lees dishes. Also i do not rinse stuff that input in the dishwasher. I do not handwash and soak my laundry before i put it in the washingmachine. And i do not hang my laundry to dry and then put it in the dryer.
Dishes on the counter Will be used again. If it is ready to be cleaner IT goes into the dishwasher.
I don’t clean my oven often but easy off works well!
Amway oven cleaning gel, my favourite!!!
I cleaned out my sis in laws oven (much worse than yours) with baking soda and water. Make a paste and slap it on with gloved hands. Works on the wire racks too. No odor, no chemicals in your food. You slap it on and leave it over night. I had to go a couple of times as I didn’t get perfect coverage but honestly it was so easy. If you need extra help, spray some white vinegar on the paste before you rinse it off. You do get a bit of vinegar smell but it’s still better than chemicals! I used to use oven pride but The chemicals burnt my skin so I go natural now!
Wow, that’s it?! And it came right off! Thank you!! The chemical smells kill me too!
Looks like we all use vinegar, peroxide and baking soda!😂 It really works great. No nasty fumes or harsh chemicals. Loved this video! Your kitchen is beautiful! Those new floors are gorgeous!!😍Love the way you decorated it for Christmas. 🎄I used to have the same problem being inundated with cups. I have my boys reuse their cups. They rinse it after each use and leave it at the place where they sit at the dining room table. That way they know where to find their cups when they are thirsty again. Works like a charm. You do so much for your community! All the neighborhood gifts, the sharing table, dressing up as Mrs. Claus! You really are such a lovely, generous person. Mrs. Heart is the perfect name for you because you open your heart to so many. Hope you and your family have a lovely Christmas!💕, Kate
You are an amazing friend, you know that!! Thank you for always leaving loving encouraging messages ❤️🙏🏻❤️ And that’s a great idea!! I will have the boys rinse and reuse their cups!!

Oven cleaning. I have asthma so both the traditional smelly cleaners and self cleaning ovens caused problems for me. The very best solution is to get an empty spray bottle, put about 1/2 cup baking soda into it, fill it with hot water and gently agitate until all the soda dissolves. if you spray the inside of your oven before or right after using it (especially for cooking something greasy), the grease plus the baking soda plus the heat combines to make soap. Once you are ready to clean almost all the crud and grease should wipe away. No fumes, perfectly safe.
When cleaning the sink with bleach; you do not have to use super hot water. In a espresso cafe we had to use rinse bleach water with cool water. Hot wash and hot rinse then cool bleach for sanitizing. Big plus No Headache. It takes less bleach than you think too. You inspire me to share my blessings with others.
Just a little tip on the stove burners:) if you line the drip pans on the stovetop with aluminum foil, it is much easier when the foil gets too dirty just take it off and throw it away and then refoil the pans. Then you don't have to take so much time to scrub those darn drip pans:) just something I always did and it saves much time in cleaning. As for the oven, I use baking soda, vinegar and those wire soap pads from Dollar Tree, it's time consuming and its messy but you don't have to breathe all the other chemicals.
You gave yourself a wonderful gift 🎁
Thank you so so much ❤️🙏🏻❤️
Great job looks beautiful 😍
I'm the same way! Laundry is easy, dishes are hard somehow :)
I use baking soda and vinegar with a magic eraser in the over and I use oxi clean and dawn dishsoap instead of bleach in the sink... No fumes :)
