I didn’t have any issues with my terminator out the box. I have a ak917 that also didn’t have any issues that I’ve noticed after about 10 packs through each rc. However I experienced back to back issues with the am d12 and the brushless 1/14 basher that came out before that (not the rog1). Those cars had loose screws everywhere and esc’s not even taped down. I’m a fan of Rlaarlo but I totally agree with you about quality control. Just subscribed. Looking forward to diving deeper into your channel 👍✌🏼
Intresting you got the one out of 100 that had poor control. I was also one of the ones to pre order if that’s what you want to cal it, it was more like give us your $ & we’ll get back to you whenever without communicating.😂 But anyways I’ve had no issues with mine the stock esc came loose & the battery if not secured enough will come out but other then that I’ve been running it with a Rustler 4x4 VXL but it has a Max 10 in it the Rustler is larger more of a true 1:10 scale & definitely faster. But the Terminator is blast I’d like to get it a little lower but I have alot of time on mine now & after jumping it running into stuff where I thought something would break but nothing yet. I’m curious how fast it is on 4s. I have a Spektrum 4s esc that I oiled drop in mine. Also I’ve never ran mine with the stock battery you will definitely not need the wheelie bar if you run it. I use a 3s battery with a higher cell count the stock battery is 35c & I’m running a 120c 3s & yes I need the wheelie bar. 👍
I like mine . Diff outdrives wear and blew a few e clips off the shocks under the piston , bent the front chassis and hinge pin , all fixed now , Nothjng major . I ve jumped the heck out of it . Metal hub screws keep coming loose , no biggie so far
Wow, not a good look for Rlaarlo but I appreciate the honesty. You'd think they've been around for long enough now that the QC issues should have been worked out 🤷♂ ..makes me even more hesitant to build up the 917, but I'll just check everything to be sure. Like you said, roller is the way to go👍
I was really surprised by the lacking QC. I am glad that you got the roller 917. The roller is $167 right now. I wish that I got the roller 787. I cannot believe that they ship the 917 and 787 Carbon RTR with a 2S battery.🙄
Makerfire has the mjx10208 right now , pre orders are in . They re calling it the upgraded v1 version in the email . They stated next batch around October . I ain’t getting one because I have this and the granite running good for me atm and I ll keep them that way until I can’t , lol
I like mine too but I think a granite is better all around . Even though this lands nicer and is pretty smooth . I like them both but if there was a choice to be made I’d go with the granite or big rock . I might feel different if the diff outdrives held up better .
Rlaarlo QC seems pretty poor.. and they dont seem to abide by their own warranty T&Cs either.. or deliver parts within a month of order. Disappointing.
The people designing these vehicles are doing an awesome job. The People building and QC'ing them,,,,,,,,,,, not so much. With that said, I am extremely excited about the Hobao TT 2.0. It looks to be a very good project Truck with many varying build options. I like what I see so far.
I would have to disagree. I've never had any issues with their product nor communicating via email with them and I always got my parts and etc within 2 weeks. Their quality is awesome IMO for the price point... but of course, everyone's experience is different for sure. I like their products so much that I now own more than 10 of their cars. So fun to modify them too.
@@anthonylim5120fair enough and glad you've had a good experience. I actually agree that for the price point it's a great product but from my experience of the things I mentioned, there's defo improvements to be made. For example, my OT diff shouldn't be missing a screw out of the box.
Thanks and i was thinking about this but the roller and adding electronics well over 300 so thats no good 😊
@@rcjoe406 The carbon fiber edition has surprisingly good electronics out of the box.

Hi, i think for a small MT like this 1/12, you can use another Motor 3600 kv on 3S ? and keep it stock ?! not very cheap carbon version ...
My thoughts is that it's the best mini basher of 2024. I beat the hell out of that truck and it just keeps going and going.

What makes it better replacing the ESC?
Yours didn’t wheelie on the stock battery/stock ESC??? Dude mine wheelies with the power trim turned down to 65%….
No wheelies with the stock setup. Maybe it was that missing bearing. I have seen varying results and experiences with RLAARLO vehicles.

Lower the car using the droop screws, it wont jump as smooth but will take all the stress off the outdrives.
have you order a bearing ? or Rlaarlo will ship one or a couples to you ?
They did not ship one. I picked one up at my local hobby shop (Danbury Hobby) today. Hopefully I can get it out for a bash this weekend.

I got my parts before the two trucks I ordered. Ordered parts 8 days later two. fucking cunts charged me 70 shipping two, in Canada
