Of all the wood turners i have seen on youtube, you are the first I have seen use a saw to cut the corners of a square blank to make it easier to turn (also much less wear on your body, on the lathe, and on the turning tools) I'm glad someone finally figured this out.
I have seen a few others do it and don't understand why more don't. The amount of time it would save would be worth the extra step. I also don't know why more turners don't rough a piece to shape before casting it in resin. Why pour a bunch of expensive epoxy you are just going to turn away?
WELL damn... Looks like I need me a Lathe, A table saw, a Band saw, Some chisels, and about 200 gallons of resin.. Love your work.. I am going to get back into working with a lathe Thank you
Really beautiful end result!! I love watching videos like this. I wish I had a shop where I could do this, I just don't have a place to set all of that up. But thanks for sharing.
Nicely constructed. The resulting pattern is very nice. I like the color. It's a shame that you couldn't core out the center for something another project. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe. Remember, when the wood goes around the face shield goes down.🙂🙂
Hello you are very talented and got a brilliant imagination the design is fantastic. The blue resin is nice it goes well with the wood. The lidded box is magnificent and unique well done, I love it the pattern is nice. All the best take care from Amanda xx
I am with you as well, I think it’s the way the resin being very thin and blue to where it creates an ugly color banding. I believe that it would look much better clear.

@@leospitz6541 exactly, if you are doing it more as a hobby, anything to save money is good. and, those cut off scraps can be used for future projects
They do it so you guys comment that they should - more comments means better outreach.

Beautiful place how much cost
hermoso trabajo, felicitaciones
Great lidded box. A lot of wasted resin though.
А сразу круглую заготовку сделать не вариант?
Ficou bacana.
Blue? I can only imagine how it would look with clear. The lumpy parts of the pattern would be less noticeable.
Wow!
All it needs now is a label that says COOKIES because that would be a lovely cookie jar.
Parlatici olarak surdugunuz nedir?
👏👏👏👏👏👌👍
Really, only Men can do this!
I'd check out when all that debris starts piling up on my arm 😭💅🏽
👋👍
So is this like a cookie jar or something lol
I’m very impressed with the artisan’s skills. Not so impressed with the finished piece. He has done much better
Am I the only one that thinks this design/pattern does not lend itself well to lathe turning?
You must be… All others who commented seem to love it, including me
Nope, I'm with you

Its hideous
No need to be rude about it. Read the “Community Standards”.
Not my cup of plastic
