At age 46, with 5 weeks notice, he tried a sport he admitted knowing nothing about against the strongest man in the world.
To be fair he got some MMA and judo plus military combatives, but your point stands.
what does strenght have to do with boxing?
With an over 20kg disadvantage too
Devon has no clue how to box. He doesn’t stand a chance from the start
@@worawatsr9803 yes, that's why he admitted he knows noting about it. It's more commendable.
anyone notice how no matter what the competition is, devon always has a smile on his face, and has such great sportsmanship?
💯
Thats his character 🫀
No pressure to compete when you've already won
I'm definitely a fan. And while he mightve displayed sportsmanship HERE, he SURE AS HELL doesn't FREQUENTLY on and off the table in Armwrestling. Dont get me wrong, I will probably ALWAYS root for the guy. But sell that shit somewhere else, bro. Lets call it as it is.
Larrat D. Evon
Usually people retire at 36 from this sport Devon made a debut at 46. 👏
And match with world strongest man😂 Devon is legend
What a man!
Man I love people with competitive spirits.
Props to Devon Larratt, honestly what a man. The difference in height and weight alone is enough to scare almost any man from taking this fight even if it's just an exhibition, not to mention the age difference. To step foot in that ring, to defend yourself at all times, and to stand your ground against Thor, is a feat in itself. He may not have won, but Devon certainly is an inspiration regardless. Great job to both of these athletes.
For their weight. The size didn't matter that much, mostly the age. After 40 is way past prime. Also the experience in the sport..
To be fair to Devon, he’s a much bigger guy than an average, he’s 6’6 124kg, so he’s only 3 inches shorter and 20kg lighter, the only real disparity is the age difference, and the fact that Thor has had so much more training. The fact that these 2 have been matched up is almost satirical
Well no, there isn't much of a difference in size EXCEPT for that 20 KGs of fucking weight difference. Larrat is like 6ft 4.5 and halfthor is 6ft 7.5
So in terms of height and weight it isn't far enough to be unfair, but they're both heavyweights and 20kg is a LOT. He's also much older, both at their primes would've been tough but I'll say Devon.
@@ShiningTrailblazerTV he is not 6'6
@@Andrewtate200 To have Devon admit that he sucks at boxing, and he clearly does, shows how humble the guy can be !
Devon is an absolute legend, got balls like boulders to get in there. Didn't think I could like him any more
Moral victory tbh. Didn't get put down in all that time.
he was in the special military. what else you could expect
What are you talking about? Lmao that's people that go to war and fight for what is mostly ungrateful people. Not getting into match you can quite before it starts or quite in the middle of it. Yes it takes confidence but you're seriously over-exaggerating it
@@absolutelyfookinnobody2843 devon admitted he doesnt know anything about boxing. Hes 46 and 20 kg less then thor who is the strongest man in the world.
No shit man
To be fair he's almost 50, no boxing experience, 5 weeks notice, arms can't fully extend due to arm wrestling injuries, going up a younger strong man that has been boxing for over a year (correct me if I'm wrong), impressive weight difference... gotta state the obvious Laratt has nuts the size of the moon! Total fucking legend and a kind soul
he is ex special force, correct me of i am incorrect.
@@dzaffryanwar1062 ex forces doesn't box anyway, most people are close hand to hand combat with no rules. Way more difficult when you have to follow rules.

@@BloodMoney187outside of the cage/ring yes but inside they are going to need actual martial arts training
Larratt is such a tactician, I can't believe he wasn't hitting the Mountain with his forearms. The Mountain and Larratt both show great sportsmanship.
😂😂
What a badass! I can’t imagine having balls that big & the fact that they gave him 5 weeks to train for it makes it even more insane! That’s a huge amount of bravery on display by Thor to pick a fight with Devon
Not bravery its idiotic lol
Devon had a fight with the strongest man in the world to promote armwrestling ( plus he's a nutter ), big respect to Devon.
Behave its a circus act and they look stupid.
Seriously, this has nothing to do with boxing.
Did you see Devon actually box?
It's just publicity stunts.
He looks like he didn't even took a boxing lesson.
His punching was major awkward. As slow as a turtle.
@@Ve-suvius wheres your video boxing against thor? smartass.
@@batman6540 Look, we all like Devon, but this was pretty silly. Devon has no fighting skills at all. He should have trained longer to build up remedial skills and given a better match for fans and his promotion. It's just a poor showing all around and it didn't need to be.
@@robertbrody4032 this was a show fight bro. calm down.
Just know that Devon’s reach is reduced by like a solid 20%. The man can’t straighten his arms.😂
Yeah, not easy to jab with his arms
@@H1storix Yep, and with expertise to pull and not hit (push)
Thats right HAHAHAHA
@Gorillaz troll naw not anymore bro had a elbow surgery
He's got those hooks though
How in the f*ck have I never heard of this match. AND Adam Devine was announcing? Awesome!
Adam Devine 😂😂😂
The size and age difference is big... but the biggest factor comes down to comfort and calm in the ring.
Thor is simply more relaxed, and carrying himself with ease, looks like a natural in his stance and throwing jabs.
Devon looks like an armwrestler, without a table to put his elbow on.
I would geuss that being younger, stronger, bigger, and much more trained probably had alot to do with Thor seeming more relaxed.
"Devon needs to relax" cause that's so easy to do when you have a ripped giant with world record strength in peak condition battering you lol
Not really his peak. He's over a 100 lbs lighter than his strongest
@@SayGahTaah it is his peak for boxing and fighting, at 400+ he'd be sluggish and tire quickly, he would be too stiff, his current physique is peak performance for combat
@@seanc7990 TOTALLY AGREE!!
Devon is also retired JTF2, or CSOR, I can never remember what one, regardless, he doesn’t have a boxing muscle memory, and with a 5 week notice, he didn’t do to shabby
@@SayGahTaah peak strong man and peak boxer are different. Boxing focuses on cardio so he has to be a lot lighter
Devon can't even extend his arms fully due to arm wrestling damage, even that disadvantage on top of everything but he still gave it a shot. 💪🏻

That and... Thor is scary as fuck, imagine getting hit in your arm by one of his hooks while fully extended... I think he was just scared of losening up cause of the disadvantage. He can definitely extend his arm and properly hit and throw u can see in sparriing footage... but this matchup was just too unfair.
@@newphonewhodis7069 No, he can't. He said it himself. He can't extend his arms fully. Check a few videos with Fuji

Lmao why hasn't anyone mention that Devon accepted this fight with a shot ass notice? And probably never boxed in his life And is 47? And still got in the ring!! Man No Limits is real! Much respect!
Hafthor mentions it in the interview in the ring post fight. As well as his coach. And the interviewer. Man everyone mentioned it.
Literally everyone mentioned that
and also in a few video's made by larrett and other people,, so if they don't know it by now, they need to listen
If you actually watched the whole thing, you would have heard Devind coach saying that he's only been boxing for 5 weeks.
You can tell he never boxed, fair play to him to fight frost.
The dialogue of Devon and his wife:
- Honey, you know what I'm going to do, after 5 weeks?
- What?
- I'm going to box with a 150 kilo giant, ex world champion at Worlds Strongest Man.

Thor is really really strong, but as a person he sucks.
You can tell Devon wasn't ready to box, it takes training and practice to even throw a punch properly let alone move around in the ring. Still so much respect for Devon, and hats off to the ref for a really good call.
He only had a couple weeks of training, if he had more time, he would have done better
still he has balls of steel an he looks like hes haveing fun to .
Bjornsson neither is a pro boxer... just imagine if he trained boxing since he was a teenager... Christ.
Without even having the video loaded up i can already tell he has issues straightening his arms. The lack of flexibility is what'll exhaust him and take any effectiveness away. There's nothing which undo this damage to his flexibility anyway.
Devons arms dont even fully extend xD he said fuck it ill box
guys remember devon can’t stretch his arm basically he cant throw jab punch
Notice how Devon by instinct goes for moves like pushing and wrestling. Like we know he was a special forces soldier, so we shouldn't doubt that this fight could go differently in a different scenario.

The first clinch he would have thrown him down and gotten mount
I honestly felt some distress of this fight, Devon reminds me of my dad, someone extremely strong that everybody thinks is peak strength but that has been hitted by the years. I didn't want him to get hurt, specially since he's fighting someone 15 years younger.

Devon didn't flinch once, props man
Huge respect for both of them. Extreme athletes and true gentlemen - that's what sports is supposed to be.
The men from Iceland are true gentlemen, gotta say nothing but love for Devon and the sport of boxing
Larrat in any situation stares, supposedly says - "everything is fine, everything is for fun"😂 👍
Does anyone know when this fight took place what year???
Legends. Devon's the reason I took an interest in arm wrestling - to get in the ring with the Mountain takes guts, always has a smile on his face, seems like an absolute gent too.
Devon can take a walk through hell with a smile. The ultimate man that all young men should aspire to be. What can you say about Thor? Just a genetic freak who’s on top of his game and one of the most impressive athletes in the world.
The wors "just" is hilarious before that sentence
"the ultmate man all young men should aspire to be" wow. those who raised you should be ashamed
Thor shit scared of Eddie the beast Hall
@@stephenmcculloch7192 Thor rocked his shit in a fight lol, he'd do it again
Thor looking like Isaac Frost from the Fight Night game 🥊
Devon has the heart of a warrior. Both guys are great examples of the human race
Roided out men. Thats a great example of the human race? C'Mon man.
He was Canadian soldier he fought against Taliban in Afghanistan 😮
@@Abu_bakar.7 yep, 8 tours to Afghan. He even got wounded there. He is a beast of a human
This kind of fight should've never happened. I've got a lot of respect for Devon, but it was extremely dangerous to step into that ring. I'm glad Devon wasn't really hurt.
It’s 2 guys that can’t box boxing.
Both are closer to gods then men. This is the clash of Titans, a colossal battle of epic proportions. The strength they have is absolutely insane.
How come I did not find out about this 💥💥
Devon is a legend. The ref did the right thing, it was going one way. Older guy doesn’t need concussion 🤕
probably has one
@Ross Rick lol tysons skill shows aging. but hey what can you do.
@Ross Rick yeah holyfield got dropped and tyson also quit lmao
@Ross Rick age is not just a number you, humble yourself
Salute to our veteran special forces I’m wrestling champion. For getting in there with five weeks notice. The balls on that man
