I have seen bands boasting several members who are good, but can't even come close to pulling off a performance like this. These three little dudes from the countryside are pure genius talent. They can hold up the entire world.
I think this is 'peak Muse'. Not to take away from the incredible earlier live stuff, nor the newer experimental stuff which I have immense appreciation for. The [well rehearsed] improvs, the energy, the audio mix, the crowd, the camera-work... even the stagehands were on point. It's the perfect [one-song] video to show this band off.
As a 12 year Muse fan, and a member of a band were we play mostly Muse, this is the best explanation I’ve seen of why Muse was at its best during that time.
I personally feel like Resistance era was peak Muse, the amount of effort and passion they put on thier performances and quality of the concerts were unmatched at that time.
