Bought a White CRV 2025 AWD Hybrid Sport September 1, 2024. Competition was a Subaru Outback. Opted to go with CRV, as it seemed less 'dowdy', and UA-cam comments included some that folks went from Subi to Honda but none the other way! So far, awesome vehicle. $35,533 OTD other than tax, cash.

I got the touring in July and LOVE it!! I only have one issue. The front inside window fogs up no matter what the weather is. But still absolutely LOVE my car!!!

Can’t seem to pick between Mazda CX50 and Honda CR-V. CR-V is known for being very reliable and has more space. But Mazda is also fairly reliable and has more features (panaromic sunroof, HUD, better interior/displays) for same or bit lower price. Help me decide.

I got the 2023 Honda CRV SPORT Hybrid with AWD. It’s red like this car. It is the best car I ever had. I almost have 19,000 miles on it. I get 38 MPH. BUY THIS CAR! You won’t be disappointed.

I really wanted to love the cx-50 but didn’t love the driver seat view, and hated the infotainment screen placement.

Not a ton for the driver though. I’m 5’8” and it’s barely adequate. It is a pretty nice vehicle though. Only time will tell how good it is and if the resale value will be decent.

It is Toyota that calls their eCVT an "electronically controlled" CVT. It's an accurate enough description. They essentially have a 3-way transmission called a Power Split Device. The ICE's power is split between a generator and the wheels. The generator pushes-back on the engine, which is what controls engine rpm. That power gets added back to the wheels by a motor.
The Honda eCVT is nothing like that. While marketing calls it an Electronic CVT, the name used in engineering is "electrically coupled" CVT. Most of the time, the engine drives only a generator, and only a motor propels the car. The engine runs at its most efficient rpm _and_ power, using the battery to save any excess or cover any shortfall.

      Which is better for reliability?
Which is better for AWD on snow?

@@sansinutube KBB and JDPower rate the Accord and CR-V as reliable as, to much more reliable than, the Camry and RAV4.
Just about any review of the Toyota AWD system says it is feeble, and can't get you unstuck. This is because it is just a puny extra motor attached to the rear wheels, so it isn't really AWD. It is 80-20 Front-Rear. The CR-V has a mechanical system. It impacts mpg more, but it actually works as a full AWD.

If its not bolted down, you can open it. If its not supposed to be opened, then Honda needs to bolt it down.
BTW, where do you put the spare tire that you buy aftermarket?
