NGodly children I am so please I hadn’t seen these videos that go back about four years. Both of you oh super good cooks the food I never had in my life since part of it I was raised in Manhattan and ignore this appetizing meals. Surely I would appreciate them even more when I was young and very hungry. I say this because I know my appetite is gone. As you have noticed I live abroad, Mallorca to be exact. My dad born in USA Decided to take us back, when Francos regime made it impossible for us to remain in Spain. I was very lucky to be taken to USA as an American when I was raised as best as possible. But I’ve missed the nature I used to be used to. We had to struggle in New York where we live by Riverside Drive we’re I spent most of my free time dreaming…I was only eleven. If you read this you know why being American I ignore all or most of the dishes that seem succulent that you prepare. I’m most grateful do you build for your fabulous videos, and information of Alaska and everything you do. You’re very generous and lovely couple that I have learned to love. Stay safe always and happy. Blessed
I marvel at your knowledge and what I would like to know is how did you acquire your work ethic and your waste-not-want-not attitudes at SUCH A YOUNG AGE? I'm an old lady city girl and have learned so much from your channel (as well as from other UA-cam homesteaders both young and old). For lack of resources, location and physical fitness, it's entirely too late for me, but I am inspired from what I see in the homesteading community and it gives me great hope for the future.
Anytime you want your breading to stick (on any food item) use cornstarch before you apply sticky coating. If you've ever taken the first bite into a onion ring and the entire onion pulls out...it wasn't covered by corn starch.
After you’ve fried the pork chops try making the garlic and walnut topping in the same pan so you get all of the drippings and lard from the pork .. you can utilize all of the flavor and dirty one less pan 😊
I notice you guys eat a lot of pumpkins and in an earlier video you said y'al have little to no snacks at the house. Have you considered roasting the pumpkin seeds and keeping them around the house for a light healthy snack?
I've seen ppl eat David's pumpkin seeds and eat the shell and all. It seems like it would be difficult to shell them. Is it normal to eat the whole thing?
sheaDtree probably our inverter fan running for our solar system, the train is 10 miles from us but if you're real quite you can hear the train horn sometimes 😀
That’s mainly to keep little kids from bumping it. When you cook you use the handle to adjust the pan etc. Let these poor people cook without keyboard quarterbacking!
I like all the different uses for pumpkin you show us! My Wife's father liked pumpkin preserves - with cherries n fruits
Wow, you eat like kings...I wish I liked cooking, i love good food but I have no imagination or patience for the kitchen lol. Great job guys.

Amazing couple! We need more like you in this world! I am impressed by your gardening and cooking skills.

That looked amazing!! 🤗 🤗 😋😋
Love seeing what you guys cook up, this looks fantastic
I love both of your cooking skills !
Have y'all done a A and A about like how/where you met, maybe wedding pics, etc? I love to see pics of when people just start out together. Ty
My favorite cut besides bacon. THE CHOP. The fritters are on the to do list. Wow
That’s a delicious looking recipe. Thank you .
That looks delicious. Awesome job both of you do coming up with new ways to use your garden harvest.
Looks tasty and delicious 😋
Older video and I am wondering how I haven’t noticed it before. I think I am going to try some of the fritters!
Great recipes, saved! Thank you
Well, looks like we'll be making this soon! You inspired us to make calzones last night! hahaha. Cheers!
Next time you make fritters, add a tsp of baking powder, which will make them light and crispy!
Anytime you want your breading to stick (on any food item) use cornstarch before you apply sticky coating. If you've ever taken the first bite into a onion ring and the entire onion pulls out...it wasn't covered by corn starch.
That’s interesting!👍
Love it! Y'all are awesome!

I was thinking same thing about the fritters.
Looks tasty, talk about some comfort food!
This just came up on my feed... WHY HAVE I NOT WATCHED THIS YET
yummy
Eric: Looks good going to have to try the fritters and the garlic walnut topping. Take care. Waiting for your next episode.0
cool.
When you were scraping the seeds out of the pumpkin, I can almost smell it!
Warm spices would be great with the fritters, using cinnamon and a touch of nutmeg instead of garlic etc
Toast and eat the pumpkin seeds, they are a natural dewormer : )
Mmm, pork chops!
Yum!
Are you a chef by training or self taught? Your food sure looks good.
Tom Skaggs, Eric is self taught and very creative. I think we both are insipired by the food itself :)
OK...I need to make that! LOL
Do you process your pumpkin seeds for eating and for planting?
👍🏻

Do you make anything with the pumpkin seeds? I love roasting them with a sprinkle of salt or other seasonings, and eating them kinda like popcorn!
fryeeamber18 yes we do, they are the best!
I've seen ppl eat David's pumpkin seeds and eat the shell and all. It seems like it would be difficult to shell them. Is it normal to eat the whole thing?
Do you save the pumpkin seeds to plant next season?
That looks good! Lol
Please start taking a bite of what you make and comment on it .......please
Eric: I wondered if you were going to cook a pork chop for your wife.
Same
Same
It was a pretty big one I thought maybe they were going to share that meal
Watching this while hungry and waiting for dinner, it did not help at all!
fritters.. great stuff!! but, segment 9:20-9:25 -- no lighting; too dark
Kinda sounds like a railroad in the back ground noise...? Or the overhead fan... Good EATS!!!!

Sorry about some unfinished words or miss spelled. Unfortunately I am under treatment for my eyesight so as not to lose both eyes.
как-будто смотрю на жизнь в России, а не на Аляске. Вы точно американцы? :D
You guys don’t keep Norms ( sweet & savory )
Well just try to make this pumpkin fry fritter and i fail completely. It fell apart in the pan
Why cook just one pork chop after all that work???
Can you build a box around the faucet and insulate it?
Yes, we could! Theoretically it should be fine since the water is draining now but we haven't experienced the coldest temps yet :)
You need to cook that pork a lot longer 😬🐷
The skillet pan handle should always be away from you to prevent accidents.
