- In this lesson I'll teach you how to play the intro to Baby Please Don't Go by Lightnin Hopkins on acoustic blues guitar. This video series in the style of the blues greats has proven to be very popular, check out others, such as Eric Clapton and perhaps someone you are less familiar with, Hubert Sumlin. For this particular song you need to keep a solid bass, dampened on the bridge. I am planning to continue this series with similar blues songs and artists. Your comments and suggestions for future videos would be most welcome, please post below.

Very helpful, thank you!
Lightnin Hopkins has been one of my favourites for a long time.
Another great lesson, this made me so happy, thank you, I'm going to spend far to much of my spare time pretending to be Mr Sam Lightnin Hopkins. May you be Well.
I love Lightning Hopkins. Thanks Joe 🎶🎶🎶
Will give this a try tonight cheers Joe 👍
Best bluesman ever period. It'd be cool if you could do some of his slow blues 😉
Brilliant as always thank you Joe
Brilliant lesson, keeping the Thumb bass going and playing the licks at the same time was really hard, but I’m starting to get it now and having a great time🎸 👌Thanks joe👌

Do you have tabs for this lesson via Patreon?
Can this be done with a plectrime?
I think that would be difficult brother, you could drop the bass and just play the top line with a plectrum?
