doing art while sleepwalking is super inetresting to me, it could mean alot of things that we don't understand, and it could push the limits for a person's mind, also imagine finding random art peices around your house when you wake up, and realize that you're the one who did it.
In one of the classes i used to teach, i talked about cases/stories of people that could drive while sleeping and wake up somewhere else, or people with sexsomnia that could do sex related conducts like masturbation or touching their partners. There are many different conducts that can happen while sleepwalking

It can be terrifying! I only experience a glimpse of what she does- i sleep walk but i occasionally get sleep paralysis where i can feel a hand on my back but i cant move to get up or push away from it. I’d hate to experience her hallucinations, she seems like a brave person!
Maiah’s video gives me such strong paranormal encounter footage type energy- even the dust that floats past the camera seriously reminded me of those old orb footage trends. And seeing how terrified she looked I really do feel for her.
I saw orbs in her footage of her. Sleep walking could easily fall under that realm of strange paranormal experiences we struggle to understand. Even more so, with sleep paralysis. She said she sometimes expects both

Oof, I relate to her. Use to have really bad sleep paralysis, it's been a while since I've had them. They showed up when I was dealing with being abused and the bad ones came when my mum was in the hospital. I would 'wake up' early in the morning and someone would just be standing in the corner of my room or I'd just feel this intense feeling of anxiety. And I'd just desperately try to get myself to wake up.
@@vamplizzard I get sleep paralysis sometimes but I actually enjoy it. Though I could understand that fear, having that happen while being abused would suck. I've been abused and I've had sleep paralysis but I haven't had both at the same time. I hope things are better for you now!
Must be frustrating ah if you can't do it while you're awake though. Imagine someone being like: "Omg that's amazing, can you draw .....for me?" And you gotta be like:" Yeah I can't " - "What you mean?? So you didn't draw these?" - "Oh no I did but I can't draw like this rn, gotta be asleep"
It's actually terrifying how much we don't know about our unconscious brain. Imagine if that man's unconsciousness could produce such brilliant artwork, how much potential we have in our own brains that we haven't tapped into yet? It's scary and incredible
I’m decently sure I’ve had out of body experience while I was sleeping, but than again I’ve had vivid nightmares and night terrors for majority of my teen years.
true, some people say they wake up from a nap with a new idea or a solution to a problem. It's interesting because we often think of our unconscious mind like a child, when it's possible that it knows things we don't when we're awake.
I definitely think our normal subconscious is a very different person than our conscious mind is. We know the brain is capable of sectioning off very significant things from itself in order to prevent trauma/try and find order in chaos. So your subconscious could actually be much more capable of certain things than your conscious mind is, but for whatever reason it hides those things away so you can't access it willfully.
I liked the fact that these 3 people have different experiences and are completely different and willing to share themselves so we can get a more complete picture of what it could men to sleepwalk. -Diversity for the win.- Love the variety
It really is so interesting, I've been following celina before her sleep walking vids and it's interesting because cheese and chocolate cause her to sleep walk instead of the other 2 people who seem to have more "normal" sleep walking experiences.
i used to have horrible night terrors, my parents would wake up to me screaming, for me the way to wake me p was to cool me down so they would use ice and put me back to sleep. i hope they don't come back

I think the saddest thing about Maiah's videos is how scared and confused she looks when waking. I have hypnopompic hallucinations due to narcolepsy, so I often hallucinate while I'm waking up. It was hard to watch the parts in Maiah's videos where she wakes up and cautiously touches the area where her hallucination was, or just looks around in confusion, because I know that exact feeling. It makes you feel like you're going crazy when one second there's something there and the next it's gone, even though it felt real. It doesn't help that it happens as you're in a state of waking up where you're still not fully conscious yet. My heart goes out to her, I hope she finds a way to get more peaceful sleep.
I feel you. For me it’s before I go to bed, which is why it’s hard for me to even go to sleep even when I’m tired at night. Mine are more auditory hallucinations rather than visual. I’m still in the process of a diagnosis because I failed the sleep study. I couldn’t sleep because I kept waking up over and over again and then every time I kept trying to sleep, as I was falling asleep, I would hear screaming, which is one of my hallucinations. Scares me every time and I hate it. Other times I see dark shadows in the corners of my eyes that flash real quick and I question if I really did see it or not. The scariest is when I can’t move as I’m falling asleep or when my limbs get weak when I feel too strong of emotions. So when I get too scared and my face gets weak or my legs give up and I collapse. It’s scary. I hope I can get diagnosed because it’s taken over my entire life and I can’t drive far in fear of getting a sleep attack and crashing
Yes, this… I have the exact same thing: hypnopompic hallucinations, from my medication though. When I first started having them, they were utterly just… scary and confusing. I’ve grown used to them now so seeing them isn’t as scary or creepy, but I can definitely relate to what Maiah does when she wakes and sees them. It breaks my heart to see that for her it’s so incredibly frightening. I wish her all the best and I hope that she finds peace with them and they will let her wake up much more gently.

I love the diversity of perspectives here. Lee's experience is curious and thought-provoking, Maiah's is frightening and difficult, and Celina's is just funny. It's great to have such different people sharing their stories so viewer's don't have a biased idea of what sleepwalking is like.

My friend's dad fell out of window while sleepwalking and died. This thing just scares me so much, yes, it can be funny sometimes, but it is also really really dangerous
My bf locks my door, makes sure the window is closed and I HAVE to put the bed in the cooler and sleep by the wall and bf will sleep beside me so he can feel me if I get up. I'm terrified if anything happened
I’m a sleep talker and at sleep overs I am always nervous to fall asleep and say something embarrassing. I yell and sometimes I hit my walls and I also a couple times I have sleep walked. My mom was so freaked out the first time I sleep walked! I also said some creepy stuff, I think it was “I’m waiting for mommy” to my mom’s face at like 4 am.
Oh, i feel you. But this will happens if i was really exhausted. I would blabbering something in my sleeps and i would remember what happened once i awake. When sleepover, i would whispering to someone that sleep beside me like, "Hey, did you hear that? I heard something." Oh, and this one time was more funny than creepy. When i farted and then make a whole arguments in my sleep lmao
I feel so bad for Maiah, I really do hope that she gets a peaceful sleep soon. It's so sad that we need sleep to live and mostly everyone needs it so she can't control it
My husband experiences this exact same thing as part of his epilepsy. It's terrifying for both him and me. He's woken up in an unknown neighborhood, no shoes, glasses or phone, lost for hours. Screaming, throwing things, crying, cussing. Its a literal nightmare.
My husband has sleep paralysis, night terrors, apnea, phantosmia, synesthesia and family members with epilepsy diagnoses. We're really terrified that he has epilepsy and that it will get worse. He's more afraid to get treatment because his sister had to fight to keep things like her driver's license and job after her diagnosis.
@Regina Mortuis im getting diagnosed for narcolepsy and I just experience hallucinations before bed, hard times falling asleep at night ( insomnia diagnosed) cataplexy( diagnosed, I’ve collapsed before on a rollercoaster, from fear and when laughing or scared), hard time staying asleep when waking up, wake up multiple times, can dream within five minutes, sleep paralysis before bed, sleep attacks, confusion, lots of repetition that I often don’t remember, vivid dreams where I feel them and can remember the feeling when I wake up, and I don’t move when I’m dreaming so people think i’m dead. It’s a nightmare.
I love how confident these people are and how strong that they can just own their sleep selves. In my teens and twenties I would sleep eat so much and wake up with cookies everywhere

I don’t sleepwalk, but I talk, scream, fight, cry and hyperventilate in my sleep. Usually my husband wakes me up or my cat lays down on my chest to calm me down when that happens.
I did this. I actually have a medication to take now because I was physically hurting myself in my sleep. I'd bite myself until I bled, I'd claw at my skin and wake up with huge sores. So, now I take a pill and it knocks me the fuck out. I'm a little harder to wake in the middle of the night but at least I don't have to worry about hurting myself. The whole family knows, just in case of an emergency. I'm glad you have some coping mechanisms though.
I ended up learning how to lucid dream. It really helps with night terrors. If you can become contious during dreams you can choose to wake up or change the dream. Paired with that, the power of prayer, faith in God, getting the house blessed and just integrating Jesus into my life. It gets your mind into the habit almost to just be able to change your mindset in any situation. It helps alot. Just living healthier positive lifestyle. No scary movies or books. Its all about taking care of your subconscious. Just a note. I dont sleepwalk but get night terrors and hallucinations.

The fact that Lee can't draw when he's awake but can when he's asleep is so fascinating and amazing. I can't even draw like that awake and I've been doing art for about 7/8 years. He is truly an amazing artists. 👏👏👏👏❤
@@enderalt1116 i can't speak for Just Maria but i constantly have nightmares of being chased, falling off buildings or stuck in an endless building or maze. Most of my dreams are like that, and it ruins my sleep and often causes anxiety when I wake up in the morning.
How did you get diagnosed? When I dream (a couple times a week), I only have nightmares and they’re extremely vivid and scary. I don’t remember ever having a good dream
What I noticed is you're much more likely to dream after playing video games or doing something mentally stimulating than if you watch tv for awhile before bed.
I lived in a psychiatric hospital my entire childhood till I turned 18 and there was only one patient who won’t diagnosed with anything at all but they slept walked so badly that their parents wanted them safe so they sent them there /:
that's so sweet and so sad at the same time :( they wanted their kid to be safe when they went thru that, but ik how bad of a reputation psych facilities have, so the patient probably dreaded being there. (assumption)

It's so good to see someone that has experienced the scary side, I feel like a lot of times people just think it's a funny and cool thing. I don't have any sleep disorder nor I'm a sleepwalker but lucid nightmares are kinda what I experienced throughout life and it's really, really scary
People think that sleepwalking is harmless when in reality that you could easily kill a man/woman in your sleep, im so happy you picked up this topic Anthony since not a lot of people look into the dangers of sleep walking unless you are one.
Mike Birbiglia has talked about his dangerous sleep disorder before, if you're interested in that side, he's someone to look into. He once jumped out a window, and has to sleep with his body wrapped up in a separate room from his wife so he doesn't hurt her ):

@@gween7652 Depersonalization is when you are detached from your personality. It makes you feel like that is not you, and sometimes, you feel like your forgot who you are while your body behaves like you always know who you are. Or worse, you feels like your body controls your movements and talking and not you controlling it. It's like watching the movie what "you" do. Derealization is when you're emotionally detached from reality. Your surrounding looks unreal, and relationship shouldn't be there. It is not recognizing what you are doing. For example, your friend enjoys time with you, but it feels like passing time. You feel like there is the wall between relationship. So depersonalization-derealization disorder makes you feel like you're in a dream in the reality. Can't be aware the reality is real real, and can't control what you're doing...
I relate to the panicked husband, I had a boyfriend who would frequently get out of bed to "feed the Lama". He would get a random item out of the fridge and then stumble out the door. There were multiple instances where I would wake up a minute too late and would bolt after him to catch him before he reached the intersection. At least he found it very funny when I told him in the morning.
Maiah seems like such a sweet girl and i feel bad for her, she struggles so much with the sleepwalking and also with anxiety. i hope she can overcome those struggles and hopefully feel more comfortable. ❤
My mom used to go sleep driving in the middle of the night. It was crazy how she got the keys, got in the car, and drove around the neighborhood. We had to start hiding the keys and after a bit of time it thankfully stopped.

You have no idea how bad my sleepwalking is. I drive cars, go to the bank and take out money, send full paragraph messages that are horribly nice or mean, block all my friends on social media's, I go through drive thrus order food and take it home. It is insane...my sleepwalking is no joke.

I'm just realizing I might've had similar experiences to Maiah from when I was younger. I don't know if I do but the way she described what happens whenever SHE sleepwalks reminds me from when I had vivid night terrors/sleep paralysis and it makes me wonder if those were just vivid nightmares/terrors and if I was actually sleep walking.
I'm glad Anthony showed us three different types of sleepwalkers. For Celina the talks were mostly silly. For Maiah is showed the terrifying side of sleepwalking, or the terrible things that some sleepwalkers have to experience. Lee was sort of unexpected, it makes me wonder how unique it is among sleepwalkers to have a special talent that they can only access while unconcious.
I sleep talk. I can have full conversations with my husband in my sleep and he says there is a laugh that I do when I'm asleep, that I *only* do when I'm asleep 🤷♀️ I've scared the heck out of some of my friends as a teenager, as I'd just be sat bolt upright, talking to, seemingly noone 😂
most members of my family do very light sleep talking (like soft muttering), but my brother every so often just sits upright and says like "It wasn't me!!" so loudly it's scary
My gf has helped tremendously with my sleep problems. (Ptsd is a bitch!) and she will sometimes tell me what I say in my sleep. Apparently I argue a lot, and I wake her up just going “no.” For seemingly no reason. I couldn’t say I’ve had full convos, but she swears I say “spaghetti” for no reason alotttt.
I once sleep walked into my parents room. My mom sead I sat on the bed. And she asked me wtf I was doing. I apparently mummbeled like "I am geting ready for school". She sead oh but you dont have school today and brought me back to sleep. She was scared that I will do it again (she was scared bc we have realy dangerouse stars between my and theirs bedroom), but I did it only one time again, I just stood infront if her and then went to sleep apparently.
I've never sleepwalked myself, but once fairly late at night my brother came out of his room and tried to leave the house. I happened to be awake playing video games when I should have been asleep, so I managed to stop him, but it still scares me to think what could have happened if he had just walked off into the night.
When I was younger, I'd scream and cry in my sleep and I've also managed to drag my entire bedsheet down the stairs just to tell my mum "I can't sleep" IN MY SLEEP???

it's interesting that he pulled in three drastically different dynamics of this situation that people live with; you got the one who is (from what we know) highly entertained by it, and arguably loves it because it's just too funny, then you got the one who is chill but also makes a decent side hustle out of this strange talent/skill he can't use awake to make bank (tho Celina becoming famous online from it, it's absolutely valid to say she too makes he fair share of bank off if sharing her nights, but I'm focused more on her overall attitude on it), but then you have the one who is (rightfully so) terrified probably day in and day out about what could happen. It's just three stark differences that really highlight that not one person's experience is ever going to be the same as someone else's, even if they suffer from the same thing. I'm glad he didn't pull people who all had the same/similar experiences and really opened the door for those of us who don't suffer from sleepwalking that not everyone who sleepwalks is going to be a funny Celina moment. while some things for certain people can be fun in some aspects, it also very well could be terrifyingly dangerous for others who have the same exact things.
I have that weird thing where you can literally have a full on conversation with me at night, my eyes are open and I reply normally but I‘m somehow still asleep and can‘t remember anything the next day.
My mom started doing it last week and she has do e it continiously since she talks to me at 1am about random shit it all feels natural but when i ask her about it in the morning she doesn't remember anything should i be concerned
My mom used to be a sleepwalker when she was younger. She want to be a doctor, so when she sleepwalking she'll go to the kitchen, grab a knife and walk around wanting to do the "surgery" Luckily my grandparents notice it immediately and they put a wet towel on the floor beside her bed, so she'll wake up when she stepped on the towel 😅
Hearing Celina say her mom has MS really got me, bc my biological grandmother died from it before I was born. My mom has gotten tested and such as well bc there are so many unknowns. I had no idea sleepwalking could be caused by something like MS, that’s so wild.
My mom has MS, so I know how you feel and am very sorry for your loss. You should get tested too though just in case, because I've heard it has a tendency to skip generations. It certainly has in our family.

It can be terrifying! I only experience a glimpse of what she does- i sleep walk but i occasionally get sleep paralysis where i can feel a hand on my back but i cant move to get up or push away from it. I’d hate to experience her hallucinations, she seems like a brave person!

Maiah’s video gives me such strong paranormal encounter footage type energy- even the dust that floats past the camera seriously reminded me of those old orb footage trends. And seeing how terrified she looked I really do feel for her.

Oof, I relate to her. Use to have really bad sleep paralysis, it's been a while since I've had them. They showed up when I was dealing with being abused and the bad ones came when my mum was in the hospital.
I would 'wake up' early in the morning and someone would just be standing in the corner of my room or I'd just feel this intense feeling of anxiety. And I'd just desperately try to get myself to wake up.
Gosh, it sounds terrifying :(. Im already paranoid enough at night as it is. Heart goes out to anyone who has to deal with that ❤️

true, some people say they wake up from a nap with a new idea or a solution to a problem. It's interesting because we often think of our unconscious mind like a child, when it's possible that it knows things we don't when we're awake.
I definitely think our normal subconscious is a very different person than our conscious mind is. We know the brain is capable of sectioning off very significant things from itself in order to prevent trauma/try and find order in chaos. So your subconscious could actually be much more capable of certain things than your conscious mind is, but for whatever reason it hides those things away so you can't access it willfully.
I liked the fact that these 3 people have different experiences and are completely different and willing to share themselves so we can get a more complete picture of what it could men to sleepwalk. -Diversity for the win.- Love the variety
It really is so interesting, I've been following celina before her sleep walking vids and it's interesting because cheese and chocolate cause her to sleep walk instead of the other 2 people who seem to have more "normal" sleep walking experiences.

I think the saddest thing about Maiah's videos is how scared and confused she looks when waking. I have hypnopompic hallucinations due to narcolepsy, so I often hallucinate while I'm waking up. It was hard to watch the parts in Maiah's videos where she wakes up and cautiously touches the area where her hallucination was, or just looks around in confusion, because I know that exact feeling. It makes you feel like you're going crazy when one second there's something there and the next it's gone, even though it felt real. It doesn't help that it happens as you're in a state of waking up where you're still not fully conscious yet. My heart goes out to her, I hope she finds a way to get more peaceful sleep.
I feel you. For me it’s before I go to bed, which is why it’s hard for me to even go to sleep even when I’m tired at night. Mine are more auditory hallucinations rather than visual. I’m still in the process of a diagnosis because I failed the sleep study. I couldn’t sleep because I kept waking up over and over again and then every time I kept trying to sleep, as I was falling asleep, I would hear screaming, which is one of my hallucinations. Scares me every time and I hate it.
Other times I see dark shadows in the corners of my eyes that flash real quick and I question if I really did see it or not. The scariest is when I can’t move as I’m falling asleep or when my limbs get weak when I feel too strong of emotions. So when I get too scared and my face gets weak or my legs give up and I collapse. It’s scary. I hope I can get diagnosed because it’s taken over my entire life and I can’t drive far in fear of getting a sleep attack and crashing

Yes, this… I have the exact same thing: hypnopompic hallucinations, from my medication though. When I first started having them, they were utterly just… scary and confusing. I’ve grown used to them now so seeing them isn’t as scary or creepy, but I can definitely relate to what Maiah does when she wakes and sees them. It breaks my heart to see that for her it’s so incredibly frightening. I wish her all the best and I hope that she finds peace with them and they will let her wake up much more gently.

I’m a sleep talker and at sleep overs I am always nervous to fall asleep and say something embarrassing. I yell and sometimes I hit my walls and I also a couple times I have sleep walked. My mom was so freaked out the first time I sleep walked! I also said some creepy stuff, I think it was “I’m waiting for mommy” to my mom’s face at like 4 am.
Oh, i feel you. But this will happens if i was really exhausted. I would blabbering something in my sleeps and i would remember what happened once i awake. When sleepover, i would whispering to someone that sleep beside me like, "Hey, did you hear that? I heard something." Oh, and this one time was more funny than creepy. My husband experiences this exact same thing as part of his epilepsy. It's terrifying for both him and me. He's woken up in an unknown neighborhood, no shoes, glasses or phone, lost for hours. Screaming, throwing things, crying, cussing. Its a literal nightmare.
My husband has sleep paralysis, night terrors, apnea, phantosmia, synesthesia and family members with epilepsy diagnoses. We're really terrified that he has epilepsy and that it will get worse. He's more afraid to get treatment because his sister had to fight to keep things like her driver's license and job after her diagnosis.

@Regina Mortuis im getting diagnosed for narcolepsy and I just experience hallucinations before bed, hard times falling asleep at night ( insomnia diagnosed) cataplexy( diagnosed, I’ve collapsed before on a rollercoaster, from fear and when laughing or scared), hard time staying asleep when waking up, wake up multiple times, can dream within five minutes, sleep paralysis before bed, sleep attacks, confusion, lots of repetition that I often don’t remember, vivid dreams where I feel them and can remember the feeling when I wake up, and I don’t move when I’m dreaming so people think i’m dead. It’s a nightmare.
I love how confident these people are and how strong that they can just own their sleep selves. In my teens and twenties I would sleep eat so much and wake up with cookies everywhere

I don’t sleepwalk, but I talk, scream, fight, cry and hyperventilate in my sleep. Usually my husband wakes me up or my cat lays down on my chest to calm me down when that happens.

I did this. I actually have a medication to take now because I was physically hurting myself in my sleep. I'd bite myself until I bled, I'd claw at my skin and wake up with huge sores. So, now I take a pill and it knocks me the fuck out. I'm a little harder to wake in the middle of the night but at least I don't have to worry about hurting myself. The whole family knows, just in case of an emergency. I'm glad you have some coping mechanisms though.

I ended up learning how to lucid dream. It really helps with night terrors. If you can become contious during dreams you can choose to wake up or change the dream. Paired with that, the power of prayer, faith in God, getting the house blessed and just integrating Jesus into my life. It gets your mind into the habit almost to just be able to change your mindset in any situation. It helps alot. Just living healthier positive lifestyle. No scary movies or books. Its all about taking care of your subconscious. Just a note. I dont sleepwalk but get night terrors and hallucinations.

@@enderalt1116 i can't speak for Just Maria but i constantly have nightmares of being chased, falling off buildings or stuck in an endless building or maze. Most of my dreams are like that, and it ruins my sleep and often causes anxiety when I wake up in the morning.
How did you get diagnosed? When I dream (a couple times a week), I only have nightmares and they’re extremely vivid and scary. I don’t remember ever having a good dream
What I noticed is you're much more likely to dream after playing video games or doing something mentally stimulating than if you watch tv for awhile before bed.
I lived in a psychiatric hospital my entire childhood till I turned 18 and there was only one patient who won’t diagnosed with anything at all but they slept walked so badly that their parents wanted them safe so they sent them there /:
that's so sweet and so sad at the same time :( they wanted their kid to be safe when they went thru that, but ik how bad of a reputation psych facilities have, so the patient probably dreaded being there. (assumption)

@@Normalizeewee "orbs" have been long, long proven to be merely dust moving and reflecting in the camera lense. Also, it's a little disrespectful to apply silly oooooh ghosties to a real traumatic condition someone is actively experiencing. It's not ghosts. She has a sleeping disorder.

@@gween7652 Depersonalization is when you are detached from your personality. It makes you feel like that is not you, and sometimes, you feel like your forgot who you are while your body behaves like you always know who you are. Or worse, you feels like your body controls your movements and talking and not you controlling it. It's like watching the movie what "you" do.
Derealization is when you're emotionally detached from reality. Your surrounding looks unreal, and relationship shouldn't be there. It is not recognizing what you are doing. For example, your friend enjoys time with you, but it feels like passing time. You feel like there is the wall between relationship.
So depersonalization-derealization disorder makes you feel like you're in a dream in the reality. Can't be aware the reality is real real, and can't control what you're doing...

I relate to the panicked husband, I had a boyfriend who would frequently get out of bed to "feed the Lama". He would get a random item out of the fridge and then stumble out the door. There were multiple instances where I would wake up a minute too late and would bolt after him to catch him before he reached the intersection. At least he found it very funny when I told him in the morning.
Maiah seems like such a sweet girl and i feel bad for her, she struggles so much with the sleepwalking and also with anxiety. i hope she can overcome those struggles and hopefully feel more comfortable. ❤

My mom used to go sleep driving in the middle of the night. It was crazy how she got the keys, got in the car, and drove around the neighborhood. We had to start hiding the keys and after a bit of time it thankfully stopped.

You have no idea how bad my sleepwalking is. I drive cars, go to the bank and take out money, send full paragraph messages that are horribly nice or mean, block all my friends on social media's, I go through drive thrus order food and take it home. It is insane...my sleepwalking is no joke.
@Hal Moore could be! But if this only happens when she is asleep, then it might not be. Alters usually present themselves at random (when triggered, of course).
My boyfriend has been my rock and kept me under control and safe with it. It's just scary to not know I'm doing it. Anything could happen.

I'm just realizing I might've had similar experiences to Maiah from when I was younger. I don't know if I do but the way she described what happens whenever SHE sleepwalks reminds me from when I had vivid night terrors/sleep paralysis and it makes me wonder if those were just vivid nightmares/terrors and if I was actually sleep walking.
I'm glad Anthony showed us three different types of sleepwalkers. For Celina the talks were mostly silly. For Maiah is showed the terrifying side of sleepwalking, or the terrible things that some sleepwalkers have to experience. Lee was sort of unexpected, it makes me wonder how unique it is among sleepwalkers to have a special talent that they can only access while unconcious.

I can have full conversations with my husband in my sleep and he says there is a laugh that I do when I'm asleep, that I *only* do when I'm asleep 🤷♀️
I've scared the heck out of some of my friends as a teenager, as I'd just be sat bolt upright, talking to, seemingly noone 😂
most members of my family do very light sleep talking (like soft muttering), but my brother every so often just sits upright and says like "It wasn't me!!" so loudly it's scary

My gf has helped tremendously with my sleep problems. (Ptsd is a bitch!) and she will sometimes tell me what I say in my sleep. Apparently I argue a lot, and I wake her up just going “no.” For seemingly no reason. I couldn’t say I’ve had full convos, but she swears I say “spaghetti” for no reason alotttt.
I once sleep walked into my parents room. My mom sead I sat on the bed. And she asked me wtf I was doing. I apparently mummbeled like "I am geting ready for school". She sead oh but you dont have school today and brought me back to sleep. She was scared that I will do it again (she was scared bc we have realy dangerouse stars between my and theirs bedroom), but I did it only one time again, I just stood infront if her and then went to sleep apparently.
I've never sleepwalked myself, but once fairly late at night my brother came out of his room and tried to leave the house. I happened to be awake playing video games when I should have been asleep, so I managed to stop him, but it still scares me to think what could have happened if he had just walked off into the night.
When I was younger, I'd scream and cry in my sleep and I've also managed to drag my entire bedsheet down the stairs just to tell my mum "I can't sleep" IN MY SLEEP???

@@h3c0x yeah and the other issue is I snore so when I cry in my sleep but can’t breathe through my nose I wake up in a panic because my nose is blocked 😂
I used to drag my sheets off my bed too, but I'd hide them in random places in the house. When I'd wake up cold, I'd have to go find them

The Orbs! Yes! Every time they showed a clip of Maiah there were orbs! That was so strange to me so I went through the comments to see if someone mentioned them.. glad to see I'm not crazy 😂
it's interesting that he pulled in three drastically different dynamics of this situation that people live with; you got the one who is (from what we know) highly entertained by it, and arguably loves it because it's just too funny, then you got the one who is chill but also makes a decent side hustle out of this strange talent/skill he can't use awake to make bank (tho Celina becoming famous online from it, it's absolutely valid to say she too makes he fair share of bank off if sharing her nights, but I'm focused more on her overall attitude on it), but then you have the one who is (rightfully so) terrified probably day in and day out about what could happen.
It's just three stark differences that really highlight that not one person's experience is ever going to be the same as someone else's, even if they suffer from the same thing. I'm glad he didn't pull people who all had the same/similar experiences and really opened the door for those of us who don't suffer from sleepwalking that not everyone who sleepwalks is going to be a funny Celina moment. while some things for certain people can be fun in some aspects, it also very well could be terrifyingly dangerous for others who have the same exact things.

I have that weird thing where you can literally have a full on conversation with me at night, my eyes are open and I reply normally but I‘m somehow still asleep and can‘t remember anything the next day.

My mom used to be a sleepwalker when she was younger. She want to be a doctor, so when she sleepwalking she'll go to the kitchen, grab a knife and walk around wanting to do the "surgery"
Luckily my grandparents notice it immediately and they put a wet towel on the floor beside her bed, so she'll wake up when she stepped on the towel 😅

Hearing Celina say her mom has MS really got me, bc my biological grandmother died from it before I was born. My mom has gotten tested and such as well bc there are so many unknowns. I had no idea sleepwalking could be caused by something like MS, that’s so wild.
My mom has MS, so I know how you feel and am very sorry for your loss. You should get tested too though just in case, because I've heard it has a tendency to skip generations. It certainly has in our family.
