As a Vietnamese American who resided at the Palawan Puerto Princessa Refugee Camp in 1988-1989, this video brought back so many great memories of the uncertain times I was there as well as how nice, beautiful and hospitable the island natives of Philippines there on how pleasant and humble they treated us refugees. Filipinos are indeed the nicest people I have ever met. Thanks The Chui Show for this special episode and Thank you Phillipines, the nation and its amazing people, in treating and taking care of us poor Vietnamese refugees during the hard period of 1979’s 80’s and 90’s. I will, one day in the future, go back to Palawan to visit this beautiful island and treasure the remains and forgotten pieces of the once crowded refugee camp of 10 thousands Vietnamese refugees shuffling in and out. God bless this beautiful country 🙏 Greetings from a Viet in Nashville Tennessee USA 🇺🇸🥰
Proud palaweña... I really love eating chaolong (beef stew) specifically.. thanks for visiting again our hometown Palawan. Enjoy more and keep vlogging food adventures.. God bless chui! 🙏
Taga Puerto po ako, pero hindi ko maire recommend ang Bonas chaolong, kasi nakakaiba ang beef stew nila, tama ka, food color at sobrang msg😢 Good ang PHO saigon, Stoo chaolong at viet ville.
It seems like another main difference of Palawan's Chaolong and the Pho of Vietnam is the noodles being shorter and the soup is often red. Not sure if those are rice noodles. The spring roll with rice paper wasnt common in Puerto Princess. As for the sandwich, it is too expensive. French Bread in Vietnam is cheap and definitely taste better.
