I can't believe how many musicans got inspired by this or sampled it. VAST, jason derulo, the ghost in the shell componist and at least two german rappers to name a few. That's unreal.
I’ve listened to hours of this Bulgarian Choir music and it still only takes less than a minute of THIS particular piece to bring me to tears. I don’t even understand the language.
there's another master piece like this, that's being part of The Golden Record which was sent with the Voyager 1 mission, its called "Izleel e Delyo Haidutin" by Valya Balkanska
Dessi is a beautiful person, incredible voice which just pours out from the depths of her heart.. How wonderful that she created this choir of English people singing in Bulgarian.
Този хор има нивото на ансамбъл Филип Кутев,което си е постижение за чужденци!Разбира се дълбок поклон на ръководителката на хорът Десислава!!Това и другите им изпълнения докосват душата и предизвикват сълзи в очите!
beautiful......I was given a tape 20yrs ago of Bulgarian choir/choral singing,(which disapeard over the years) and as soon as I heard this,I recognised it. Thanks for posting.
I so know what you mean. If I'm not weeping, I'm shivering from that "tingle" you get when music just hits the soul. They're so good in concert, and Dessi the leader is so funny with her descriptions of the songs. Always worth the ticket price!
I remember discovering Bulgarian Chior music after my boyfriend at the time mentioned that the ghost in the shell soundtrack sounded like the Women's Chior. More his grandma's thing but I was so happy to discover it and still a fan many years later!
Amazing, i heard similar samples pieces from VAST's most acclaimed track titled "touched" Thus helping to promote their unique Style, without it I wouldn't even know their traditional Songs ever existed.
+Raeed Chowdhury This is because the music in both The Witcher and Ghost in the Shell was inspired by it. Percival, the band that worked on the soundtrack alongside the main composer for The Witcher, tends to do folk music originating from all around central Europe, including Bulgaria. For Ghost in the Shell, Kenji Kawai found that the amalgamation of traditional Japanese and Bulgarian harmonies helped convey the kind of world that is featured in the film. He actually wanted to use Bulgarian singers, but as you could hear, such was not the case. A lot of unique, memorable music that you will hear is generally inspired by folk music, or other genres from yore.
I was hoping someone would point out that this type of music sounds like what it inspired because it existed due to innate culture and wasn't contrived for a fantasy world. Thanks for denoting that
it is same music as ghost in the shell which was used later by Kenji Kawai for his work , and Witches has also few Bulgarian folklore songs covered. You have good ear sir Chowdhury
oh wow I didn't think to EVER hear this song EVER again!!! The first time I heard it was on Echoes and had NO clue as to the origin of the singers. Wow memories!!
True!! It is so beautiful and catchy that when I hear it for the fist time in the song "Home" from "The God Machine" I was amazed. Then a biggest surprise was when I hear it again at the Roger Waters concert!!!!!!!
който е нехаресвал това, означава че са прости и не знаят какво е истинска музика ! the people who dislikes this means that they are dumb and dont know what real music is !
Not only Host of the Seraphim but much of Lisa's singing style. What astounds me is how on earth she managed to learn it with no cultural connection, no Internet, and no (from what I've read) classical training. I'm trying to self teach via online video series and so on, and that's been hard enough.
Do anyone know if you have to be Bulgarian to be part of the choir because I may study in England after high school and would enjoy participating in this choir. Im a long time lover of Bulgarian folk music.
Bulgarian choirs is the best! Pozdrav iz Srbije!!
Unmistakable, bone-chilling chords. I love this stuff as much as I did almost 20 years ago.
The Bulgarian folk music touches the soul...
Greetings from an American descendant of Bulgarians from Aegean Macedonia and Pirot!
only the greatness of a culture and its people can produce such greatness in art . my respects from Bharat.
If you're Bulgarian , Macedonia is home and region but not nationality this is where the dot or end of sentance is
Странно ми е кога някой кому фамилия завършва на ски да хвали Българи
@@Komap619 Защо този факт ти се струва странен? Не малко българи имат фамилни имена завършващи със "ски".
@@Ecoman365 I ask the same

+Solanuma so is the original!
Solanuma 1.Capo- Gut oder Böse
2.Kollegah-Königsaura
3.Kool Savas-Märtyrer
4.Jason Derulo - Breathing
And tiesto
but it isn't from this song alone, those are inspired by bulgarian choirs in general
Kaval Sviri is even more used... Just search. Bulgarian choirs are amazing...
Whenever I listen to this it feel like I'm walking into a huge ancient temple.
I’ve listened to hours of this Bulgarian Choir music and it still only takes less than a minute of THIS particular piece to bring me to tears. I don’t even understand the language.
When another race finally makes first contact, and is stepping off their ship we should be playing this.
Old traditional singing is something else. This and Celtic singing is some divine stuff, also Georgian chants.
I've been waiting long enough.

I love Bulgarian Music. It is soooooo loaded with amazing harmonies
The only words that can describe this are in Bulgarian. But objectively it's one of the most beautiful pieces of vocal harmony ever performed.

Power of Music :)
Wonderful. I am utterly blown away by this. Today, 9:2:24 Friday, The London Bulgarian Choir are on BBC R4 (Add To Playlist) at 7.15 I think. 🎶♥️⭐👍
Haunting, mystical, voices of the ancient, echoes from a mountain far away.....it crosses time and space.
1:51 I love this part that occurs multiple time throughout this piece! The harmony is so cool!
U like the resolve part ^_^ it calms your soul just like after a inner battle.
Невероятно изпълнение!Поздрави от България!

simply gorgeous.
Sublime to me. My roots are from the Dades Valley .Such beautiful voices transported from Vallee to vallee, pristine
Utterly lush. Thanx so much for sharing.
The trainer is bulgarian, the choir is from english people with lots of love to the music
i know many of them are Bulgarians living in London.
@@stunix_uk some of them, but the main thing is the love for our folklore, culture and music "Whoever sings, doesn't have evil thoughts"
Goosebumps all over. Love it
Utterly superb. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful piece.

Wahnsinnig gut!
Je vous salue depuis l'Afrique. Il faut conserver votre culture
Merci de ❤, on fait tout pour conservé notre culture 🌹. Avez-vous déjà vu les danses folk bulgare 😊?

this is Bulgaria! Proud of it!
First song was used in the Japanese anime Ghost in the shell intro. masterpiece both the original and the Japanese track.
They used a sample of it for Demon Slayer's Title Card
incredible work... amazing
I love how the conductor is also singing.
I've watched this video about ten times and it never stops giving me chills. I wish I could find a sheet music arrangement!
Удивително. Такъв красив звук.
this like something you'd hear in a cross-over between Witcher and Ghost in the Shell

I.Cry.Every.Time
The intro reminds me of a Ghost in the Shell song. Not sure which one though.
Or Halo...mmm
Kenji Kawai incorporated Bulgarian folk music elements in Ghost in the Shell main theme.
Appears so yeah :P
the intro was sampled by a band named VAST for their song touched...
Just listened to it. Not bad.
Just amazing!!!
they deserve a bigger stage
❤️🥰🇭🇷🔥 I love you🇧🇬

I came here to listen to some culture, not suddenly jerk my head around looking for the boss since it's theme just started playing. Gorgeous!
Браво! Наслада за душата!
VAST brought me here
Italian band Elio e le Storie Tese used this as the intro to their song "Servi Della Gleba"!
Едно от любимите ми изпълнения,по нищо неотстъпващо на хор Филип Кутев!!
This is “phenomenal”
Haha... Understood the reference
Mysterious - powerful - BRAVO
beautiful voices :D
Wow! I saw them once in London. This is perfection.

Fine ! Very soft .

very good!
That's so sacred
Bravo...Great performance!
For everyones info the origin of the song is Bulgarian and im proud to be a bulgarian
I wrote that four months ago. Now I have tears on my cheeks.
Host of the Seraphim - dead can dance. This must’ve been the inspiration for it

No, the director of the choir is Bulgarian but it's made up of all kinds of people.
ghosh in the shell!!
Just trying to scratch that itch that The Missing Cryptoqueen gave me
Dayo me trajo aqui!
Vast, Zelda And Xenogears all sample this.
Ok maybe not Xenogears but.. they did get the choir for the soundtrack though.
This is the intro music from ghost in the shell anime.
dit was mooi, tranen in mijn mijn ogen, oke :-)
How many bpm ?
Great work English people 👍👍
