Musica é musica, apenas tem umas q gosto e outras ñ. o Kenny G tem umas q são simplismente lindas, Essa é uma delas. Adorei. obrigado por me enviar. Bjs.
If you do not like because watching? It is for them to bother with Kenny G.I like Charlie Parker when they want to hear jazz and I like Kenny G when I want a song to calm me.Define so Kenny G !!!
His first albums were by far the best. More rhythm and more soul. But like someone said erlier, his tone on the sax is just one of a kind! Even though the songs been kinda cheesy lately
@Gonoman Kind of Blue conditioned jazz listeners' ears for the bebop that was going to come. Bebop is also generally considered to be a head followed by improvised solos, so it definitely could be considered bebop. These solos (in bebop) almost always utilize jazz scales with other idiosyncrasies such as a 6b, modal changes, 9#, and such. Kenny G does not use any techniques in his "solo" for this song. He rarely ever strays from the key and follows a very basic resolution pattern. (Contd.)
@Gonoman (contd. from 1st) While Kenny G's music may not be considered "bebop", he is definitely classifying this song as such. He can play his i'm-a-great-jazz-musician-bedroom-jazz stuff, and make more money and less art, but when he does something pretentious as to title one of his songs "G-bop", he insults a large base of musicians who have actually tried to push the envelope and play a musical style which is generally frowned upon. (contd. in 3rd)
@tombokickass Some of his older songs got labeled as "easy listening muzak"- a very bland, boring kind of office music without any power to excite the listener. Maybe some of his songs are like that, but definitely not this one.
See, that's the problem with Gorelick. He's trying to create a new cultural movement of SHIT! like "G-Bop" when he doesn't come close to showing us that he can play the original artistry of "Bebop". You poor souls who enjoy this, please take several doses of "Kind of Blue" by Miles Davis. Look, i'll even post a link: watch?v=DEC8nqT6Rrk Do not fret; this is not your fault. You have been lied to by the music industry and department stores alike.
Or maybe some people just enjoy this style of music more. They're more tired of elitist looking down their nose at the "commoners" than you are of Kenny G music. I'm a musician but I dont enjoy traditional jazz. That doesnt make us ignorant or brainwashed. It just means we have different tastes. If you're so highly offended by the titles of his songs or jealous of the money he makes from them, then go elsewhere with your pompous "better-than-thou" opinions.
What makes Kenny G work is that he so enjoys doing what he does! Fun performance of one my favorites songs by him.
kenny is even better live in concert. Topping it all with meeting him, buying one of his saxes, and having him play and sign that soprano.
I did the EXACT same thing my first Kenny g concert I ever went to I begged my parents to buy a soprano sax for me and they did 😁😁😁

There is no relevance to real bop in this video at all.. It's almost insulting that he tried to call this bop.
