Let's fly down or drive down to New Orleans. That city, 'so pretty, it's so extreme. I'll take you, I'll parade you, down Bourbon Street. You'll see all the hot spots, you'll meet all those big shots, down on New Orleans
Sounds great! Thanks! #JazzParade
Can someone explain to me why this video was changed. When I first saw it (I have the original version on VHS) back in the '80s, that guy you see at the beginning in the background at the table was sweeping the place with a push-broom, and started dancing while the boy watched and bopped along. It was a great video. I'm sad that I can't share it with friends.
That rendering also featured an outstanding upright base solo that's regretfully gone missing somewhere... they've edited it out of this version... RATZ !!!!
I fucking love new Orleans drumming, it's like one long drum solo, but so tasteful and musical
That is straight from our African ancestors.
BLESS YOU ALL!!!!!!
This says it all ❤

Good song by Mr. Marsalis
What an absolutely fantastic song
Sorry to be that guy, but it's a tune. A composition. It's not a song until words are added.
There are words, they just didn’t sing em on this recording.
