When the To Do List in my head gets overwhelming, I need to take the time to write it down on paper. It gives me a chance to really think things through and also be realistic about how much time the tasks require compared to my time. Doing that helps me to prioritize, focus and most of all relax. Giving oneself grace is always a good reminder.
I love your positivity and I hope to pick up on it... the stitching community is so loving and giving. I love seeing true emotions when opening cards and gifts. Looking forward to continuing this journey with you 🎄❤☃️
Loved your video as usual. Thank you so much. I fell yesterday. My knee is a little bruised and sore, my hands have a few pebble sores and my forearm by the elbow has a deeper skin tear. So very thankful, since I am 70 and have osteoporosis that I have no broken bones. So very thankful to the two wonderful men who stopped to help, as well as my husband and daughter. Busy street and I was close to traffic. I am so overjoyed with the concern and caring of people!!❤️🥰
Carol, I hope you'll be fully recovered soon. If your knee is still hurting in a few days do get it looked at. A few years ago I fell and walked around for two weeks before the knee pain was so bad at night I had to get something done. I'd broken my kneecap! Four weeks in a knee brace took care of that unlike the other one I shattered last September (see my post to Arttie). I'm 77 and until I broke that first kneecap when I was 73, I'd never broken a bone. I hope you're well enough to have a wonderful Christmas.
Thank you for the comments. I will definitely watch how sore my kneecap gets and get it checked if necessary. I think I was feeling sorry for myself this morning and I apologize for that😂 Thanks again! It was just so good to listen to Arttie! I look forward to whenever she posts!
One of my favorite sayings when things are overwhelming me is "Just Breathe". I wish everyone had your wonderful attitude. We need more like you right now. Have a great week.
Love visiting with someone who's all about Christmas & enjoys the season! Sadly,I receive very few Christmas cards, though I send out many. Mostly photo cards these days. I save the holiday ones too, as I love the artwork and like to revisit them. Enjoy your lovely new bag & thanks for the reminder to give ourselves grace! Merry, Merry!
Caregiving is an exhausting job. You are a blessing to your family. You have a positive attitude given all the challenges in your life. Keeping you and your family in my prayers Arttie.
I love spending time with you each morning. With all you have going on I really appreciate what you bring to us on your channel. Your cards and gifts are so nice. Have wonderful night and see you tomorrow.
Don't worry about missing a trivia question! Just seeing you and seeing your joy opening cards and packages are a treat! I hope you have a chance to rest and relax and get a lot of stitching in. Bandit is very lucky to have found a forever home!
What a wonderful gift. Every thing will work out even if we don't think so at the time. And we do need to learn to say no. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
What a joy you are Arttie. I love it when my notifications tell me you’re here to chat. You make my day in every way. Keep safe and well and look after yourself. Much love Gail xx ❤❤❤
Hello! I’m so glad you received a project bag. Please splurge use it. The bags make stitching a touch more special and add to the joy! Merry Christmas be bright and enjoy yourself! Ho Ho Ho
I needed the reminder. We are moving next week…so I’m doing what I can and will celebrate with my children in January! I pack up the rest of the sewing room tomorrow…
Thank you, Arttie. I’m up at 3:30 in the morning watching FlossTube because I’m finding it hard to sleep. I really needed to hear the message about grace. I’m going to pick some things that can end up on the island of good enough. Go bless!
Your positive attitude is going to be an inspiration to me; as I am chosing JOY as my word for 2023 and hoping to find some in every day regardless. I have stitchy goals and quilt goals that I let slide because I let things get to me; so hoping I can get past this and go, go, go. I was blessed as one of your winners earlier and never even got a thank you out to you.....shame on me. I do want you to know how much I did appreciate getting it though. I must learn not to let my moods effect how I treat others. You need a letter opener.....your poor scissors LOL. What a gorgeous bag !!
Hi Artie..Hope you get some me time now. You're always doing so many things and you share time with us too! Love the project bag you received. I didn't hear a trivia question today, but it's okay glad to see your smiling face. My favorite saying, you'll get there when you get there. Take care of yourself Artie and happy stitching.
Watched 3 times to find the trivia question. Was it there? Look forward to them, stimulates the grey matter and are fun. Two tomorrow? Can't wait to see the pictures of that quilt, looks interesting. Haven't finished my Christmas gifts yet but only one to go. Of course the most difficult to buy/create for! I had a purge of my craft room about 6 months ago and donated to a domestic violence shelter. They were looking for items for the women and particularly the children that could provide a distraction, even temporarily. Got some lovely thank you's, via the charity, with some pictures of items created. Wonderful. Thanks Artie for all your efforts, hopefully things settle down at home soon.
Love your videos-you are always so positive! Being a caregiver is very tiring! I am sure your mother in law appreciates all your help-you are a good person. Aren’t Barbara’s bags beautiful! I bought one as I won one of hers and I bought one of her flannel friends. They are gorgeous bags and so well made! She is such a sweet person, too!
Artie, I can so remember your feelings from a time in our life similar to what you are going through. . I do hope you can get alone to cry it out. So many stressors right now. It’s ok to feel overwhelmed. But I also know when it’s time to look back that you’ll have no regrets. Blessings to each of you.
Last week was just crazy for me, too! I got so behind on watching the videos that I didn't even notice that you missed any, until Saturday. I hope this week is starting out much better for you!!
Thank you for the reminder to give myself grace. We have been getting over a cold and I don't think we are in the clear yet. We all just feel a little crummy. We slept yesterday even tho there were so many things to do.
Whew! You have a lot on your plate! Park yourself on that island of good enough & relax. I have tried real hard to park myself there too & so far my parking attempt has stressed out my husband. Christmas will happen & no one's day will be ruined, I promise!!
Did I miss the question today? With all she has going on, I think Arttie just forgot to ask it. What a beautiful project bag you rec'd. Some people are so talented and creative. Gifts like that are treasures to enjoy. Hope you take some time to sit back and enjoy the day with your cards and gifts! You need a little "just me" time Arttie!!
Love the Be Kind, Spread Love and Find Peace. It is coming up to your 2nd UA-cam anniversary I think in January. I have watched and commented from the beginning. Have a great week. Did you forget the trivia question with all your excitement?
Love the project bags you received. I just got myself 3 and I have yet to use one. Can't decide which one to use. It is hard trying to care for an elderly parent. Been there but they are both now in heaven. Prayers for a better week. No trivia question????? Have a blessed day.
In my fifties, I was busy like you are with parents and children. Now that I'm in my sixties, life is slower, and I kind of miss the frantic pace of life I had in my fifties.
I love watching your Videos - they are so relaxing and so enjoyable to watch. My area is suppose to get a possibility of a Blizzard starting Thursday Night all the way into Christmas Night. I am not looking forward to this at all. I am hoping I can make it over to the Neighbors house on Christmas Day so I don’t have to spend Christmas Day alone. They are real good neighbors and they invited me over on Christmas Day to eat with them. Love your WIP - This is so pretty. Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🤗🧵🪡🧵☕️🎄🎅🏻❤️
Good morning! Hope you can have a little less stress today. If there is any chance you can find an hour just sitting with hubby. Listening to music and saying little, perhaps that hour will bring you a bit of piece. No matter how bad things are Jesus will get you through it! My dad’s favorite saying was This too will pass! 🙏💕💕 Of course I know easier said than done.
This is the hardest Christmas ever or at least since 2017 when my little sister had passed away. This time an older sister passed away on November 25. We're all very close and I have one sister left. I will say it puts everything in perspective. The things I get done or don't get done just don't matter much. Just let your loved ones know you love them.
I have been enjoying your vlogmas's so much, I wanted to suggest to you another alternative for DMC white. DMC has floche, one is equal to strands of regular floss. It seems to be a whiter white with better coverage. Here is to wishing you and your family a Very Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 and the happiness of all the New Year has to bring.
Missed a trivia question but I can understand why...that bag was amazing. I always write my to do list down...on multiple post it's! The list never seems to get smaller. However, my daily to do list only has 2-3 items on it. If I'm able to complete those the I can always add another item from the master to do list. This seems to be the way things work best for me.😊❤️
Thank you for the reminder to give myself a little grace this time of year. Life is crazy right now and some things just have to be put aside. The project bags you opened is lovely…use it! Hope you enjoy some stitching time today.
Good message about giving yourself grace. As for the dog, I was at someone's house on Saturday, that has an older dog, and it had a doggie diaper on. Maybe that would be a solution for you.
I use cards for several things, had a little lady she made angels out of the cards. Did you ask a ???? Use the bags I got Kogut’s fabric to make me one just not yet.
Arttie, I also keep my Christmas cards, they are so pretty and gritter. My husband, Dan, always say things will work out the way they are suppose to be, and they do. Would love to come to the retreat but 3 items 1. Dan will be coming , 2. need to raise $1,300, 3. does the Lodge allow pets (2 sm. dogs). I am in a wheelchair and I need help. Merry Christmas to you and family. Walk in Peace
I watched your floss tube through twice and you didn’t ask a question so does that mean there’s two questions tomorrow? Looking forward to possibly coming to your retreat I will have to email your address so that I can be on the list

it's so nice to see you so often. However, don't add any more stress on yourself, we all understand. Take the time to "Breathe." Nave a great day!
When things get a little overwhelming, just remember it’s not about the things, it’s about love. And peace. And grace. Happy Holidays.
