  • Exploring the enigmatic world of agnosias offers profound insights into the delicate intricacies of human perception and cognition. These conditions illuminate the complex interplay between sensory input and the brain's interpretive mechanisms, revealing how crucial our neurological wiring is to experiencing the richness of life. Through understanding the challenges faced by those with agnosias, we gain a deeper appreciation for the brain's capacity to construct our reality, emphasizing the resilience and adaptability of the human spirit. Ultimately, the study of agnosias not only expands our knowledge of the brain's capabilities and limitations but also enriches our empathy towards the diverse ways people perceive and navigate their worlds.

Thank you for this video! I’m autistic and I struggle with mild prosopagnosia, as well as intermittent verbal processing issues (I hear what people say phonetically sometimes). I’m excited to have this video to share with others so maybe they might understand me better.
I wonder if there is also a word to explain this?:
Visual perception delay: I can see objects and movement just fine, but it feels similar to how I experience prosopagnosia and auditory breakdown, in which I struggle to connect the meaning of the objects and movements, and understand what is happening around me. This can even look like me needing someone else to pull me out of the way of oncoming traffic, as if my brain is only saying, “that’s a car.” Instead of, “that’s a car that’s headed towards me and I need to move out of the way.”

He’s still a baby so the positive thing is his brain is still highly plastic (neuro plasticity) and with professional help and training the brain and avoiding any bad influences he still has a lot of chances - you should research a lot about positive reinforcement and other ways to train your child’s brain in a positive way
