What thrills me is the Lord has said "The intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate" The little child reciting his catechism saying "Who made me? God made me to love Him , serve Him in this world and be with Him happy forever in the next" This child knows better than Stephen Hawking. Jesus praised His Father for hiding the mysteries from the learned and the clever and revealing them to mere children. Praise the Holy Trinity. Praise Jesus the Son of the living God.
1. A Roman Catholic priest was the first to postulate the Big Bang. He convinced Einstein, who was very skeptical. 2. Newer ground radio/optical telescopes and orbiting observatories have discovered non-visible 'skeletons' connecting the galactic clusters. Whether this is the missing Dark Matter is anyone's guess. 3. I am Roman Catholic and am trying very hard to be faithful to Her. I cannot believe that everything came from a tiny particle, which came from nothing, and then exploded. The idea that everything in existence came into being by directly defying the basic law of entropy is ludicrous. I believe that God was and is manipulating creation to produce the basic laws of physics, nature, etc. as well as the much more abstract rules of quantum physics. I am unshakable convinced of God's existence because things would not work without him.
Steven Calkum I'm not sure if I'm board with Father on this one. I like how Frank Turek says it ... " Both atheists and Christians believe in the big bang. We just know who Banged it"
Steven, "I am Roman Catholic and am trying very hard to be faithful to Her. I cannot believe that everything came from a tiny particle, which came from nothing, and then exploded." But this is NOT what the theory says. There was no tiny particle which exploded. The priest giving this homily, claiming he has scientific training, does nothing but presenting a false image of the theory. I'd looooooove to meet him face to face and tell him a thing or two about honesty. This pisses me off on so many levels. On one level as a scientist and on another level as a catholic. Just to mention two of those levels.
My prediction- this and a few other priests are going to go mainstream, outside Catholic audience. Vital message, very interesting. And hugely funny to boot.
+Kevin Snider Black holes only grow. The matter they are belching is new matter that came too close .The hole eats most with some matter escaping thru the poles .
Like evolution- lack of evidence, extreme pressure to not dissent. And laymen have had it drummed into them so long, its accepted science,right.. No a theory!
I hope Stephen Hawking found the Lord before he died. From what I have heard about him, he had a sense of humour so maybe he did not take himself too seriously. There are quite a few high profile atheists that need our prayers for their conversation, I have one in mind that I am going to keep praying for.
I love this Priest. The Earth was prior to the forming of the stars and other celestial bodies according to scripture. The stars were placed after the forming of the earth for the purpose of keeping order and time for Adam the caretaker, who himself would come in an orderly sequence of time.
William F. Buckley Jr , I think the plain sequence of creation places earth prior to heavenly objects. In a certain sense the ‘cosmos’ were created to be a clock, so to speak, to keep order of times and seasons for the benefit of man and his rule. Modern science states, theoretically, heavenly explosion in space then formation of stars and earth, the ideas contradict each other. That’s all I was trying to get at. There is an intended order to intelligent creation.
Earth is not a spaceball. Earth is an enclosed system from which nothing can escape except through death, and then only through a favorable judgement. The moon is not an object that men can land on. 🤣🤣🤣 Water always finds its level.
To me it just boggles the mind that anyone (and worse still, intellectually well-formed people) would say that the universe is expanding... expanding whereto? That is a philosophical impossibility.
We exist in a 3d point expression of higher dimensional in infinite nothing = word of god This 3d point sends out infinite continuous photons in all directions for infinity time and distance each photon is sent into infinite nothing forever creating a universe bubble for infinite universes in each bubble all photons that are resent in same angle from 3d point will fall behind the first photon that created bubble at specific angle.....once photon is killed at end of infinite nothing where it dies, then the next photon behind it will be the new max point of that same universe bubble. This is like a treadmill where a continuous flow of infinite photons has always occurred and our stars and matter and galaxies in our leading photon max for each angle is a random stream that also runs a flow of continuous infinite matter structures on a matter treadmill....all being done in each infinite photon universe angle from single 3d point. Technically we are 13.6 billion years....but inside a bubble universe that has been spitting matter out like a stream or river for infinite time.....from where we are, it is 13.6 billion years....but in the future another exactly same planet and civilization will reoccur and we will still say 13.6 billion years even if we are not technically the same stream of matter.....but we are....there is even each permutation of matter and organic decisions.
8:38 "I'm trained as a scientist." Then spends the entirety of the homily proving he doesn't understand the very basics of the theory he attacks with such vitriol.

Praise be to you, Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you very much for video, God bless you and keep you.

Peter Carlson why wait to meet the priest when you can post your thoughts here for us to see
@@Leonard_izuegbunam Why are you assuming that any discussion I might have with this priest is for your ears?
@Mauricio Chalons Lazaro Nothing exploded. There was no explosion.

If nothing can escape from a black hole how could the universe have escaped from the ultimate black hole ?Just asking .
+Barry Jaquith
Black holes reach a critical mass at a certain point and eject large amounts of matter.

Nothing exploded and became everything.
Big Bang counter: if i throw explosives into a scrap yard, is a car going to come out? No
Thanks!

But why not 15,000,000,001 years ago?
Were numerals and figuring contained in that tiny little thing?
But Father wasn't the big bang first postulated by a Catholic priest
It was, and so was the Reformation! The bottom line Catholic priests can be wrong :)
